Chapter 142 Chapter 143
"Have you seen the picture I sent you?" Leroy asked Tony after sending him the picture.
"Yes, I have seen it, and it's the guy in question," Tony said to Leroy.
"Okay, now that's a problem," Leroy said to Tony through the phone.

"Boss, please, what do you mean by 'that's a problem'?" Tony's panicked voice sounded through the phone.
"Well, the guy in that picture is the Alpha of Wolfenwood Pack, one of the strongest packs in history, so to rule such a pack is no joke; that's why he has a cold and deadly aura circulating around him, just as you said. About his relationship with Amelia, you don't have to worry about that. They are no longer together; he broke up with her a very long time ago, and now he's trying to win her back, and from what I know, she doesn't want him anymore. That's why she left the former city where she was working and came to the new city where she is right now," Leroy said to Tony through the phone.
"Okay boss, but are you sure that I have nothing to worry about? If not, the guy threatened to get rid of me if he saw me near Amelia again," Tony said to Leroy with a frightened tone.
"Come on, Tony, why do you always react like a woman? He said that he's going to kill you, but has he killed you already or made any attempt to, or have you forgotten that you are in the human world and not in his pack where he can do whatever he wants?" Leroy asked Tony.
"Yes, I know, boss, but still..."
"But still what, Tony?" Leroy interrupted Tony, not allowing him to finish whatever he wanted to say.
" If you see that you can't continue this task anymore because of Adrian, you might as well give up. I won't be angry, but don't forget to send me back the advance payment I sent to you before you accepted to take the task so that I can send it to someone else who is ready to take the task," Leroy said to Tony through the phone.
"No boss, I'm not planning to give up; I will continue with the task," Tony said to Leroy, who smiled inwardly, as he already knew that Tony would have already spent the advance payment he gave to him, so there's no way on earth he was going to accept giving up on the task because he can't pay him back the money.
"Guess we are good now, right?" Leroy asked Tony.
"Yes boss, we are good," Tony said to Leroy in reply.
"That's good; let me know when you need something else," Leroy said to him.
"Okay, boss," Tony said to Leroy, who was hanging up.
"What's the issue?" Mara, who had stood up from the ground where she was sitting, asked Leroy.
"Well, Tony just told me that Adrian came in search of his woman and caught him with her, so he threatened to get rid of him if he ever sees him again with her," Leroy said to Mara.
"Ooh, that's really bad for him. That Adrian is really something else. But I thought I heard you telling Tony about who Adrian was and afterwards telling him that he has nothing to worry about. Why the hell did you do that?" Mara asked Leroy.
"Well, I had to tell him what he's dealing with. If you are going to a war, you should at least know how strong the people you are going to fight against are," Leroy said to Mara.
"Leroy, Tony isn't going to a war, and what he's doing has nothing to do with a war," Mara said to Leroy.
"And who said what he's doing has nothing to do with war? Asking him to keep an eye on the woman of someone like Adrian is the same thing as asking for a war. Fortunately, I'm not like you, who thinks that giving up is only for the weak, so I gave him the chance to give up if he wants, but he said no, so I guess he can take care of whatever is coming his way," Leroy said to Mara, who sighed heavily.
"So how much longer is it going to take before we take care of everything?" Mara asked Leroy.
"A little while longer, give Tony some time to earn her trust, and then we strike," Leroy said to Mara, who nodded in reply.
"Well, I hope that Adrian doesn't get rid of him even before he does that," Mara said to Leroy.
"Well, I hope so too," Leroy said to Mara before standing up and making his way to the exit.
Meanwhile, the following morning, Amelia had just gotten to the hospital where she works, and given that she didn't wake up earlier like other days, she came a little bit late.
"Good morning, ma'am, you came a little bit late today," one of the receptionists said to Amelia as she made her way into the hospital.
"Yeah, I overslept a little bit. Hope I didn't miss anything?" Amelia asked the receptionist.
"Well, you did, and it was something very important," the receptionist said to Amelia.
"What was it?" Amelia asked her.
"Well, someone else bought this hospital from the former owners, and the new owner came this morning and asked to see all the doctors and nurses, but you weren't around," the receptionist said to Amelia.
"Ooh no, this doesn't sound good, and where is the new owner right now?" Amelia asked her.
"Well, he's in his office, and he asked me to let him know when you arrive," the receptionist said to Amelia, who sighed heavily.
"Okay, thanks so much; I will go and see him right now. But tell me, do you think that he's harsh or something like that?" Amelia asked the receptionist.
"Yes, I think he's harsh," the receptionist said to Amelia in a whisper.
"He almost fired Doctor Tony this morning," the receptionist said to Amelia, who swallowed hard as she knew that she was in a big trouble
