Zane’s POV
To say I was surprised about Ivy wanting to come along was an understatement. But she walked over to Gerald and let him transport them both to the hill. I did the same with Zara and the twins and soon Albert and Bethany joined us too.
“Why are you all here?” one of the men stammered before looking at the twins who Zara had just placed down at her feet.
“The twins are growing very quickly” I smirked
“So, I promised them some fresh blood” Zara told him as she looked around the men until they landed on the one she wanted “You will be my children’s first feed” she told him as she waved her hands at Gerald “Bring him to me”
“As you wish my Queen” he chuckled as he bowed low and went to retrieve the man.
“What have they done to you” Dennis yelled “This is not you Zara, don’t let them ruin you”
“Excuse me?” she snarled “Ruin me?”
“You are sweet and kind” he continued
“No” she snickered “What you saw was me trying to avoid human interaction and just exist. With Zane I feel more alive than ever and he has not tried to change me in any way. But you” she growled as she walked right up to his cage “You thought that it was fine to trick me to donate my blood and then you sold it as a fucking date rape drug. You used my fucking best friend to try and get close to me, even though I made it fucking obvious that I was not fucking interested in you. Then you sent men to my fucking home, destroying everything we had bought for our twins before setting it on fire. Then you did the same with my friend’s homes. Now tell me what gives you the fucking right to try and judge me, you evil son of a bitch”
She didn’t wait for a reply and instead walked back to the guy who Gerald was holding for her.
“Now” she called out to all the men “Before my children have their feed, we have a question for you” he looked at me and I grinned as I stepped beside her.
“You come after us because we are supernatural, but so is your leader. But I am assuming he has not told you what he is. So, I am curious to know who is following him because they want to, rather than the need to?”
The men looked at each other in confusion before looking at Dennis in fear.
“Dennis is a Siren” Zara told them all “He can manipulate anyone into doing as he wishes, even the supernatural as long as they are not mated”
“That’s why he wanted Zara so badly. She is a succubus and his powers do not work on her” I told them “So think hard about why you are helping him and I can almost guarantee you don’t know why”
“How can we fight it?” one man asked
“Now that you know what he is it should be easier” Bethany told them “But make sure he does not touch you and don’t look him in the eyes. Both will make allow him stronger control on you, the ones that have been here and away from him the longest should feel less pull to help him”
“So, you should let us go” one man called out “We didn’t know what we were doing”
“But you still did it” Albert snarled “You could have still fought it if you really wanted to, but you still chose to come after us”
“We didn’t do anything to you” Ivy chimed in “Yet you still came after us, so why the hell should we let you get away with it?”
“Ivy” Dennis sighed “I really did care about you, you know”
“Fuck off” she laughed “You used your power on me to make me have feelings, now I know what you are I know it was all fake”
“It was not all fake” he tried to argue”
“Yes, it was” she laughed “Because now I know what real love feels like” she wrapped her arms around Gerald “And what we had does not even compare”
“Now my babies need to feed” Zara told everyone “Bring him to his knees” she told Gerald
The twins grinned at her before walking over to the man who was now sobbing.
“Hi” Isla smiled as she walked over and waved her hands in the air.
The man Gerald was holding suddenly stopped moving and looked at her in pure fear “I can’t move” he sobbed
“I know” she giggled “You can let him go now Uncle Ger
“Uncle Ger?” Gerald asked her as he stepped aside
“She struggled to say your full name” Lachlan told him as he walked right up to the guy “Come on sis”
“Yummy” she giggled as she skipped to the guy’s other side and they both sank their fangs in at the same time.
The man let out a blood curling scream as the twins feasted. I knew after a couple of minutes when the man started to go white that the twins planned on draining him dry. Once he was dead the stepped away and Isla waved her hands again causing the man to fall to the ground.
“Full now” Isla grinned as she lifted her arms for me to pick her up.
“Did you like it?” I asked her
“Yes” she nodded “Did you like how I made him freeze?”
“It was very impressive” I agreed
“Very impressive” Bethany chuckled “I am curious to see what else my darling granddaughter can do”
“Lots” Lachlan told her and she picked him up “I can do tricks too, but can’t show them all to the enemies”
“You let them kill him” Dennis growled
“I did” Zara grinned “Why would I not? Would he have let my kids live?”
Dennis looked away as we all knew the answer and no, none of these men would have hesitated to kill the twins.
