Chapter 46 Teaching Cam

POV: Jax

Alpha Julian and Rose have arrived today. I had Jack take them up to my office. I just left Haven with Her mom and Penny. After today I will let her be alone. I'm pretty sure at this point we are in the safe zone of her not attempting to commit suicide.

When I'm done talking to Julian and Rose I will let them see Haven. I need to get this all going so that I can claim what is rightfully mine.

I enter my office and Jack is waiting inside with them. "Hello everyone." I sit in my chair.

"Jack this is Haven's birth parents." I introduce. Jack swallow visibly. "Jack is Haven's father. He raised her."

"Oh it's nice to meet you. You did an amazing job raising her." Julian says sadly and glares at Rose. "Julian i explained this already. I'm sorry but I did the best I knew how to keep her safe. You can be mad at me all you want."

"Why would he be mad at you?" Jack asks curiously. "Because she never told him that Haven existed." I provide.

"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that. Haven has been god sent." Jack says. "Yes well we can go see Haven in a little bit but first there is something I need you to do for me." I start.

"What is it?" Alpha Julian asks. "I need for you to go to the palace and offer up Haven to Alpha Santos." I say plainly.

"I'm sorry what. No I won't give Haven to them." Julian says in disbelief that I would even suggest this. "They won't actually get Haven. Rose already knows the process. You will give permission for him to have her. In doing so you will see what exactly is going on in the inside. It is the easiest and safest way to get in."

"OK but what if this all goes bad and they get Haven anyway?" Julian questions. "What I'm about to tell you doesn't leave this room. You tell no one. This is the one advantage we have. Haven is Imprinted. Our bond is unbreakable. Its fully sealed. Whatever they try would not work."

They have shocked expressions. "Wow." Rose says. "Haven will always be protected. Not to mention she has the goddess on her side." I say to assure them this is the best possible path to take.

"How would I contact you?" Julian asks. "In my father's death all his power transferred to me so I should be able to mindlink you." I explain.

I haven't tested this out yet. I'm still getting used to this whole being king thing. I've been a prince for so long and now I'm allowed to take the throne. Its a lot.

I decide to test it out now. I close my eyes concentrating on linking to Julian. "Hello? Can you hear me?"

"Um yes?" I hear Julian in my head. This is going to work. I open my eyes. "Now that we know that it works I will keep the link open in case of emergencies." I tell him.

"Wait there is something else you should know. I have had a spy in my pack. I haven't been able to locate him but his scent has been around. He is like a ghost." Julian informs me.

"OK so you think he may know you're here?" This is not good. "I can't be too sure. There hasn't been a sighting nor a scent of him in the past week. I've taken precautions so he can't hear any kind of sensitive conversations. I think from the description I've been able to gather this is Riddler."

Ash roars in my head giving me a headache but I agree. Riddler and I have crossed paths before. He's a mercenary. Alpha's have used him for years. Julian is right though he's a ghost. You won't see him unless he wants to be seen.

"Riddler. So they've decided to use him. Why would he be in your pack to begin with?" I ask. "Because of me. I think I was followed. Santos has been looking for me for a while now." Rose answers.

"Jack triple security at the boarders. I want not one gap. No chance for anyone to enter without my knowing. Riddler is smart." I order.

The last time I saw Riddler was fifty years ago. He was sent hear to my pack in hire to kill one of my pack members. He didn't succeed. He was able to get away. I haven't had him even try to come anywhere near my pack. He won't get away this time.

"Riddler knows not to come near my pack. He knows the consequences he will face if he does." I state.

"I take it you have crossed paths." Julian says. "Yes and it wasn't pretty." I respond. "I will try what you want. How would I get out. I have a mate and a son at home. And now I have a newly found daughter. I can't just leave them." Julian states his concerns.

"I'm not sure. If your Lucky he will just have you sign this and be on your way but you could give him Rose as a bargaining chip. He wants her too. I know that is extremely risky but we would be there ready to attack soon enough after."

"I'm not sure i want to risk that. I'd only use that as a last case scenario." Julian says unsure. Rose stays silent.

"Well now that we have all of this settled. Let's go find Haven." They follow me to find Haven. I find her in the game room sitting on the floor crisscross with Cameron on her lap as she plays a video game. Penny is sitting next to her.

"See Cameron all you have to do is jump over the gate." Is she teaching my two and half week old son how to play video games.

"I'm sure at this rate he will be able to play this before he can even sit up?" I say gaining her attention. She looks over. "Well how else will he learn to beat you. He better start practicing now." I chuckle.

"Really? You got him ganging up on me already." I shake my head. "Anyway some people are here to see you so hand me my little pup."

She puts the controller down and carefully picks up Cameron holding him out to me. I get him from her so she can get up off the floor.

"Hello Haven." Julian greets her. "Oh hi. Its nice to see you again." Haven says a little awkwardly. I bet things are awkward between them.

"Who is this honey?" Linda ask her. Haven looks nervous. "Um this is Julian and Rose. They're my birth parents mom."

"Oh. Um hello. I'm Linda Havens Mother." Linda introducing herself. She made sure to apply that she was Haven's mother and no one was going to take her away.

"Play nice Linda we all know who you are. They aren't going to take her away. You should be more worried about me taking her away because I will." I claim. Haven is mine and I can take her away and have her all to myself.

"Ignore the giant grumpy dwarf he's still worried I'm going to try and kill myself again so he wants to lock me in some tower with a dragon guarding it like Fiona." Haven says.

"What did you just call me?" I know she did not. "You did what?" Julian asks surprised. "I was depressed and its done don't worry about it." Haven ignores my question all together answering Julian.

Thats ok I'll get her later for that. "Was she wrong though? You are grumpy and a giant." Ash says rolling his eyes. "I'm not grumpy." I grumble at him.

Haven spends some time with her birth parents for about an hour before they have to go. Julian will be at the palace tomorrow getting me my information.

Now that everything is in motion and I have the rest of the day it time to get my baby for calling me names.

She's still in the game room. I laid Cameron down to sleep a few minutes ago. "Oh Haven." I taunt her.

"What?" She says like she's done nothing wrong. "Someone has been being mean and calling me names. I wonder just who that could be?"

"I don't know." She says like she didn't do it. "You don't? Should we add lying to the list to?" I tease her. "Jax what are you talking about? Is this because I called you grumpy?"

"I don't know what do you think." She shakes her head. "Awe dud someone's feelings get hurt?" She speaks in a baby voice. "Thats it." I start towards her. "Ahh" she runs.

I chase her around the room until I catch her. Once I get her I tickle her relentlessly. She laughs and laughs. "Stop." She says between laughs. "I can't breath." She says.

"Take it back." I tell her. "No." I tickle her even more. "OK ok I take it back."

I stop. She gains her breath back. "You want to play?" I ask her referring to the video game on the TV screen. "Sure." She agrees sitting down grabbing a controller. "What not going give Cameron anymore lessons?"

"No our Class ended. We have one tomorrow though. Then when he starts crawling we'll work on getting him to beat you in pool."

"So your going to use my own son against me." She nods her head smiling at me. She is something else.
