Chapter 104 Chapter 104
'What the heck is this nonsense?' I was going to storm to them but Mason yelled in the link.
'Don't just go to her so they're not suspicious. Please be patient. I've got this.'
He stood behind a large tree then returned close to the entrance and slipped out something that looked like a small gun and swiftly shot it at the people before either of them could glance at us.
They all fell to the ground and I quickly rushed to her, picking her up in my arms.
"Keegan, stay the fuck away!" She pushed me again.
"Please be calm." I held her but she was stronger than before and was able to get out of my grip.
"Let me go. Why the fuck are you even here? Freya!" she started screaming.
"I'm sorry, but-" Mason said and shot her with the tiny gun- looking item.
"Don't..." she tailed off and her eyes rolled backwards and closed. I caught her before she could fall. "Is it deadly?" I asked him.
"No. I'm sorry I had to do that. She was definitely not going to come with us willingly.'
"If it won't kill her, then it's fine." I carried her bridal style then he quickly took the tiny arrows out of the men and woman's bodies.
"To avoid any suspicions or traces," he explained and I nodded. " Let's get out of here before we're caught. Sabrina said their zone is dangerous and difficult to get out of if we're trapped in it."
We both quickly found our way out then we ran back to the car.
\- JANE -
I fluttered my eyelashes before finally opening my eyes. I was startled to see myself in Keegan's bedroom. My memory flashed back to being with the Montgomerys then Mason and Keegan had come to stop them from helping me get rid of the painful memory I had of Keegan.
'Who the hell do they think they are to stop us?' Vera growled.
I got up to my feet and stormed to the door. When I wanted to open it, the door knob turned and was pushed open and the door hit my nose in the process.
"I'm so sorry." Keegan apologized. "Are you okay?" He attempted to touch me.
I stepped back and slapped his hand away. "Why did you take me away from there? What do you want with me?" I yelled.
"I'm glad you're finally awake." Relief flashed in his amber eyes. " Jane, I don't know how or why you're with the Ardolfs, but I'm certain they've messed with your head." he stepped closer.
"Stay away! I don't want to see your shitty face." I barked.
Mason and Rylee walked from behind him and shut the door. The horror in Rylee's emerald eyes scared me but seeing them pissed me off even more and a strong hatred rang in my head to not only Keegan, but all of them.
"Jane, please be normal again." Rylee pleaded.
"Shut up! Shut your little mouth up!" I spat at her.
"Please." Her eyes welled up.
"Rylee, please go to Jane's bedroom." Keegan said and she sniffled before taking her leave.
"Why do you want me here? Let me go right now?" I demanded, trying to get past him.
"She's clearly under the influence of something. I knew those Ardolfs were attached to something supernatural." Mason said.
"That's so obvious. Her eyes are glowing with a strange form of redness around them. Look at how dark they are." He creased his forehead.
"I can't see anything in her eyes, but if you do, then she definitely needs help." Mason replied.
Why were they speaking like I wasn't in the same room?
'Get past them really quickly.' Vera said.
I punched Keegan really hard so he let go of me and when I got to Mason, I kicked him in the balls and started running away.
Could I possibly link my parents from here? I wanted to get out of here. I felt suffocated being around Keegan and being in this pack.
I heard Mason still groaning but Keegan was running after me.
It didn't take a few more seconds before he pulled me back and effortlessly threw me over his shoulder.
I punched his back, kicking my legs in the air, yelling for him to let me go but he paid no attention.
When we got back to the room, he turned to Mason. "I'm so sorry about that. You can take your leave. I need to talk to her."
Mason had a frown on as he left then Keegan shut the door while still holding me really tight so I couldn't get off.
"Let me go! I hate you so much, you motherfucking dickhead!" I cussed.
He ignored me and walked over to throw me on the bed.
His presence was frustrating me, like it was sucking my blood out of me and making my head pound in frustration.
I still tried to escape but he straddled me and locked my hands above my head.
"I've never known you to be this stubborn. Jeez." He let out a harsh breath. "Now tell me. Why on Earth are you working with the Ardolfs? What have they done to you?"
"They're my family members!" I struggled to move or get my hand out of his grip but to no avail.
"Family members?"
"Yes, I'm an Ardolf and you've done nothing but ruin our whole lives. From taking over our town to killing my twin sister, you're terrible! I want nothing but revenge." My voice was very venomous as I gnashed my teeth.
