Chapter 8 Coincidences During Dinner
When he was lying on the bed, she had seen his legs many times, and she carefully wiped them every day.
She quickly closed her eyes and prayed that when he said he was going to freshen up, it would only be washing his face and nothing else. But when she opened her eyes again, his legs were right in front of her. She lifted her gaze and looked at his cold and handsome face.
Brandon's black, oriental eyes were fixed on the woman crouching in the bathtub. As he watched her stare at him with a vacant expression, his eyes seemed to crack with anger. A towering rage emanated from his exquisite eyes.
"Who let you in here?"
Victoria quickly jumped up.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I entered the wrong room." She covered her eyes with her hands.
Brandon's face darkened at the thought of being exposed. He turned around and draped a towel over himself, then grabbed her shoulder with anger as she tried to run away.
"What are you doing?"
Victoria turned around with a terrified expression.
"I told you to get out of the villa. Who allowed you to come back?"
What was Elijah thinking?
"I'll leave now. I'm sorry. I didn't see anything just now, really."
Brandon's eyes grew even darker at the mention of this. Victoria didn't dare say that she had been sleeping in her old bedroom for the past few days, probably because Elijah took pity on her and let her stay without telling Brandon. If she said anything,it would only cause trouble.
"Is there going to be a next time? If I see you again, I will definitely kill you," Brandon threatened, enunciating each word.
Victoria's heart sank with fear, and the next moment, he grabbed her by the collar and dragged her out.
Outside, Elijah's face fell as he saw the scene.
When did she wake up? This was bad. He had warned her not to go out and be seen by the master.
Victoria was thrown out of the door, looking at the closed gate, feeling frustrated. Her things were still in his villa, but he was angry now and would not give them to her.
Elijah approached Brandon, "Sir..."
Brandon looked at Elijah deeply, knowing who had let her in, but did not blame him. He just thought of himself standing in front of her just now...
His face was getting hot, and he was angry, so he turned around and closed the door.
Outside, Victoria was still grumbling when she received a message from Heidi.
"Darling, I'm back. Where are you? I'm coming to find you!"
Heidi had really come back.
Victoria was overjoyed and hurried to the airport.
Heidi, wearing the latest wide-leg flared pants and a short top that revealed her flat, sexy stomach, and sunglasses, pushed her luggage out from inside. She saw the thin and weak Victoria outside and hugged her tightly.
"Baby, I'm finally back. My poor Victoria, how did you get so thin?"
The two held each other tightly.
Victoria felt much more at ease now that she had a place to stay. She needed to rent a house and find a job to support herself before she could think about the future.
"The despicable Griffin Family, how could they treat you like this? Don't worry, I'll find a way to avenge you."
Heidi said indignantly. "Why don't you come stay at my place for now?"
"You live with your parents, it's not a long-term solution. I still need to rent a place for myself."
"Oh, I have a cousin who has a house for rent. He can give you a discount on the rent. He's rich, so he doesn't care about the money. As for work..."
Victoria felt touched by Heidi's kindness. "I've sent out a few resumes, but I don't know if I'll get any responses."
"You're so talented, how could you not get any responses?"
"I have a lot of designs at home that I haven't shown anyone. And some of the ones I did at the Duncan Family's villa...I didn't dare to show them."
"Erica took the designs from the competition, so without the award certificate, they won't believe me even if I say anything. Even if someone is willing to hire me, it'll probably just be a small assistant role. But it's okay, starting from scratch is also good."
The job of an architect is very complicated. For a recent graduate, it is unlikely that they would be able to immediately take on the role of a designer in an ordinary company. They would usually start as an assistant. However, she had initially thought that she could work for the Griffin Family's company, and now there was some disappointment.
"Okay, everything will be okay. Leaving the Griffin Family is also a new beginning. Let's go and eat something delicious," Heidi said, not wanting her to dwell on the negative.
Heidi took her to a western restaurant where they used to eat together frequently.
Since Erica had returned, she had reduced her pocket money and rarely came here.
However, as soon as they entered, they heard some commotion outside.
"Wow, this bag is the latest style. Diana, have you struck it rich?"
"It's nothing. My boyfriend bought it for me."
Diana brought a few people to eat with her. She was surrounded by them, dressed in a luxurious manner, wearing designer clothes that she could never have afforded before, and had a delicate makeup look on her face, looking very pleased with herself.
"Wow, your boyfriend is so rich."
"I envy you so much. What kind of boyfriend is he?"
Heidi and Victoria looked at each other, surprised at how much she had changed in such a short amount of time.
At the same time, someone also noticed Victoria.
"Victoria, Heidi? What are you doing here?" The newcomers were Bella, Cora, Ellie, who used to play with Victoria a lot in the past. When they saw the two, Diana's face changed.
"How come we meet them here?"
