Chapter 313 Going to the Laboratory

Chapter 313 Going to the Laboratory

Cleo and her team kept shorting Carter Group's stock, trapping the initial investors. By the time they realized what was happening and tried to get out, it was too late.

"We've already trapped 12% of the shares, which are worth $13 billion!"

Cleo nodded, "Nice work. You've got three days to cut the price in half, then start pushing it back up."

Alexander wasn't worried about the Carter Group's stock fluctuations. It was just a distraction; his real focus was on Allison.

Bernard, now able to get out of bed, came to see Allison.

"What do I have to do to get the missile key from you?"

Allison, sitting cross-legged on the bed, smiled at him. "Why do you need the missile key? Planning to start a war?"

Bernard shook his head. "It's for self-defense. I won't start a war unless I absolutely have to."

Allison didn't buy it. "Prime Minister, you know Eldoria can't have weapons of mass destruction under international law. If I give you the key, I'll be wanted worldwide!"

Bernard smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. "That's not your problem, Ms. Bennett. Just name your price for the key."

"Prime Minister, Genesis Creations doesn't deal in arms. Even if you had the missiles, the key is useless. I've already given it to the rightful owners. If I were you, I'd return them to avoid trouble."

Bernard's face darkened. He grabbed Allison's collar and shouted, "Allison, are you messing with me?"

Allison didn't struggle; she just looked innocently at Bernard. "As your surgeon, I should remind you to keep your cool. If a blood vessel bursts, I might not be able to save you again."

Bernard let go of her collar, still skeptical. "Ms. Bennett, if you don't hand over the key, you'll regret it."

Allison adjusted her collar and looked at Bernard with disdain. "Prime Minister, what do you think you can do to me? Do you think I'd come here unprepared?"

Bernard glared at her, convinced she was bluffing. He ordered, "Take her to the dungeon. Make her talk. No food until she gives up the key!"

Byron entered, his face cold, and ordered the guards to move Allison. But as they approached, they fell to their knees. Even Byron was affected, leaving Bernard stunned.

"How did you do that?"

Allison smirked. "What I can do is beyond your understanding. I can kill without a trace or drive you mad. Want to try?"

Bernard felt a chill run down his spine, realizing he was the prey, not the hunter. "What do you want?"

Allison smiled. "Open your medical lab. I want to see it. By the way, I'm also an investigator for the United Medical Agency. If you don't open the lab, Eldoria will lose its right to apply for medical patents."

Bernard gasped, finally understanding who he was dealing with. "Allison!"

Bernard was furious, but Allison wasn't scared. The whole scene was live-streamed to Carl. Seeing Bernard's defeat, Carl called Alexander.

"Allison is going to inspect Eldoria's medical lab. Bernard will hide the most important things. She'll be in danger. I'll get you in. Remember, get her out, no matter what she says."

Alexander hung up and made another call. "Get ready. We move tonight."

After hanging up, Alexander opened the link Sabrina sent. He could see Allison's location and hear her breathing. He held his breath. "Allison?"

Allison responded, then realized. "Alexander?"

Alexander smiled, his voice husky but sexy. "Just listen to me."

Allison lay on the bed, staring at the white ceiling, imagining Alexander's face. She missed him.

"Bernard will prepare before letting you inspect. He won't show you the core experiments."

Allison listened as Alexander continued, "I just need the lab's location. Eldoria's lab security is high. Your bio-tracker will be detected, so turn it off before entering. Got it?"

Allison yawned, listening to Alexander's rambling, and fell asleep. Hearing her steady breathing, Alexander closed his eyes, finally getting a good night's sleep.

At midnight, Alexander's phone rang. He answered. "Alexander, go to the rooftop."

He changed and went to the elevator. On the rooftop, someone was waiting.

"Mr. Carter, long time no see!"

It was Jake. He handed Alexander a backpack and led him to a rope. "We'll zipline to the other building, then drive away. Your identity is crucial. If exposed, our efforts are wasted."

Alexander didn't hesitate, using the pulley to zipline across. Jake followed, impressed. "Carl, this guy's got skills. He's been hiding his talents."

"Keep an eye on him. Don't let him cause trouble for Allison."

Jake laughed, then they went to the parking lot. Jake handed Alexander a bag. "You'll pose as security, stay close to Felix. When you see Allison, don't approach. Just watch from a distance."
