Chapter 159 Chapter 160

Chapter 159 Chapter 160

It didn't take long before Adrian got to the address given to him by Leroy. On getting to the address, the first thing he did was to check the address given to him by Mara and the one given to him by Leroy, and to his greatest surprise, the two addresses led to the same place, which was the building he was in front of.

On seeing this, he started having second thoughts about going inside, but remembering that Amelia was inside, Adrian immediately got down from the car and made his way towards the entrance of the building.

Getting to the entrance, he immediately kicked away the closed door and walked inside and began searching for Amelia in every room he could find while also being on his guard in case someone suddenly attacked him.

After searching for some minutes, he finally saw one of the rooms that was slightly open, and with that, he immediately barged inside only to see Amelia lying unconsciously on the ground.

Seeing her, Adrian ran towards her and checked her pulse to see if she was still breathing, and fortunately, she was still breathing.

Seeing that she was still breathing, Adrian tried carrying her to leave, but immediately his phone started ringing, and without hesitating he brought the phone from his pocket and checked the caller ID, which was the unknown number Mara had been using to call him. Without hesitating, he picked up the call and placed the phone on his ear.

"Adrian, you are late," Mara said to Adrian as he picked up the call.

"Mara, what the hell did you do to her?" Adrian thundered angrily at Mara through the phone.

"Nothing, we just had a little discussion," Mara said to Adrian through the phone.

"You just had a little discussion, so why the hell is she unconscious?" Adrian thundered angrily at Mara.

"Well, I don't know; maybe she passed out because of how frightened she was. Take her to the hospital; she will be okay. After all, it's not my fault that you didn't show up earlier to take her," Mara said to Adrian through the phone.

"Mara, you better pray that nothing happens to her; if not, you won't like what I will do next," Adrian threatened Mara with an angry tone.

"Enough with the threats, Adrian. You should be thankful that I didn't do to her any of the things that I had in mind before getting her kidnapped. You killed the man that I loved the most, and I could have also killed the woman that you loved the most, but I decided not to do it, so instead of throwing empty threats at me, I think you should take her to the hospital before it's too late," Mara said to Adrian through the phone.

"Well, I will, but before that, do you mind telling me why you abducted her in the first place? Is this another one of your games?" Adrian asked Mara with an inquisitive tone.

"Well, I wanted to settle the score between us. You killed the person that I loved the most, and I just couldn't let it slide, so I decided to make you know how it feels to lose the person you love the most, even if it's for a little while. Now that the score has been settled between both of us, I hope that we can now stay off each other's path. Take your woman to the hospital, Adrian, and you don't have to worry about me anymore. I will never come after you guys again. I give you my word, and I hope you guys never come after me or anyone close to me again. "Goodbye, Adrian," Mara said to Adrian before hanging up the call.

"Crazy bitch," Adrian muttered before carrying Amelia and rushing out of the building, as he was now sure that there was no danger lurking around.

Coming out of the building with the unconscious Amelia, Adrian immediately opened the door of the passenger seat of the car and sat Amelia down, and with that, he too got into the car and was about to drive off when he suddenly remembered something.

Switching off the car, he immediately got down and rushed towards the trunk of the car and opened it and pulled Leroy out before closing the trunk back, and with that, he made to re-enter the car but was stopped by Leroy's voice.

"Are you just going to leave me here, and where's Mara?" Leroy asked Adrian.

"Ask me one more question, and I swear by the moon goddess that I will throw you back into that trunk, and the next place you will wake up is my pack's dungeon," Adrian said to Leroy before getting into the car and igniting it and zooming off, and just as Adrian was driving the car, he kept on checking Amelia's pulse to be sure that she was still breathing.

After some minutes Adrian took his phone and placed a call to across Erica, who picked up after some minutes of ringing.

"Hello, your Highness, did you find her?" Erica asked Amelia after picking up the call.

"Yes, I did; I'm already on my way back.

"Ooh, thank goodness. How long will it take you to get back?" Erica asked Adrian through the phone.

"Well, I think in less than thirty minutes, but I won't be coming back home directly; I will be taking her directly to the hospital because she's unconscious. I was even wondering if you can go to the hospital and be the one to treat her?" Adrian asked Erica through the phone.

"Yes, of course I can do that. I haven't even been able to get any sleep all this while, so I might as well keep myself busy by treating her," Erica said to Adrian through the phone.

"Okay then, I will send you the address of the hospital so that you can go there and wait for me; I will be there very soon," Adrian said to Erica through the phone.

"Okay then, I will be expecting it," Erica said to Adrian before hanging up.

Once the call was ended, Adrian quickly sent the address of the hospital to Erica so that she could be at the hospital before he arrived with Amelia.

After sending the address to Erica, Adrian was about to drop the phone in order to focus on the car's steering wheel, but immediately he remembered something. Without hesitating, he quickly placed a call to someone who picked up after some minutes of ringing.

"Hello Donald, are you still there with him?" Adrian asked after the call was picked up.

"Hi, your Highness, I'm still here with him, even if he won't stop talking. I had to tie his mouth so that he can shut up a little bit. By the way, were you able to find her?" Donald asked Adrian through the phone.

"Yes, I have found her, so you can let him go, but before freeing him, tell him not to forget our agreement," Adrian said to Donald, who he had asked to keep an eye on Tony while he was away searching for Amelia.

"Okay, your Highness, I will do that," Donald said to Adrian before hanging up the call, and with that Adrian dropped the phone in order to focus on the car's steering wheel.

In less than thirty minutes, Adrian has already gotten to the hospital, just as he had told Erica. Without hesitating, some of the nurses came out with a stretcher and wheeled Amelia into the hospital, and on getting inside, Adrian informed the doctors who were around that Erica was a doctor and that she was the one who was going to treat Amelia.

While Erica was treating Amelia, Adrian went to his office and sat down, waiting for Erica to finish so that he could know Amelia's condition and whether she was going to spend the night at the hospital or whether he would take her back home before also heading back home to get some rest.

As Adrian was sitting in his office trying to get some rest, his phone suddenly started ringing, and with that, he brought out the phone from his pocket and checked the caller ID before picking up.

"Hey Liam, how are you doing?" Adrian asked him after picking up the call.

"I'm doing good, your Highness. Sorry for not picking up your call earlier; I was in a meeting with the new pack elders that you asked me to select," Liam said to Adrian through the phone.

"Okay, Liam, I understand. Actually, the reason why I called you earlier is to tell you that I will be coming back to the Pack first thing tomorrow morning," Adrian said to Liam through the phone.

"Really?" Liam asked Adrian through the phone.

"Yes, Liam, have a good night," Adrian said to him before hanging up the call, and with that he sighed heavily before dropping his phone on his desk.

"Adrian, are you sure about this?" Max, Adrian's wolf, asked after he hung up the call.

"Yes, Max, I'm very sure. I think my mission here is already accomplished," Adrian said to his wolf before leaning back on his chair and closing his eyes as he tried to get some rest.
