Zara’s POV
“Let’s go” I told Zane “Leave them to think about how Dennis here manipulated them”
All the men glared at Zane as I watched Bethany and Albert disappear with Lachlan and then we followed with Isla in my arms.
Mum and dad were waiting for us when we arrived back.
“Did my babies have a nice feed?” mum asked as she took Isla off me
“Yeah, and it turns out that Isla can freeze people” I told them as I glared at Isla “We are curious to know what else they can both do”
“We will find out” Zane chuckled “Like Lachlan said, they don’t want to show off all their tricks in front of the enemy”
“The enemy that will all soon die” I replied
“Let’s talk about that with the twins once we get back” Ivy told us as she arrived with Gerald “As right now we need to leave and go house hunting”
She was right and I am sure once we had the twins alone in our chambers, they would let us know what other tricks they could do.
“Let’s go and find our new home” Zane whispered in my ear
“Let’s go” I nodded as I grabbed a bag and my phone before meeting everyone by the front door and heading out.
Since we had mum and dad with us we all decided to go on the boat. We had a van and car at the wharf, so mum and dad could use the car and me and the rest of us can just transport ourselves.
“We will go in the car with Betty and Roland” Bethany told us “Just to make sure they are safe, as what if we didn’t get them all and they have some men watching us”
“What?” I gasped “You don’t think we are safe? Should we be here looking at houses then? What if they go to the island and free the hunters while we are not there?”
“We didn’t leave any behind” Gerald sighed “We are fine to leave and look at houses”
“Also, if anyone goes on the island I will know” Zane told me “No one can get on or off without my knowledge”
“If anyone goes on the island while we are gone we all need to head back” I told them “I am not risking our next home getting damaged or my kids getting hunted. I want all the hunters killed”
“And we will” Albert told me “We will not allow any hard to come to the twins”
“Relax” Zane told me “I promise if anyone tried to enter the island I will get everyone to head back”
“Ok” I sighed as I tried to relax.
We reached the doc and I watched mum and dad get in the car with Bethany and Albert before driving off.
“We will let you know when we are finished” Gerald told us as they disappeared
“Let’s go and meet the fist agent” Zane grinned as he transported us to a very nice-looking area.
“Wow” I chuckled “This place is sure made for the rich and famous”
“It is rather congested” Zane shuddered as a lady walked past with a small dog in a stroller
“What the fuck” I grunted “Why is the dog not walking?”
“Who knows” Zane laughed “This is the house that was second on the list, I hope the next one is in a more open area”
“With people who let the dog walk when they take it for a walk” I sighed “As I don’t think I will fit in here”
“Let’s look at the house first, you never know we might get to hide away and not have to see any of the neighbours”
“Let’s hope” I sighed as we walked to meet the agent outside the largest house in the complex.
“Mr Mitchell” the agent beamed as she walked over to us “I know you are going to love this house” she told him as she went to push me and the twins aside.
“This is my wife and my children” Zane told her as he stepped away from her and back to my side.
“Oh” She stammered as she looked at me and the twins “I was not aware you got married or had children”
“I didn’t realise I had to share my private life with the world” Zane snapped “Now are you going to show us the house or not?”
“Is the other house with the same agent?” I asked Zane
“No” he mumbled
“Then let’s just go to the next one, I don’t like this one”
“Me neither” Lachlan grumbled “She is not nice”
“She wants our daddy” Isla sobbed as she latched on to Zanes leg
“No one will ever take me away from your mummy” Zane told her while glaring at the agent
“I am sorry if I gave the wrong impression” the agent apologised “Let’s just look at the house, I am sure you will love it”
“No thank you” I told her “I don’t like the feel I get from the area”
“I agree” Zane told her “Let’s go look at the other house that we both preferred” he told me as he picked up Isla and we started to walk back the way we came.
“Please” the agent called after us “I didn’t mean to upset you, just look at the house”
“Nope” I called over my shoulder “Maybe next time don’t ignore the woman and kids that come with the man”
“She didn’t just ignore you” Zane growled “The bitch tried to push you and the twins out of the way” He then carried on walking and did not look back at the woman who was now sobbing about needing the sale behind us.
“Maybe don’t be a bitch then” I called out just as we reached the corner and Zane pulled me flush against him and kissed me.
“I hate when women try to push you away” he growled between kisses “And she did it not just to you, but my kids too”
