Chapter 165: No disappointments

Chapter 165: No disappointments
Meanwhile, up in the mountains, it had taken Harry several hours to get to the cabin. He had faced many obstacles, and now he was afraid that by the time he got there, Sara wouldn’t be there.

He dragged himself to the back door of the cabin and stomped on the door till it broke, his face dropped when he found it empty he sighed heavily and sat on the floor in despair.

What was he going to do now? How was he going to find Carina now? He relaxed and caught his breath then got back on his feet and l started looking around the room for some leads.

There were some ropes and a chair that indicated that Carina had been brought there. There were also some wet patches on the floor that indicated that water had been poured. He moved further but tumbled on a nail that was pointing upward from the floor of the cabin.

He squatted to take a closer look at it because something on it caught his eye, it was blood but surprisingly there was no trace of blood in any other part of the room, he checked very well and there was none. He began to panic a bit hoping nothing happened to Carina.

He stepped out of the cabin through the front door and then he saw a drop of blood on the porch,

There was another drop in the snow, and after about 5 meters there was another drop, Harry gasped maybe this was leading somewhere, he had to hurry before it started snowing again to cover up the trail of blood. The blood map was leading to the East side of the mountain so he attentively followed hoping he wasn’t being misled.

Sometimes the trail of blood would disappear but sometimes he would find it again. He began to hope it wasn’t Carina’s blood. He was afraid that she was in some form of danger because what could make her bleed that much?

But as he kept going the trail stopped, he didn’t know whether to go left or right, but now he noticed that someone had dropped a trainer in the snow that looked like it belonged to Carina. He had seen her wear it on days she wanted to work out. He looked in the snow but the trail of blood had ended.

He took out his phone and searched on his map locations near him, the only locations that made sense to search were an old and abandoned food storage facility and a cheap motel.

“Where will Sara go? Definitely not a motel where she could be seen with Carina, and knowing Carina, she would escape if she was taken to a place where other people were lodging. So he took the risk and went in the direction of the food facility.

The night had ended and a new day was born and he was still wandering in the mountains hoping to find Carina and deal with Sara.

He was not the only one planning for Sara, Sara was also planning for him. She knew he wasn’t going to give up, it wasn’t like him. She just wasn’t sure how Harry was going to find their hideout. As her guards bound Carina to a pillar in the facility, Sara kept watch over the entrance.

Then she shifted her focus back to Carina whose eyes were closed due to exhaustion. Sara walked up to her and removed her jacket searching and through her clothes for a possible device that could lead Harry to the facility.

Carina stared at her with her eyes half open and her head leaning against the pillar.

“Why are you touching my body? Are you into women?” She teased.
Sara chuckled, “Most definitely not into you.” That didn’t stop her from digging her hands into Carina’s clothes. If there was a device she had to find it, they had been traveling for a day. All of this couldn’t go to waste because of Harry.

“Now tell me! Where are those darn documents?”
“I said I was going to tell you! But you, you! You won’t let me go and neither will you listen to me.” Carina said, trying hard to catch her breath.

“I don’t believe anything you say,” Sara screamed.
“Then why ask me?”

“Look, I’m going to send two men to your apartment, we are going to watch them on my phone and you’re going to show them exactly where you put these documents!” Sara said.
“They’re with Harry!” Carina blurted out, “I printed them and gave them to Harry!”

Sara flew into a fit of rage when she heard that. Harry would destroy her with that information. How did Carina do this without her ever knowing?

She smacked her across the face “just when all my dreams were about to come true. You show up and mess it up for me! Harry was about to give up the company for me! How dare you?” She screamed and boxed her again.

This hurt Carina. She screamed in pain.
“Ma’am you have to tone down in hitting her, she’s already weak, if she dies we are in trouble,” Phil warned her,

But Sara wanted Carina dead, her existence was nothing but trouble to her. If she let Carina get out of this situation she would go to jail no doubt about it. Her plan was to get the document and make Carina’s death look like an accident.

“I will call Harry now! And you will tell him to show me where those documents are! And until every copy has been received I’m not letting you go!” She said authoritatively.

Before Carina could say anything the doorknob was shot through, then both doors went flying in different ways. Harry had stormed in with a gun in his hand.

Harry!” Carina exclaimed in tears.
“Carina!” Harry tried to approach her but Sara pointed a gun at Carina’s head with a sinister smile on her face.

“Harry Hughes, I knew you wouldn’t disappoint me!”
“Let her go, I will give you the documents.” He said.
