Chapter Seventy-Nine: Risen.

Chapter Seventy-Nine: Risen.

FOR a moment, Loki was afraid. His mind blackout. Thinking that his wife has become a hybrid made him feel bad.

“Show her to me, then!” Loki shouted.

“You just need to wait for a few hours, she’s still meditating.”

His brow arched. It means that she hasn’t woken up! He still has a chance to find her and stop Alistair.

To make sure that Alistair wouldn't know what he was planning to do, he remained silent. He didn't give him any hint on what he was going to do next.

“Where is she?” he asked.

“Why would I tell you?”

He didn't reply, he glared at him as he waited for his chance to attack. They were walking side by side as the growls and shouts are visible from the outside.

“I’ve been waiting for this for one hundred years!” he laughed. “Now I will bring down your pack with my own hands!”

Because he wasn’t giving any signs of attack, Alistair attacked him first. In a blink, Alistair was already in front of him. He grabbed his neck and gripped it while his eyes is red.

“What are you waiting for? Fight with me!” she shouted.

But Loki remained silent, looking at him with pride in his eyes. He was choking but it doesn’t matter, he has to wait for his turn… until…

Loud growls made Alistair loosen his grip on Loki’s neck. He took that as a chance to push him away. Alistair was dragged to the ground as the pack warrior quickly attacked him.

“Where are you going?!” Alistair shouted.

“I’ll get back what’s mine,” he replied.

He immediately runs inside the palace. He buys time. The moment they entered their place, he knew that Alistair will welcome him right away. That’s why he needs to buy time to be able to find Shiloh inside the palace.

He was running inside, opening each of the doors that he passed through. Until he saw a vampire who was hiding inside a small room. She looked afraid and innocent, he quickly went inside the room and take out the woman.

“Where’s the Queen?” he asked.

The woman was still shivering. She’s a vampire but she looked so weak…

“S-she’s dead,” she replied. “Please help me.”

His soft heart felt bad for her but at the same time, he knows that it might be bait.

“She’s not dead. What did Alistair do to her?”

“I… don’t know,” she replied.

“I will help you if you tell me where she is.”

Her eyes looked like she was desperate. She was desperate to get help. So she turned her back and then started to walk. Loki looked around as he follow her.

“Faster…” he told her.

The woman immediately disappeared in front of him, then she was now far from him. He shook his head as he followed the woman. Until they reached the top floor of the palace.

The woman opened the door to the biggest room he has ever seen inside this gloomy palace.

“You need to be careful, she will wake up soon…”

He looked back at the woman before he started to go inside. A coffin was in the middle of a big dark room.

Bats flew on him but he managed to shove them all away. He can feel that there’s something wrong in here but he continued on walking until he’s in front of the coffin.

He scoots over to start opening the coffin. Slowly, trying to make sure that he wasn’t fooled. And when she opened it, his heart almost popped out of his chest when he saw Shiloh.

She was lying inside the coffin, wearing a black dress. Her body was pale like she was dead. When he tried to touch her, her body was cold and he couldn’t feel any pulse in her pulse.

“My Queen…” he murmured.

His body weakened as he held her body in his arms.

“I’m sorry… I am sorry!” he cried. “Sorry I was late, Shiloh.”

It was heartbreaking. Although he expected this, he still couldn’t believe it. It’s hard to accept that his wife is now lying in the coffin and was ready to be reborn as a hybrid.

Knowing that he knows that Shiloh won’t be able to remember him as soon as she wakes up. And it’s hard to accept that.

“Are you done mourning?”

He stopped when he heard Alistair’s voice. He didn’t move. He stayed there waiting for his presence. Because he can’t feel that he was here.

“If you’re done, could you let me see my bride?”

He clenched his fists as he gritted his teeth. If he stood up here and he was the first one who sees by Shiloh, he will control her!

“Come on, Loki! Let go of my bride!” Alistair shouted.

Then he has suddenly pushed aside. His side crashed into a rocky wall which made him groan. It was painful but he didn’t dodge. He immediately stood up and saw Alistair in front of the coffin. He was trying to touch Shiloh but he didn’t let him.

Loki turned into a Lycan. He quickly attacked Alistair. With force, he tried to rip his face using his fingernails. Alistair screamed in pain. He tried to attack him back but he couldn’t because Loki was able to lock him up with his arms.

“I didn’t know that you’re stronger than this!” he laughed.

And when Loki was about to press him harder, Alistair disappeared in his arms.

“Voila!” Alistair smiled. “Do you think you can defeat me in that instant?”

Loki didn’t waste time, he attacked him again before he could get near Shiloh again. His goal was to keep his eyes away from Shiloh. Because once their eyes met, it will all be over.

He was still hoping… even though it was just a one percent chance that she will get back to him. He will still take that chance!

“There’s no time, Loki!” Alistair shouted.

But he ignored that. Alistair had to see Shiloh in time for his plan to be successful but…

He stopped attacking Alistair when he saw Shiloh. She has risen up!

At that moment, Alistair was about to look at Shiloh but Loki didn’t let that happen. As soon as Shiloh turned her attention to them, he pulled down Alistair on the ground.