"Whoa, calm down. What twin sister? What have these people said to you?" he let go of my hands with furrowed eyebrows and I managed to push him off him.
"Don't try to act so innocent!" My lips were drawn into a snarl.
"Jane, I have no idea what you're talking about. The Ardolfs have always been the terrible ones. I didn't take their town, they were members of this pack and what the hell do you mean by I killed your twin sister? What have they done to your poor brain?" his tone was concern-filled.
"Even if those aren't true, you broke my heart. I still hate you so much. I overheard you speaking to Kate about how you're only using me and you're with me just because you vowed to make me yours to destroy me. Guess what, you've successfully destroyed me."
I wanted to run away again, but remembering his words crushed me and I burst into tears, burying my head in my palms. He stood in front of me, holding my shoulders.
"Jane, I seriously begged you, I told you to trust me. If only you had stopped to question me and had spoken to me, none of these would've happened. I only told Kate all of that because I know how terrible Mom is and due to her hatred for you, she'll want to create problems for you and our relationship in order to ensure that you never become Luna officially since she wants nothing but to remain in control. I had to lie to her to distract her focus from you.
"I know my mother more than you know her and lying to her was the only way to keep you safe from her torture. I tried my best to sound as harsh as possible so she believed me. She has always raised me to believe that love and having a mate will only crush my strength, and if I hadn't lied to her, she'd think my strength is deteriorating because I'm in love with you.. I told you to trust me, that's all you had to do and all you have to do right now." He held my hands. "Why would I just be using you? Who cares about the stupid rejection? I love you."
My gaze was fixed on him and I was so lost of words to say. The force in me was trying to push me to still remain mad at me but his words seemed so genuine and his touch was making tingles flow in me again.
"How am I supposed to trust you're not lying to me? How would you make me so worthless to someone else? Didn't you promise to be my mate regardless of what anyone said?" I cried. "How can I possibly forgive you?"
"Jane please," he made me sit by the edge of the bed and knelt in front of me, holding my hands. "Please, I'm going crazy without you. Please forgive me. I love you so much, I'll die if you remain so far from me. Don't punish me by leaving me or working with the Ardolfs. How can my emotions be fake? I admit it was very foolish of me to have said such hurtful words against you and I could've tried to come up with something else.
"Please Jane. I love you so much. I vowed to be yours forever and I will. We're bound together forever. My whole life and purpose is surrounded by you. Please, just trust me. I promise it'll never happen again." His eyes were shimmering with hurt and his tone was really calm and reeled around my head to convince me.
'He sounds genuine.' Vera shrugged.
It felt like something was nudging me to not believe him but a strange and stronger emotion filled my heart.
'I mean, the strongest Alpha in the world is kneeling before us. Plus, he's looking way too handsome to not be forgiven.' She added.
I sighed and cupped his face. "Keegan, stop kneeling, it makes me feel strange."
"Is that a yes?" He sat beside me and held my hands again. "I feel so terrible right now. Don't ever leave me like that anymore. Learn how to trust me. Every relationship requires communication. Communicate with me. Share your concerns with me next time, let's resolve the differences immediately. I love you so much."
"I love you too." Did I just say that?
He smiled and held my face to pull me into a kiss. As he deepened the kiss, the strange force that had been surrounding me lately felt like it dropped and the sparks for Keegan woke up again.
I held his shoulders, gently nibbling on his lip before pulling away.
He peered into my eyes with a smile of relief plastered on his face. " The strange redness and darkness in your eyes are gone."
"Redness?"
"Yes. I'll assume it's a sign they aren't controlling you anymore, so tell me how you met them."
I actually felt completely normal again and didn't feel suffocated to be around him. It felt like my brain had hit the reset button.
"I met Freya way back when I went missing after The Andersons' party, then she claimed she was my Aunt."
Mason walked in with Rylee hiding behind him. "Have you confirmed that she's back to her senses?" he still had a small frown on.
"Why'd I kick Mason? It makes no sense." When I noticed Rylee quivering behind him, it shattered me that I had yelled at her for no reason. "Rylee, I'm so sorry. I don't know what got into me. Please come here. I missed you so fucking much."
She glanced at Mason and Keegan before reluctantly stepping into my arms and I pulled her into a hug, planting a kiss on her forehead. "I'm so sorry."
"What did those people do to you? I was so scared." She pouted then glanced at Keegan with a smile, "I knew we could trust her."
"Jane, please continue what you were saying." He tucked my hair behind my ear and that made me feel much calmer and made me realize how much I missed his gentle touches.
