Chapter 9 Is Diana Boyfriend Brandon?
Heidi had heard from Victoria about Diana cutting ties with her, and now she was furious. "Who does she think she is? Strutting around like a peacock when she's just a chicken with a few feathers stuck on, thinking she's a phoenix."
Diana's face darkened. She had been living in the mansion for the past few days, with Brandon footing all her bills. She had felt like she was on top of the world, like a phoenix soaring to new heights. She used to come to this restaurant with Victoria and the others, feeling envious of their wealth. So, when she finally had money, the first thing she wanted to do was bring her own group of people here.
But she never expected to run into them here.
Bella chimed in, "Hey Victoria, weren't you kicked out of the Griffin Family? Hilarious.
Heidi, you do know that she's not really a Griffin heiress, right? It was all an act."
"Stop talking nonsense!" Heidi snapped. "Victoria used to be so good to you guys, especially you, Diana. She wouldn't even hesitate to share her pocket money with you. And now that you have a rich boyfriend, you're badmouthing her behind her back? Was everything Victoria did for you just a waste?"
Diana's face flushed with anger as she listened to Heidi's words.
"Enough already! You're just mocking me for not having money before. I know that you all used me as a prop to show off before. And now that I have money, you're not happy? Heidi, you're the most hypocritical person I know."
"Haha, you look pretty good now that you've made money by relying on a man," Heidi said angrily.
Diana raised her head and replied, "At least it's better than Victoria, who married an old man for money. You must have heard the rumors in our circle. And it's even more ridiculous that you look so pathetic now. I bet the old man got tired of you after a few times and kicked you out."She then turned to the waiter behind her and said, "Hey, I want to recharge my card with 10,000 yuan here."
The waiter was overjoyed and said, "Really? You look like a good person."
"But I want you to kick this woman out because she's dirty," Diana pointed at Victoria with her finger, looking down on her with contempt. Diana had inquired about Victoria at the villa and everyone said that Brandon had kicked her out. So why should she be afraid of Victoria?
Victoria didn't expect Diana to say such things about her. Their past friendship now seemed like a joke.
"Diana," Victoria looked at her and said, "since you said I'm dirty, please return the dress you borrowed from me for your birthday party, the used phone and computer you took from me because you couldn't afford them, and the shoes you took from my house last month because you thought they looked good on you."
Because they had known each other for a long time, everyone had seen Diana wear and use those things before. Now, they were all exposed by Victoria's words - all of those things were actually given to Diana by Victoria.
For someone like Diana who cared about her reputation, this was like a direct slap in the face, making her feel uncomfortable.
Diana was furious. "Of course, you used to brag about how amazing those things were. Now I know they're just junk. If you like them so much, I'll give them all to you. With your current poor appearance, selling them will only get you a few extra meals."
"Yes, and you should also give me back the bracelet on your wrist," Victoria said, as she grabbed Diana's wrist.
The bracelet was the one Brandon had given her as a token of gratitude for saving his life. Although it was also a worthless gift from Victoria, Diana had relied on it to become Brandon's savior. She wanted to wear it at all times so that Brandon could remember her kindness. How could she give it back to Victoria?
Diana struggled to break free, but the bracelet broke and cut her wrist.
Enraged, Diana shouted, "What are you all waiting for? Get this poor beggar out of here! Don't you want the ten thousand dollar card anymore?"
The nearby waiter, seeing the situation, came over to kick the person out for the sake of the ten thousand dollar card.
Heidi was infuriated and grabbed Diana's hair, tearing it out. "You hit me, you hit me!" Several girls started fighting, and someone called the police. Soon, they were all taken to the police station.
Victoria looked at Heidi helplessly. "It's all my fault. I got you involved."
"No, it's not. That girl's face was disgusting. I regret not tearing her mouth apart," Heidi replied, twisting her wrist until it cracked. Diana, with a bruised face, cried and pointed at the two of them. "You two are finished. My boyfriend is a powerful man. I'll make sure you both rot in jail for the rest of your lives."
Heidi sneered, "I'm so scared. Where's your boyfriend? Call him over. I'm curious who would be blind enough to choose you." Diana was so angry that she called the head of the Duncan Family. The police, however, were used to dealing with such incidents and didn't bother with them. They were all locked up for the night, and by the next day, they had all given in. However, over there.
Elijah rushed into Brandon's study and reported, "Sir, Miss Evans was beaten while eating outside."
Miss Evans?
Brandon had almost forgotten about the person staying at the Ocean View Villa, but now he remembered.
"Where is she now?"
"At the police station."
After waiting for half an hour at the police station without any sign of help, Heidi spoke up again, "Where is your boyfriend? Is he still in the womb?"
"When help arrives, you'll regret saying that," Diana replied with an anxious look on her face.
Victoria looked at her and said, "Forget about her, Heidi. Someone who likes second-hand goods probably has a second-hand man. There's nothing to admire."
As soon as Brandon entered the room, he heard Victoria's words.
He stopped in his tracks and looked at the people inside, his narrow eyes flashing with a deep light.
She was the one who beat Diana?
"What second-hand goods? Are you talking about me?"
Hearing the familiar voice, Victoria's heart skipped a beat. She looked up and saw that it was indeed Brandon who had appeared here. At this moment, the entire police station was in turmoil and fear because of the sudden appearance of this prodigy. Victoria's heart sank.
"How could it be? Does that mean Diana's boyfriend is actually Brandon?"
