"What the hell!" I stood glaring at the window, seeing through my creature's eyes.
They have figured out that I wanted to get one of the alone. It seems that I would have to find another way to get to one of them. Maybe I could find a family member that didn't live with them. Of course, I knew that Draven's parents didn't live here, but I couldn't go back home to get them. So it would have to be someone that was in the states. I wasn't sure that his bitch wife had family here. That is something I would have to look into. It wouldn't be that hard to do. So I let the connection between me and the creature fall away. Letting it go back to what I tasked it to do. This one wasn't strong like the others. My magic was vapors at the moment. The thing was, I wasn't sure that I would get it back. The curse had done enough to my body and mind that I wish I was dead.
Over the years, I had wondered if Draven thought of me. Did he wonder what happened to the man he gave over to the witches? In truth, I didn't think he cared at all, I wasn't the first or the last. He did what the coven wanted him to do. I really shouldn't blame him for that, but it pissed me off to the depths of my soul. Sitting on the bed, I sighed, feeling like a weight was on my chest. Over the last few weeks, I found myself getting weaker as each day passed. If I didn't get this done soon, I would end up dead. Well if the curse would allow me to die. No, the witch that did this made sure I would watch as I became powerless to stop things happening. Slowly I let my eyes close, rest is what I needed at this moment.
Natalia
I looked out at the backyard to see that the thing was still standing watching us. Draven figures it is there to watch us. To see if we went out alone. My worry was my parents, I knew they were miles away. The thing was, I didn't want to have them get hurt. I had suggested to Draven that we ask them to come to the lab house. So they would be safe from whatever it is. Maybe I should just go ahead and call them and have them go to the house. It was set up to be more secure than this house. When I grabbed my phone, I noticed Rave was standing looking at me.
"Called Gran?" She asked, looking almost happy.
"Yes, I think sending them to the house would be wise. Not that she will want to go." I told her with a frown on my face. "Maybe you could get her to listen."
"Me? Are you crazy? That woman does her own thing no matter what people tell her." Raven told me with a laugh.
"Brat." I smacked her arm as I dialed my mom's number. "Mom?"
"Natalia, what has you calling me this early in the morning." Mom sounded happy.
"Yes, we have an issue. There is someone that is after someone in the family. Not really sure who or what at the moment. Can you please go to the house over the lab?" I could hear her mumbling to Dad about what was going on.
"Is it really that bad?" She asked finally when she came back to the phone.
"Would I be calling if it wasn't." I asked her, rolling my eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me." Mom told me with a sigh. "Fine, we will go."
I got off the phone with her, then looked at Raven. She laughed when she went to see Juilian in the backyard. I worried about her and him, we still didn't know what he was. The blood work hadn't really showed us anything we didn't already know. One thing it did tell us was that he had drank blood for a long time in his life. How she figured that out is beyond me. Her guess is that he was a vampire at one point. He would have been a part of one of the covens overseas. Draven wanted to see if his parents knew who he was. Trouble was, we didn't have a picture of him in a human form. I had a thought pop into my head and I went straight to school. When I came to the art room, I stopped to knock. Someone in the room said come in, so I pushed the door open enters the room. It was the smell that greeted me first. The smell of paint, clay and something else hit me. It was always like that in art rooms. I looked around seeing painting on the walls, of people, scenery and what looked like an abstract of someone.
"I hate to interrupt your class. I was wondering if you or someone in the class might be able to do a miracle." I smiled as I walked up to the desk the older gentlemen was seated at.
"What would that be?" He asked, putting his pencil down.
"As you might know we have a man that has been cursed to be twisted and look, well like a monster. I was wondering if someone might be able to untwist it in art." I smiled brightly when he looked shocked at my request.
"I would love to try and help. I have two students that might have the talent to help." He said looked over his class.
"Do you need him to sit for you or do you want a picture of him?" I asked, smiling brightly with hope.
"It would be better if he was here." The teacher said with a smile. "Alright everyone, class dismissed. If Trent and Monica, can you please stay after with me."
I watched as the students left the room. I had already sent a message to Raven to bring Juilian to the art class. She didn't understand why I wanted him here. When they arrived I smiled brightly at Raven then to Juilian. We explained to them what I had come up with and Juilian was rather happy to try so he sat down for them to work. Raven worried as the students and teacher went to work. Hours after hours, they all worked to untwist his features. After six hours they all stopped to get food, drink and see if they were all going in the same direction. Raven fused over him Juilian who told her to stop worrying so much.
"So we all seem to be on the same path. If you want, we can stop now and let us all get some sleep. Maybe set up for you to come back tomorrow night. That way we can do more work. It is best to have you sitting in here with us." The teacher looked between me and Juilian.
"I would be happy to do more tomorrow." Juilian stood, stretching his body.
