Chapter 166: Cornered

Chapter 166: Cornered
“Harry Hughes, I knew you wouldn’t disappoint me!”
“Let her go, I will give you the documents.” He said.

“And you think I will foolishly believe you!” Sara replied.
“I will show you exactly where it is in my house. You can go for it.” Harry said.

Sara chuckled, she felt they had made copies of the documents and that once it was in their hands she was doomed to be arrested - she and everyone else who was involved.

Harry tried coming closer but Sara pushed the gun further into Carina’s scalp and the men pointed their guns at Him.

Carina was so scared that she could barely speak, she was blaming herself for everything. Once again, Harry was in danger because of her.
“Don’t you dare come any closer?” Sara screamed.

“Take the gun away from her scalp!” Harry yelled.
“No way you have two guns pointed at you and you still have the audacity to give me orders!” Sara yelled back.
“I said I will give you the documents. Take the gun away from her.” Harry yelled.

“Drop your weapon and I will put mine out of her scalp.” She ordered.
Harry didn’t trust her but he had no option but to do her bidding so he gently placed his weapon on the floor and lifted both hands in surrender,

“Search him, make sure he has no other weapons,” Sara ordered her men. They ripped Harry apart and took his phone, his wallet, and everything else they found suspicious.
They didn’t allow him to put his shirt back on, they forced him to sit down and then tied him to the same pillar Carina had been tied to.

Sarah laughed, “Now you two look good together.” She teased.
“Cut the crap and end this drama already,” Harry yelled.

“No one is going home until the documents are in my hands!” Sara said.
“And how is that possible if you’re here with us?” Harry yelled even when he was being tied down by Sara’s men.

Sara shook her head, “no one is leaving this place. You better tell me where it is. If you both want to come out of this alive, give me what I’m looking for.”
Harry hissed, “They’re with your brother! I never intended to sue you anyway! The harm had already been done. I left them with your brother.”

Sara breathed a sigh of relief that those papers were with Nathan but there was still a problem. Nathan wasn’t supposed to know she was behind the kidnapping. Though they would all have an idea that she was behind it, they needed evidence to be able to convict her and it wasn’t in her plans to mess up and leave evidence behind.

She decided to return home and pretended that she didn’t know anything about Harry and Carina’s disappearance. She would visit her brother later and then steal the papers. Nathan was less likely to react because he already knew about their criminal activities and had never bothered to report it. Why would he now?
“Phil, Mike, meet me outside.” She instructed and quickly headed for the exit.

The two men obediently followed her out, she stopped right at the exit where she knew Harry and Carina couldn’t hear her then she said undertone.

“I will be going back home to get the documents from Nathan, I will let you both know when I’m there and then I want you to set fire to this facility. If we let those two leave here alive, it’s over for the two of us. Do you hear me?”
She said,
Her guards nodded, “yes, ma’am” they said in unison.

Back in the facility, Harry said softly to Carina, “Can you still move?”
Carina shook her head feebly, “I can’t feel my legs and feet and I’m hungry and thirsty.”

Harry craned his neck to have a glimpse of how Sara’s men had tied him up. They had tied two ropes to both of his hands and twined them around the pillar; the knot that held the rope together was close to Carina’s side of the pillar.

“Please do your best to shimmy your way to where my ropes are knotted. When you get to it shimmy your body against the knot,” Harry instructed patiently.
“How will that help?” She asked.
“It will take a long while, but eventually the knot will get loose.” He assured her.

Carina sighed and started to shimmy her body slowly till she could put her back on the knot and then began to rub it back and forth.

“Can you slow down a bit, the other guard is approaching,” Harry whispered to her.
Carina sighed and reduced the tempo as the guard approached followed by Sara.

“I will be going back home and as I said I’m not letting any of you out of here until I get my hands on those documents.”
Her words spelled doom for Harry, he rubbed his back gently against Carina’s knot. He knew it was over for them the moment Sara got back to New York.

“Can you at least untie Carina? She wants to use the bathroom.” Harry tried to reason with Sara.

“Well, she would have to do it here, we don’t have a bathroom anyway.” Sara said and chuckled then walked away.
“I’m sorry Harry, I’ve been nothing but trouble.” Carina apologized, feeling like all hope was lost.”

“We can talk about that when we’re out of here,” Harry replied. “Just keep rubbing, please don’t stop.”
“It’s taking forever,” Carina replied.

“Slow steps are better than no steps at all, I've been doing yours since I sat down and I know it will be loose very soon. When that happens I want to unzip my trousers and dip your hand in my boxers. I have a pocket knife in there, take it out and you know what to do."

Carina’s eyes went wide open, did Harry just ask her to dip her hands in his boxers? Wasn’t that going to be awkward.

“Carina, did you hear what I said?” Harry echoed when Carina didn’t respond,
“Erm… yea… yes I heard you.” She struggled to respond.
