Kristen's pov.
“Dominic” I muttered as he handed me my purse.
“Your purse,” he said with a smile, revealing a complete set of white teeth, his cologne scent filled the air, like a ripe lily flower.
“Yes,” I sheepishly collected the purse as I watched him walk away. I felt a strange sense that overcame me as it compelled me to follow him.
“Lidya” I tapped her repeatedly.
“What?” She replied as her brows furrowed in curiosity.
“I just saw someone”. I revealed, my lips parted to a bright smile.
“Who is that?” Lidya frowned as she glanced around. “Was he dangerous?” She turned back to me.
“Not really, he bumped into me…” she cut me off.
“He did?” Her mouth fell open in fear. “Let me see did he hurt you?” She asked as she carefully examined me.
“He did not” I reassured her.
“Then what happened?” She frowned.
“He was so cute” I smiled as I could feel the fluttering butterfly feeling in my belly.
“Uhh, but I don't trust you” she gave me a nudge.
“What are you talking about?”
“You don't know who hot guys look like, don't worry when we get inside the club, I will introduce you to my friends” she revealed.
I nodded quietly as we waited in line, glancing constantly for the hot guy.
“Oh, we are in” one of Lidya's friends broke me off from my search.
We walked into the club. The sound loudly plays as people swing their bodies to the beats. The whole place reeked with the smell of alcohol and cigarettes.
“Hey Lidya, gonna go get some drink, wanna come?” One of Lidya's friends shouted as she turned to her.
“Na”. She refused. “I want to dance my soul out” she revealed as she swung her hips to the dance floor, the rest of her friends followed her.
“What about you?” She turned to me.
“What did you say?” I shouted as I could not hear her due to the loud music playing.
“Just follow me” she rolled her eyes as she dragged me to the counter. “The music is too loud” she laughed.
I nodded quietly.
“Gosh I hate this place” she frowned as she called the bartender.
“Anything for the ladies?” He smiled as he walked closer.
“A glass of you know the hot stuff” she shrugged.
“And you?” He turned to me, his brows furrowed in curiosity.
“Uhm” I muttered as I scratched my hair, I had never been to a club and I had never had any alcohol, I forced a smile realizing it was better to move along.
“Same” I replied.
He nodded in approval as he walked away.
“So how do you know Lidya?” She turned to me, leaning on the table, her face flickered to curiosity as she stared at my eyes.
“Uh, we grew up together” I replied darting my eyes to the other direction.
“You do not look like someone who hangs around Lidya” she scoffed as she threw her head away.
“You don't sound like you really want her presence”
“It's not like I don't want her around but you have to be sincere, being with Lidya, you just keep making bad decisions and you never stop…” she paused as her mouth closed immediately, she was hiding something.
“What's your name?” I asked leaning closer.
“Mandy” she replied.
“Love your name” I smiled. “I am starting to feel like you are right” I revealed.
“What did you do?” She turned back to me. “Did you do something that you regret?” Her face was etched with curiosity.
“Not really but I had this annoying brother that likes telling me what not to do, Lidya convinced me to come with her against his wish and I did, but now, I kinda feel bad about it” I explained.
“Like I said you keep making them” she scoffed as the bartender brought our drinks.
“Sorry for taking too long” he bowed as he placed our drinks in front of us.
“Mandy” Lidya called as she danced towards us. “What are you guys talking about when you are supposed to be rocking some boys”. She laughed as she gulped down my drink.
“Nothing much” I shrugged.
“Who is that?” Mindy said as she pointed in a direction. “He has been staring at this place since”. She revealed.
I looked back, locking eyes with Dominic.
“Hey,” he waved at me.
“Hi,” I waved back, turning my head back nervously.
“Who is that cutie?” Lidya smiled as she gave me a nudge.
“That's the guy I met outside” I explained.
“Oh my God, that man isn't cute he is hot” she laughed.
Mindy nodded her head quietly, her face etched with disagreement.
