Chapter 47 VOL II: Lies and Secrets.

VOL II: Lies and Secrets.

WRITER’S POV

They teleported to an open field full of wild flowers and green grass. The air was fresh, too. But in the middle of the field, there was a dark lake.

Razel closed the portal and walked towards the lake.

"What is this place?" Harry asked.

"I wish I could tell you, but I can't… at least not yet."

"What do you mean?" Stefano asked, his guard immediately going up.

It dropped for a second due to the beautiful scenery.

"In due time, you both will know," Razel said, plucking a pink flower and twirling it.

"Say, where is Riccardo's girlfriend?"

"She's safe. That's all you need to know," Stefano said.

"Ah... Oh, and Harry, you might wanna upgrade that radar of yours.

"Those old demons have been following you guys for a long time."

Harry's eyes widened with shock. The main point of the radar was to track their movements and ensure they wouldn't follow them.

"Why did you think I used my blood to smear the entrance? It's to prevent them from coming here."

"But they already know where we are," Stefano added.

"Exactly. Since you aren't on their side, the Golden Witch won't be their only target," Razel said, dropping the flower into the lake. It dissolved immediately.

"Well, then, see you whenever. Once I enter the pool, Riccardo will come out, healed and with his powers."

"Is... is it safe?" Harry asked.

"Please, we're demons. This is nothing." He grinned.

Harry still didn't look satisfied.

"Oh, and one last thing: I had a sort of vision when Riccardo died."

"What is it?" Stefano asked.

"It was of a baby."

"A baby?" Harry questioned.

"Yes." His eyes wandered beyond the plains as if he could see something there.

"Secrets are about to be revealed and lies exposed."

And with that, he jumped into the pool.

"Hey! You can't drop that kind of information and leave without proper explanation!"

"That fool," Stefano muttered.

"And what did he mean by secrets are about to be revealed?" Harry paced about, his hand swiftly moving as he tried to work on his radar.

Suddenly, the black lake began to create ripples, and in the next second, Riccardo stepped out.

His hair, silver on his left and dark on his right, was back and looked better than ever.

His deep blue ocean eyes were now icy blue, calm and indifferent.

The markings on his body were gone, but there was something new on his body.

A dragon tattoo, imprinted at the lower side of his chest.

His power had returned in full force, so had his hidden and suppressed ones, which had been awakened.

He exuded an air of godliness and superiority. His eyes swept across the plains, while the wind played with his hair.

"Your highness! Thank goodness you're alright!" Harry beamed excitedly.

"Whoa... Ric, you look… different. Welcome back!" Stefano grinned.

Riccardo slowly turned his head and narrowed his eyes at Stefano.

They went hard instantly.

And in one swift move, he suspended Stefano in the air, tightening his grip on his neck with an invisible force.

"Your Highness! What are you doing?"

A group of hooded figures made their way to the central marketplace of the human realm. They were invisible to the humans and had come here looking for one important person.

Their feet carried them swiftly to the house of Massimo Vercelli. As they stood at the entrance, the leader stepped forward and walked on, telling the rest to wait behind.

Massimo was in his garden, watering the plants that had started to sprout. The weather was nice, and the sun was bright; planting and harvesting made him feel closer to his wife.

Who could have thought that the great Massimo Vercelli, the Supreme High Lord and rider of the Pillar Dragon, would hide out in the human realm in the form of a commoner?

The hooded man let out an evil grin, then removed his cloak. His silver hair rustled in the wind, while one of his eyes was covered with an eye patch.

"Hello, old friend," he spoke again, taking measured strides towards Massimo, who still had his back to him. As he wanted to finally touch him, an invisible wall prevented him from doing so.

"A force field... how clever," he muttered, followed by a low chuckle.

"What do you want, Alberto?" Massimo asked, finally turning to him. He had a watering can in his hand, and his apron was stained with a little mud from all the weeding. He looked ordinary; he looked human.

"I want exactly what you want, old friend."

"And what might that be?"

"The death of Riccardo Vercelli."

Massimo finally dropped the watering can and strode towards Albert slowly.

His lips broke into a small smirk as he stood face to face with him.

"So, what you're saying is, you wish to have your nephew dead?"
