Chapter 158 Chapter 159
Chapter 158 Chapter 159
It's been over thirty minutes since Mara left Leroy's apartment for the place where his men had kept Amelia after abducting her, and before she left, Leroy had made sure to give her everything that she needed so that she would never come back to the mansion again, and that included where to stay and enough money to start something for herself.
Meanwhile, Leroy could be seen sitting alone in his sitting room while sipping the alcohol he was holding and at the same time glancing at his phone, as he was expecting a phone call.
After what seemed like an eternity, the call that he was expecting finally popped into his phone, and with that, he immediately grabbed the phone and picked up the call.
"Hello, did you find him?" Leroy asked after picking up the call.
"No boss, I even went to the hospital where he works, and they said that he's not around." The caller, who was one of Leroy's men, said to him.
"What the hell? Is that son of a bitch trying to hide from me or what?" Leroy grumbled angrily before gulping down the recipient in the glass he was holding.
"Have you tried tracking his phone?" Leroy asked the caller through the phone.
"Yes, boss, but we can't locate it; it has been switched off for a very long time now," the caller said to Leroy, who sighed heavily.
"Well, it better be that he's hiding from me or something like that, but if it turns out that he blew his cover and Adrian caught him, I will kill him myself," Leroy grumbled angrily.
"Keep on searching for him, and don't stop until you find him," Leroy said to the caller.
"Okay boss," the caller said to Leroy before hanging up the call.
Once the call was hung up, Leroy sighed heavily before pouring himself another drink, and just as he was about to start drinking it, he started hearing gunshots from outside.
"What the fuck?" He muttered in shock as he sprang up from the sofa where he was sitting and brought out his gun, and at the same time, the electricity supply of the whole building shut down, sending the whole building into darkness.
"What the hell is going on?" Leroy muttered with a frightened tone before quickly taking his phone and placing a call to one of his men to ask him what was going on, but after some minutes of ringing, he got no reply.
Without hesitating, he placed a call to another person who picked up immediately.
"Theo, what the hell is going on out there?" Leroy asked him once the call connected.
"Boss, we are under attack. A wolf just broke into the mansion, and he's busy slaughtering everyone without mercy, and our weapons aren't having any effect on him." The person said to Leroy, and at the same time his painful scream erupted through the phone, followed by some gunshots, and without thinking twice, Leroy immediately knew that he had been killed by the wolf, who he knew was none other than Adrian.
Swallowing hard, he ran to one of the shelves in the sitting room and took a packet that contained different types of bullets; selecting the one that he wanted, he immediately removed the previous bullets in the gun and replaced them with the new ones he had just taken.
Just as he finished loading the gun, Leroy noticed that the gunshots and the loud screams from his men had died down, meaning that Adrian had struck down all his men in less than ten minutes.
Realising this, he swallowed hard, and at the same time, he felt a presence behind him. Without hesitating, he quickly turned around, only to see Adrian standing at the entrance of the sitting room while smirking like a psychopath, and with the stain of blood that covered both his face and his whole body, one would easily think that he is the devil himself.
Seeing him, Leroy almost passed out because of how frightened he was. Throughout his entire life, this was the first time someone's sight was scaring the shit out of him in such a manner. If someone had told him in the past that someone's sight would one day scare him like that, he would have never believed it.
It literally took him some minutes before he finally regained himself, and once he did, he immediately pointed his gun at Adrian.
"Don't come closer, or I swear I will shoot, and mind you that the bullets in this gun are poisoned," Leroy said to Adrian, who smirked and began walking towards him.
"The same story over and over again. Didn't your cousin tell you that this was the same thing he told me before I killed him?" Adrian asked Leroy while walking towards him.
"Ooh, he didn't because he never got the chance to come back and tell you," Adrian said to Leroy while still walking towards him.
"I said don't come closer," Leroy said to Adrian, who was still approaching him, and seeing that Adrian had no plan of stopping, Leroy shot him twice in the chest, causing him to halt in his step.
Lowering his head, Adrian looked at the place where Leroy had shot him, and with that, he slowly lifted his head and looked at Leroy with his eyes blazing with anger. On seeing the anger written on Adrian's face, Leroy swallowed hard and made to shoot Adrian again but immediately rushed towards him, giving him a hard punch that sent him crashing on the wall.
Before he could even think of standing, Adrian had got to where he was, and making use of just one hand, Adrian lifted him and threw him towards the centre table, and immediately it shattered into many pieces with the bottle of alcohol that was on it.
Without even waiting for him to get back up, Adrian rushed towards him and lifted him before slamming him aggressively on the wall.
"Where is she?" Adrian asked him while peering into his eyeballs.
"Go to hell," Leroy said to Adrian while groaning in pain.
"Ooh, that's where I'm about to send you right now," Adrian said to Leroy as he immediately brought out his claws and made to strike Leroy but was immediately stopped by his frightened voice.
"Wait, please wait, I will tell you where she is; just don't kill me," Leroy said to Adrian while panting heavily as Adrian was gripping his neck.
"Ooh, I thought you already had a dead wish," Adrian said to him before releasing him, allowing him to fall to the ground, and with that, he held his neck while gasping for air.
"Hurry up and tell me where she is, young man; I don't have the whole night," Adrian said to Leroy, not minding how injured he was and also the fact that he wasn't breathing well.
"Can't you wait a little bit, or aren't you seeing that I'm finding it difficult to breathe?" Leroy asked Adrian, who scoffed at him.
"Well, I think the fact that you are breathing is the main problem here. What if I stop you from breathing permanently?" Adrian asked Leroy, who glared angrily at him before giving him the address of the place where his men had taken Amelia.
After receiving the address from Leroy, Adrian made to walk away but was immediately stopped by Leroy's voice.
"I hope Mara hasn't killed her yet, because with the kind of hatred she harbours towards you, I'm sure Amelia is already dead," Leroy said to Adrian, who smiled before rushing towards Leroy and knocking him out, and with that he carried him and placed him on his shoulder before making his way to the exit.
Getting outside where his car was parked, he opened the trunk of his car and threw Leroy inside before closing it, and with that, he got into the car and drove away.
As Adrian was on his way to the address given to him by Leroy, his phone suddenly started ringing, and without hesitating, he pulled out the phone from his pocket and checked the caller ID, which was an unknown number once again, and without hesitating, he picked up the call.
"Hello Adrian, where the hell are you? If you don't show up in less than fifteen minutes, then I won't have any other choice than to kill your lovely Amelia, and when you get here, the only thing you will find is her dead body," Mara's voice sounded through the phone after Adrian picked up the call.
"Mara, have a little patience; I'm already on my way. I had something to take care of before coming. Just make sure you don't lay your filthy hands on her before I arrive," Adrian said to Mara through the phone.
'And what is it you had to take care of that is more important than Amelia?' Mara asked Adrian through the phone.
"Well, you will find out when I get there," Adrian said to Mara before hanging up the call and tossing the phone away in order to focus on the car's steering wheel.
