Chapter 120 Defying logic
Chapter 120 Defying logic
The impact was sudden and violent.
Ghost commander ninety had been completely unable to react. His back slammed hard against the wall nearby and the walls cracked, small debris falling rapidly.
For a split second, everything froze and time seemed to halt.
Even the assassins stopped. They all stared at their undefeatable leader, who was struggling to stand on the floor, their mouth went agape in surprise.
Hazel's breath hitched as she turned towards the source of the attack, but when it saw who it was, her pupils dilated.
It was not a ‘who’ but a ‘what.’
A small figure, one so easily ignored and one that could be squashed under the feet of all the assassins stood calmly at a spot, its red eyes surveying the scene with an eerie calmness tgat was odd.
“L…Little Red?” Hazel stammered out, almost unable to believe.
The force that sent their leader flying was from this…little thing? A fox cub? Were their eyes playing tricks on them or something? All the assassins had their eyes almost popping out of their sockets due to how shocked they were.
Little Red stood there calmly, as though their shocks had nothing to do with her. As if it had always been there.
Ghost commander ninety finally managed to stand up, he had not seen what his subordinates had seen, so he was still looking around for the culprit who dared attack him.
“Who is it? Show yourself right now!” He bellowed, green veins popping out of his forehead.
Since he became a Ghost commander, he had never experienced such disgrace and shame.
One of the fang assassins, who was closer to the Ghost commander, cleared his throat and pointed to Little Red.
“C…Commamder, it’s…the Little Cub.” He stammered and Ghost Commander ninety finally saw Little Red.
Then, the corner of his eyelids twitched and he was about to turn and reprimand the fang assassin who spoke when he suddenly froze.
Right in front of all of them, Little Red suddenly let out a low growl from deep with her throat. It wasn’t a sound that could be made by that small body at all, it sounded like it came from a massive wild creature.
But the air shifted that same moment and then something shocking occurred.
At first, the change was subtle, but Hazel, who had held Little Red countless number of times already, saw it.
Little Red’s body was enlarging.
First, it was her limbs that stretched unnaturally, second it was her furs that bristled and became longer. A sickening sound of bones cracking filled the air as Little Red’s body grew rapidly.
In a few seconds, the tiny fox cub was gone. And in its place was a massive fox creature with furs as white as snow, having a hint of crimson under its belly.
Her eyes were red and larger, but it was not that calm, it now possessed a ferocity that made the assassins instinctively take a step back.
The alley suddenly felt too small to accommodate the massive Little Red. It is not even certain if she can be called Little Red anymore, because nothing about her was little.
“W…What?” Ghost commander ninety had his eyes wide open.
Was that still a fox cub? How can its size change so much? Is it something an ordinary cub could achieve?
The beast, Little Red, bared its enormous fangs at the assassins.
They all stood still, but after a while, a thought occurred to Ghost commander ninety.
“Attack it and bring it down. It can enlarge in size, but I don’t think its strength caj increase. It is just trying to intimidate us. Bring it to me, we will take it back.” Ghost commander ninety bellowed, his eyes slowly shining.
Taking such a massive creature back, he would be able to show off in the hall.
The fang assassins reasoned with what their leader had said and after exchanging glances, they charged over.
Hazel grew worried and was about to rush over, but in the next second, she realized that her worry wasn’t necessary.
Because in the next moment, Little Red vanished.
No, she did not completely vanish, it was because she was too fast and all most people could see was a blur.
It was too fast.
An assassin didn’t even have the time to react before his body was torn apart midair. Blood and inner organs poured on the floor, and the remaining eight assassins paused briefly in shock and fear.
“What are you waiting for? Bring it to me!” Ghost commander ninety bellowed.
Even though they were somewhat afraid, the assassins still rushed forward, but what happened next left the crowd of three people in shock.
Claws slashed through flesh, bodies were flung aside like they were made of nothing. Some had their heads severed from the rest of their bodies, some had their bodies torn into two like the first one and some were crushed into blood paste under Little Red’s paws.
It was a scary sight.
Even Hazel could not help but shiver. Her wolf side was not as large as Little Red and would definitely not be able to achieve such a feat in the battleground.
It was simply defying all logic Hazel had ever known.
The remaining assassins tried to run, but it was too late. Little Red reached them before they could take one step forward.
“No, no…”A deafening scream echoed in the alley, before it was abruptly cut short and the sound that followed was the squelching of flesh.
As Little Red took on the last set of assassins, Ghost commander ninety moved in a sneak attack. He was so sneaky that even Hazel and Alex had no idea.
He aimed his blade at Little Red as he arrived behind it. He was about to slash down when the creature abruptly turned around.
Ghost commander ninety’s eyes widened, “W…what…”
Little Red’s massive paw slammed towards him in an instant.
