Chapter 69 Ashley
Elena’s POV
“Clara, I—”
“Your hand is bleeding,” she said as she rushed over to check my hand.
“How did this happen?” she asked.
I was relieved that she didn’t see when I punched the mirror.
But how was I going to explain this now.
“Well I was trying to get away from an insect that was flying around. It was a really huge bug.”
“Oh okay,” she said but I knew she wasn’t buying it.
“You have to be careful Elena, what would happen if Liam saw this?”
“No!” I held her hand tightly. “You can’t tell him about this, please Clara.”
“Okay I won’t, you are squeezing my hand Elena,” she said and I let go immediately.
I laughed nervously. “Sorry, I just don’t want him to worry too much.”
“I understand, the wedding organizer is still waiting outside, don’t you want to see her.”
“I do but can we do this tomorrow, I don’t feel so good,” I said but it wasn’t exactly a lie.
Clara looked at me for a while. “Elena, is this about the wedding? It’s okay if you don’t want to get married now. I know it can be a lot. I know Liam would understand.”
“No, it’s not that, I don’t have a problem with getting married, I honestly don’t see myself with anyone other than Liam, I’m just tired, that’s all.” I said with a weak smile.
“Okay, you know you can tell me anything right? I mean we are friends after all.”
“The best, but I’m really fine,” I lied.
“Okay then let’s get to the clinic and have that treated.” I nodded as we went out of the bathroom.
“I’m really sorry ma’am but we will have to postpone this meet up, the Luna isn’t feeling too good,” Clara said.
I felt bad for wasting her time but she smiled and said. “It’s okay, i will be waiting until you let me know when you are ready.”
“I will, I promise,” I said as she bowed to us.
We left the building and was about to get into the car when my phone rang.“Hello? This is Elena speaking,” I said.
“Miss Elena, I’m the receptionist in the hospital, I’m calling to let you know that your sister Ashley Stone is fully conscious now and about to be discharged, she said she would like to see you.”
“Oh that’s great news, thank you, I’m on my way there.”
“What is it?” Clara asked.
“It’s Ashley, she finally awake and she about to be discharged.”
“That’s great Elena,” she smiled. “Take us to the hospital now,” she said to the driver.
“Yes ma,” he said as he turned the car around and we were heading to the hospital.
I ran out of the car immediately we got there.
“Hello, my name is Elena Stone, I’m here”
“For Ashley Stone,” she said with a smile and I nodded. “Room 201, follow the left, she has been waiting for you.”
“Thank you,” I said as we rushed off to the room.
“Elena?” Ashley said immediately she saw me.
I ran over and hugged her tightly. “You are finally okay.”
“Yes, I have missed you,” she said.
“I missed you too, I could come not after what happened...”
“I know, please don’t be too mad at them,” she said. “They are just trying to cope with everything they have done.”
I wanted to argue with her but I was just happy she was okay so I bit back what I wanted to say.
She changed from her hospital gown and into her normal clothes.
I helped her walk to the car.
“Elena what happened to your hand?” she held up my palm.
“It’s nothing,” I said.
“Elena, we need to get that treated,” Clara said.
“Okay fine,” I said and we went back inside to get it treated.
“Try not to do too much with that hand and it will be fine, thankfully it’s not infected and it will heal quickly.”
“Thank you Doctor,” I said and we left the hospital.
“What! You are getting married,” Ashley shouted.
“Yes I am, I have already gone for my dress fitting,” I smiled.
“I can’t believe I missed that,” she muttered.
“We were supposed to go for the second fitting today but Elena said she wasn’t really feeling like it,” Clara said.
“Why not Elena? Is it because of your hand?” Ashley looked worried.
“No,” I said. I couldn’t tell her that it was because I was seeing a girl that I had been dreaming about in real life.
I didn’t want to go before but seeing Ashley here and alive made me feel happy.
“We could still go,” I muttered.
Clara turned and looked at me in surprise. “Are you sure?”
“Yes, I think if I push any further, we wouldn’t have time for it and I don’t think I would want to wear a dress that looked huge on me on my wedding day.”
Clara beamed and so did Ashley. “Okay then let’s do it.”
The driver took us to the store in town.
“You are kidding right?” Ashley gasped as she looked at the store.
I just remembered that she wasn’t here the last time.
“No, this is where I’m getting my dress,” I smiled.
“Elena, this is the Queens, remember how we talked about this so much when we were kids, you are literally living our dream,” she beamed.
I laughed. “No one is going to believe us when we tell them.”
“Of course not, I wouldn’t have believed you if I wasn’t standing here right now.”
“Come on, let's go on,” Clara said.
My dress was finally ready and it was time for me to put it on. I couldn’t do that last time because I was too shocked from seeing Ciara in my dressing room taunting me but now I was ready.
The girl from last time helped me put it on. I looked at myself in the mirror and I fell in love with the dress again.
“I’m ready to show them,” I smiled widely and so did she.
“Oh my goodness,” Clara gasped. “Elena, you look”
“Unreal,” Ashley completed her sentence.
“Yes,” Clara said, still stunned.
“I knew you were beautiful little sis but you look like a real life princess,” she said.
I felt my cheeks getting hot.
I turned around and looked at the mirror that was behind me.
I did look good. I had my dress and now I couldn’t wait to get to show it to Liam.
