Chapter 15 Fifteen

Chapter 15 Fifteen

Elara's POV

The sun was singing to set, casting a warm orange hue across the sky. I walked into the command center. My gun safely tugged to my side. I walked round, sitting on the far end of the seven foot table. My eyes surveyed the laying paperwork scattered on my table.

I scanned the documents, my mind racing with strategies. I picked up a particular paper, kept safely underneath an old brown file.

I pulled it out, unfolding it. There was a list of sixteen syndicate leaders. Their names scribbled in red ink. Danger. They were in my kill list with Lucas name heading the rest.

I pulled out a drawer from my table and took out a ball pen.

Slowly and intricately, I wrote down Silvester's name. He was the seventeenth person on my kill list but he was going to be the first to taste blood.

The thought of his audacity made my skin crawl. I couldn't stand him anymore. I was merciful enough to let him leave the territory after he disrespected me. This time, I wasn't going to let him get away.

I tapped the pen against the table, thumping it in sync with my thoughts. I felt my jaw tightening.

Silvester was going to pay for his betrayal. I would make sure his end would be slow and painful. He had exhausted his first chance and there were no more second chances.

No more warnings. He was going to pay. I would make an example out of him so that the rest would learn and no other fool would dare cross me.

If I could eliminate Silvester, the other pack would respect our syndicate.

Smart move!

I leaned back into the chair, my mind already planning my next move. I stood up, grabbing the papers. I was done being soft. It was time to remind everyone why I was their boss. I had to remind them of my people. My syndicate has come to stay and nothing would break us. Nothing can break us.

My gaze went back to the table. My eyes caught an envelope with a seal that was yet to be broken. I picked out the envelope from the rest of the others. The envelope was new. Clean. A little dusty with the seal of the Penta house on it.

A frown stretched out on my face.

What is this?

I turned the envelope in my hands. Literally it wasn't heavy but ironically it had the feeling of weight on it.

It had to be important.

They Penta house pack were always known to mind their business. They never interfered. The loved self peace… pack peace.

My fingers worked very fast as I broke g the seal open.

I pulled out the letter inside and unfolded it slowly.

My eyes swept across the words. My heart tightened in my chest. My eyes absorbed everything scribbled on the dull paper.

It was an invite. They want to have a meeting with me.

What would they want to meet with me?

What was their agenda?

Do they want to strike a deal or do they want to threaten us?

What role do we get to play in their little game?

It was a meeting invite from the Penta house. They wanted to meet me in three days. Secret location. No guards. No weapons. Just me alone, meeting with Alpha Allan link we were going to talk about the weather.

My lips pressed into a thin line. I smelled trouble. Big trouble. But I couldn’t back out. I had to show up. I had to prove they couldn’t scare me. I had to show them that my rouge pack had come to stay and there was no tuning back.

They either accepted our worth or faced our wrath.

I took a deep breath, my fingers crumpling the letter in my hand. They wanted to test me, but I would not blink. I was going to yield to their request my own way. I grabbed my leather jacket and strapped my gun tighter.

Three days was enough for me to prepare. Three days was enough to gather little secrets about Penta house.

Alpha Allan.

A green snake in the green grasse

I wasn't going to walk in there blind because I knew that's what Alpha Allan would expect me to do.

I would walk in like I owned the place. Walk in like a queen. I was a queen and I would walk in with my head held high, no fear in my eyes.

My pack was my family. It was my duty to protect them To fight for them and I would make sure the world knew we were untouchable.

If they wanted war? I would give them war. In a thousand folds.

Suddenly the door opened. Throne walked in like he knew I wanted to see him.

“I looked for you in your room and you weren't there. I decided to come here cause I figured you would be here.”

“Did you get any letters from the mailbox?” Inquired, sitting at the edge of the table, my legs crossed.

“Yh. A letter of appreciation for the sorority party you attend and also….”

I raised the crumbled paper, holding it with the tip of my fingers.
“This?.”

Throne’s eyes landed on the letter, his face dropping a little.

He gave me this knowing small nod. “Yes, that one too. It came in this morning. I didn’t open it. I thought you should see it first,” he said.

I leaned back a smirk appearing on my lips. I tossed the paper into a waste bin that lay around. “It’s from the Penta house. They want to meet with me… alone… they don't want no guards and weapons,” I said coldly.

Throne’s jaw clenched, his body stiff. “This is a trap, Boss.” he muttered. “Those monsters!.”

I smiled darkly, an oblivious smile on my lips. “I know. I am not a fool . Allan thinks he's smart but I’ll go. We don’t run from power plays. They would take us as cowards. We would show them who we are and what we are made off.

Throne nodded slowly. “