"After I met her, then I had a flashback of you killing my twin sister, Jess, and taking over our land."
"I don't understand what you mean by killing your twin sister and taking over your land. I had nothing to do with your whole life before you came into this pack. I didn't even know anything about you." He insisted.
"I don't know how I had the flashback of you killing Jess. I was so broken to know you separated me from my family members and vowed to take revenge on you. Freya said I had to make sure I become your Luna for the revenge to take place."
"So you were fooling me? Am I supposed to be mad and suspicious?" He frowned.
"N-no." I shook my head, holding him. "I was going to get my revenge till I started to trust and love you. I met Freya again and she took me to my parents. They made me think you were terrible but I refused and defended you so much. After hearing you speaking to Kate about how you were only using me, I was so mad then Freya took me to my parents and... and.. I don't know... I think.... I have no idea how but it worsened my hatred for you.
"My parents told me that I'm actually Jane Ardolf and showed me the whole family tree; they also informed me that I'm an half witch and half werewolf, they helped me finally have my wolf and there's Darion, they promised he'd be my second chance mate and were going to help get rid of my mark.
"I would've never forgiven them if they got rid of your mark." He frowned. "So you and this Darion, did anything happen between you?" he peered into my eyes.
"No, nothing much. He was just really sweet and made me blush." I noticed his jaw and fist clench so I held his face. "I would definitely not consider him that sweet. I don't know why, but it always felt like a force was pushing me and my wolf into believing that you are terrible.
"If you claim they are witches, then they most likely tampered with your thoughts with their magic." Mason concluded. "We were right!" Rylee grinned at Keegan. "I knew you wouldn't just attack my pack out of your own will. I'm glad I trusted you." He had a proud smile on.
"I attacked the pack!" I gasped. Realization just struck me as my eyebrows curled upwards. "None of the pack members will like me ever again.
"You and the Ardolfs, so many lives were lost." Rylee added.
"Oh my gosh. I know I didn't kill anyone but I was helping them out with avoiding attacks from Dark Stone. I'm such a terrible Luna." I felt like crying.
"No, you're not. The Ardolfs just got into you." He drew me into his embrace, obviously noticing that I could cry anytime soon. "How can you be certain you're actually related to them?" He asked.
I raised my head. "I'm definitely related to them. We have so many similar memories and they have a compilation of my life before being an omega at Dark stone pack, but I'm certain that there's a misunderstanding. They all strongly believe you killed their daughter and took over their land and they're living far away from everyone with this perspective, you're the terrible ones.'
"Yes, I'll also assume there's a misunderstanding." Mason stroked his beard, nodding.
"You're in so much danger, Keegan. They're planning to destroy this pack and mostly you, and can you believe that Vladimir and Stefan are working with them?" I frowned, just realizing how ridiculous and terrible that was.
"What the heck! Why would they?" He frowned too.
"That just confirms that they were tampering with my memory, because they called me to a meeting with Vladimir to destroy you and your reign, but when I disagreed to it, one of their elders ran his hand over my head and mine and my wolf's mind was against you and it created an even terrible hatred for you." "This is definitely suspicious. What do we do now?" Mason asked.
"I can help you out." A familiar woman said as she walked in and we were all so startled at her presence.
"Sabrina? How the hell are you in here again?" Mason grumbled.
~ KATE ~
I had overheard Keegan telling Jane that he only lied to me about her.
I would've paid attention to their conversation even more but I noticed Mason and that stupid new mutt coming towards me so I had to leave.
This made no sense at all. How dare Keegan lie to me?
I had raised him to enforce my control over him and his decisions but this new bitch around him was ruining things.
Did Keegan think I was so stupid?
It made my memory flashback to my conversation with Vladimir at the hallway when he had said that I was becoming useless and when he mentioned that I was going to be weak and die soon, I had to slap him and leave to avoid hearing him utter any rubbish again.
I couldn't let my entire years of hard work, of being in control over the largest pack and strongest Alpha, of sustaining my life with supernatural strength, I couldn't let all my years of so much work be crushed by a stupid Jane Ardolf.
I had always known she was one of the Ardolfs, of course, I made her be in the pack because of my personal benefit, I had made sure she had no memory of her parents and her past life, I had made sure to kill the gift that ought to be bestowed upon her.
I had made sure everything went in my control, but it was all falling apart now.
It was high time I went back to my sources to seek help because things seemed like they were rolling beyond my control already.