My lips curled into a faint smile, I could feel my cheeks burning in blushes, I gently moved my hair behind my ear.
“What are you doing?” Lidya scoffed. “He wouldn't not notice someone like you” She rolled her eyes.
“What do you mean by that?” Mindy snapped. “Do you think he would be interested in you?” She scoffed as she gulped down her drink.
“Don't tell me you are still jealous about what I did last time” she scoffed.
“Huh, I am sorry, I didn't realize that you were a prick” she snapped calling the bartender.
“Well, I would become a bigger prick because he is coming this way” she hissed as she stood beside me.
“Hey,” Dominic called as he walked closer.
“Hi…” Lidya interrupted as she stood in front.
“Hey,” she smiled as she gestured him for a handshake. “Love the scent”.
“It's my cologne” he replied.
“I love it” she laughed sheepishly as she placed her hand on him. “Wanna dance?” She asked.
“Yeah,” he nodded as he turned to me. “I was hoping you would want to dance”
“Me” My mouth fell open in shock. “I don't know”.
“What do you mean?” Lidya frowned as she bumped into him walking away angrily.
“Ahhh” Mindy laughed after her and she raised her empty glass. “This day gets better”. She scoffed.
Dominic kept on staring at me waiting for an answer, my cheeks turned red as I stared at him. “I would love that”. I smiled as I got up.
“No you won't”. A voice stopped me, I turned back immediately, and my face flashed with shock. “Noah” I muttered.
“Who are you?” Dominic hissed as he stepped forward, glaring at him.
“There is no need to cause any trouble Noah” I warned him. “Everything is under control”.
“That is not what I see” he frowned as he dragged me. “We are leaving, right now” he commanded as he dragged me out.
“Let go of my hand” I snapped as soon as we got out of the club. “Let go” I shouted jerking my hand away.
“What were you thinking coming here?” He shouted anger etched on his face as he clenched his fist.
“Did you follow me?” I demanded, clutching my hands on my chest. My face flickering to rage.
“Kristen, this place is not for you”. He explained as he tried grabbing my hand.
“Don't touch me”. I warned, my voice laced with disdain. “You have no right to tell me what place is right or wrong for me” I hissed.
“I don't” he nodded his head in agreement. “But right now I do have the right to tell you that you do not belong here”.
“What's your problem?” I shot. “I am not leaving”.
“That wasn't a plead or a request” he barked as he grabbed my hand. “That is a command,” he said pulling me closer, his voice laced with authority as his face contorted with seriousness.
“That is enough” a voice warned as it approached us. “Let the girl go”.
“Look dude, I don't know who you are but keep your knuckles out of this”. He warned locking eyes with the stranger.
“I would listen to him if I were you” another voice added. It was Dominic.
“Both of you should go fuck yourself” Noah scoffed. “But I advise you to stay away from her”.
“Jake and I would have loved to do that, but it seems you are bothering…” he paused as he locked eyes with me. “This beautiful lady”.
My cheeks turned red suddenly as I flickered my eyes past him nervously.
“This beautiful lady is my sister” Noah chuckled. “You have no right to tell me what to do with my sister, do you?” He eyed me as he released my hand.
“Do you know him?” Dominic turned to me.
“Yes” I nodded quietly, but I wished I had denied knowing him at that point.
“What proof do you need again?” Noah scoffed as he nodded his head in disbelief. “Now can we go?” He frowned as he grabbed my hand.
“Let go of my hand” I shouted as I tried freeing myself from his grip. “You are hurting me” I cried.
“That's enough dude” Dominic warned, his was brimming with hostility. “I don't want to repeat myself”. He threatened, his voice laced with venom.
“Stop me if you can” Noah hissed as he tried to drag me away but Dominic jerked his head away.
“You should leave before things get ugly” Dominic warned.
“I guess I was too quiet”. Noah frowned as he threw a punch at him but Dominic had quick reflexes, making him dodge the blow in time.
Dominic angrily punched Noah, he fell unconscious with a single blow. My mouth fell open.
“Noah…”
