Chapter 335 Chapter 335 Putting a green hat on Caelan Cooper.

Eileen Stevens snapped back to reality, rubbing her chin and saying irritably, "What do you want me to find you for?"
Niles Hawke replied, "Wait a moment, Lynx Black will be here soon."
Just as he finished speaking, Lynx Black pushed the door open, greeting them with a smile, "Good morning, good morning!"
He noticed the buns on the table and rushed over to grab one, exclaiming, "I worked all night and I'm starving!"
Niles Hawke pinched the bridge of his nose and asked, "So, what’s the result?"
Lynx Black beamed like a blooming flower, "Just look at my face, you can tell the result."
Eileen Stevens cautiously asked, "Not a match?"
Lynx Black nodded and tossed the test results onto the table, saying, "No blood relation."
Eileen immediately picked it up and examined it closely. She skipped over the lengthy analysis and flipped to the last page.
In cold, small print, it read: "No parental relationship supported."
Eileen couldn't help but exclaim, "She really dared to do this..."
Lynx Black chuckled, "Your sister has some guts, trying to put one over on Caelan Cooper. If this hadn't fallen on you, we might have just let it slide without digging deeper."

Lynx Black turned to Eileen and said, "Now you're in the clear, stand tall!"
Eileen sighed in resignation, "It's not that simple. This result came from you. When Myrtle Stevens accuses you of trying to frame her, who do you think Caelan Cooper will believe, her or me?"
Lynx Black smacked his lips, "He'll believe you. Caelan Cooper has a weakness for beauty."
Eileen Stevens leaned back on the couch, munching on a bun while examining the paternity test report. Furrowing her brow, she said, “I just remembered something.”
“Two months ago, Myrtle Stevens fell at home and got up with a bit of blood on the floor. I thought she had just hurt herself, but what if she actually had a miscarriage at that time?”
Lynx Black followed her train of thought, guessing, “Are you saying she was pregnant and had an unexpected miscarriage?”
Eileen nodded. “She was eager to marry into the Cooper family, so she rushed to that private clinic to get some medication, thinking she could get pregnant again. She probably wanted to wait until the pregnancy was stable before telling us, claiming she was already a month along.”
“So, Myrtle Stevens must have had a miscarriage…” Eileen quickly added, “Lynx, didn’t we only check Myrtle’s prenatal records before?”
Lynx nodded. “Yeah.”
A cold glint flashed in Eileen’s eyes. “What we really need to investigate is her miscarriage records!”
Lynx’s eyes lit up. “Smart thinking!”
He stood up and said, “I’ll swing by the First Hospital. Myrtle has always gone there for check-ups, so in case of an emergency, it would be the first choice.”
Niles Hawke finally spoke up, asking, “How’s the traffic camera footage coming along?”
Eileen raised her phone and replied, “I have some leads from this morning. There’s footage of Myrtle being in the west side of the city before her pregnancy.”
“But the cameras over there were down, so we don’t know exactly where she went. There are quite a few hotels and inns in that area, so…”
Niles pressed the intercom button and said, “Zavier Harding, come in.”
Zavier Harding immediately pushed the door open. “President?”
Niles Hawke said, "According to the location given by Eileen Stevens, send someone to check all the hotels in that area. I want to know if Myrtle Stevens has stayed there."
"Understood."

As things began to clarify, Eileen Stevens stood up and said, "I'll go with Zavier Harding to check out the west side of the city. We need to be thorough."
Niles flipped through the documents in his hand and replied, "I'll go with you."
He drove Eileen to the west side, saying, "Zavier Harding's people have checked a few nearby hotels, but so far, there hasn't been any leads."
Eileen looked at Niles and asked, "If you were having an affair, where would you go?"
Niles frowned, feeling a bit helpless. "Why do you have to use me as an example? And why would I cheat?"
Eileen stuck out her tongue. "True, with your status, you can have any woman you want."
Niles reached up and ruffled her hair before saying, "I wouldn't go to a cheap motel."
"What?"
"Your sister was raised in luxury and wouldn't tolerate anything cheap, so even if she were having an affair, she probably wouldn't go to a rundown motel."
Eileen nodded. "That makes sense."
She pulled out her phone and scrolled through it. "There's a four-star hotel up ahead; it's the best one in this area. Should we check it out?"

Niles started the car, and the two headed to the only four-star hotel in the west side—Lehai Hotel.
As they pushed the door open, the sleepy receptionist perked up at the sight of Niles Hawke, her eyes lighting up. "Good afternoon, sir! Welcome to Lehai Hotel. We're delighted to serve you!"
Eileen Stevens cleared her throat and stood next to Niles Hawke. The receptionist immediately frowned, her tone unfriendly. "Two rooms?"
Eileen shook her head and replied, "I'm looking for someone."
She pulled out a photo of Myrtle Stevens and placed it on the desk. "Have you seen this woman? If you don't remember, that's fine. Can I take a look at your hotel’s surveillance footage?"
The receptionist frowned and asked, "Who are you looking for? How do I know what your relationship is with this lady? We can't just show the surveillance to anyone!"
Eileen's mind raced, and she quickly said, "This is... his girlfriend!"
Lowering her voice as if sharing a juicy secret, she added, "I suspect she might be cheating. Please help me out."
The receptionist raised an eyebrow. "And who are you?"
Eileen blurted out, "I'm his sister! You know how embarrassing these things are for guys. Please, help us!"
The receptionist looked at Niles Hawke with sympathy, while Niles's expression darkened, grinding his teeth. "Eileen—Stevens—!"

Eileen quickly pulled out a few large bills from her bag and handed them to the receptionist. "Please, just let us take a look."
Seeing the cash, the receptionist glanced around to make sure no one was watching and whispered, "Okay, but you need to hurry! If the manager sees this, I’ll lose my bonus for the month!"
"Got it, we'll be quick!" Eileen replied, tugging Niles toward the surveillance room. Niles stared at the back of her head and said, "Wouldn't it be easier to hack in?"
Eileen waved her hand dismissively. "Then I’d have to go back to the secret base. Plus, we’re not even sure she’s really staying here. It would be such a hassle to run back and forth. If it’s not here, we’ll have to check the next place."
Niles raised an eyebrow. "And what excuse will you use for the next place? My wife is cheating?"
Eileen Stevens: "......"
Eileen pulled up the surveillance footage, rewinding it back two months. She muttered to herself, "If Myrtle Stevens had a miscarriage three months ago, then based on when I saw her buying the medication, she must have conceived again about two months ago..."
She carefully adjusted the dates, saying, "She wasn't home on the 12th, nor on the 17th, and on the 28th, she said she was out shopping with Natalia Davies..."
Eileen felt like a master detective, as the details she had previously overlooked suddenly became clear in her mind, piecing together a gradually revealing trail of clues.
