Chapter 160 Solutions
Chapter 160 Solutions
Sade
She is asleep when I get back to the room with a bag of food. She stirs when she hears me, so she must not have been sleeping very deeply. She rolls over and smiles just a bit when she sees me, and my chest seizes with that look on her face. I have been wanting this look from her for so long.
I smile back, my heart pounding in my chest, “Hey there. I come bearing greasy food.” She chuckles.
I get out the burgers and get her set up with one on the tray for her bed. I get her all of the food I brought her. “God, that smells so good.”
I smile as she says that, as I haven’t heard that from her in quite a while either. She takes a bite and chews, and she groans when she does. My body tightens up, and I have to command my dick to behave as she is nowhere ready for seeing me with a fucking hard-on for her.
When her face goes a bit grey, I get worried, “What’s wrong?”
“It just landed kind of wrong on my stomach. Maybe because it has been a while since I have eaten. I guess I’ll have to be careful I don’t make myself sick or something.”
I sit down in the chair and contemplate what I need to tell her and if this is the right time or not. But looking at her face and knowing that her stomach could be upset because of the pregnancy, she probably needs to know about that.
I take a deep breath and let it out. She homes in on me as she hears it, and she tilts her head like she’s trying to figure out why I did that. “There is something I need to let you know. I have a feeling it is going to freak you out a bit considering all that you don’t remember. However, I want you to know that it is a good thing, and we are happy, and I am ecstatic, and all of that.”
She pauses and just watches me with wide eyes. “Another reason why that might have hit you a bit hard, and I’m sorry I didn’t think of it beforehand, but you are pregnant, sweetheart. You are two months pregnant with my baby. This is actually our third, and we have two little ones at home. That is one of the things I was planning on showing you tomorrow, but in light of this whole food thing, I decided it would probably be best if I told you now.”
She freezes, and just sits there blinking at me. Then she takes a deep breath, and I can tell she is starting to panic a bit. I pull the tray away and sit down on the bed beside her, facing her. I take both of her hands in mine and try to get her to look at me.
“I know you don’t remember, but I love you. I love our family. Our children adore you so much. This is a good and happy thing. One of the things that has always made you the happiest was being a mom, and you are a damn good one. So, don’t stress over it right now, please. Just try and breathe and relax and know that we will deal with whatever we need to as we need to. You are not alone; I am right here with you all the way.”
She just sits there for a moment, with her head bent, looking at the bed. She doesn’t pull her hands from mine, though, which to me is a miracle. Then she looks up at me with eyes full of tears, as a few escape down her cheeks. Then she nods, and to my utter shock and complete delight, she leans her head forward and rests it against my chest. I lean down and kiss her head, loving this.
Eventually she pulls back and drops my hands. I move back to the chair, and she pulls the tray back. She nibbles on the food, seeming to do better with small bites. She also sips on the soda. So, I find us a show that she says looks interesting, and we watch it while we both eat and just relax. My heart is happier than it has been in a very long time. I can’t help but hope this is a sign of the way things will go for us.
My phone vibrates in my pocket, and I look over to see Rain has fallen asleep. I clear off the remaining food from the tray and throw everything away. Then I move the tray, make sure she is covered, then kiss her cheek. Then I sit back down and check my phone, seeing I have a text message.
Tomilino: I am checking to see if there are any updates about Rain.
Sade: Yes, she is awake, but she has amnesia. The doctor is running tests, and we are taking things slowly to see what might or might not happen.
Tomilino: Keep me informed and let me know if you need assistance. I will inform her family here. The funeral is tomorrow, so I might be out of touch, but I will check messages in case you need to reach me.
Sade: I understand, and I will do so.
I put my phone back in my pocket. I need to let them know that I am rewriting some things. If she ever asks them, they will need to know what to say. They all know how horrid the last while has been, so I have no doubt they will back me up if this solves the problems we were already attempting to solve.
Now, I just have to take this one step at a time and see what happens with Rain. Will she get any of her memories back? If she does, it will affect what I am telling her and how she responds to me. I find myself hoping she doesn’t get it back and I am able to help her settle into our life and be happy finally. We have a family, two kids and a third on the way who will benefit from her being happy and present again. I will finally be able to have her back as well, and the way I always dreamed we would end up being.
Now, I just have to see if that ends up being reality, or just a dream that I have. Only time will honestly be able to tell.
