Chapter 108 Riding with them

Chapter 108 Riding with them

It turned out that the man she has been looking for has been here all along.

Alex pointed towards the other side of the field where Damien was lazily leaning against a post. Killian was beside him, telling him something with a smile on his face. Damien wore a black fitting training outfit, his aura enough to attract attention.

Hazel stared at Damien for a second before averting her gaze. Yet, she could not ignore the way her heart leapt in joy when she saw him.

Sometimes, she could not help but wonder. How could she fall in love with her enemy? How was it even possible to like someone without even knowing what they looked like?

“So?” Alex crossed his arms. “What do you think?”

Hazel blinked.

“Think about what?” She asked.

“Aren’t you curious to watch me race?” Alex asked, pointing to himself dramatically.

Hazel was curious, but for someone else. She doesn’t think she had seen Damien ride a horse before.

“I’m quite curious.” She answered, much to Alex’ excitement. He was determined to show off his masculine side to her and he bet that she would fall head over heels for him.

It was all in line with his plan, he had intentionally invited her to the race to show off.

Then, Hazel suddenly thought of something, “How about I join you?”

Alex paused, “You can race?”

Hazel shook her head calmly, “Well, you guys can. So, you can take turns to teach me. What do you think?”

Alex frowned, about to refuse when he suddenly thought of something important. If he were to train her, won’t her good impression of him increase even further?

Moreover, they will even get closer then.

It was a win-win situation.

Alex pretended to be in a dilemma as he said, “But you don’t…”

“Will you teach me or not?”

Alex quickly nodded and patted his chest, “Of course, you don’t have to worry about anything. I will handle the rest.”

Hazel glanced back at Damien and smiled secretly. She wants to see how Damien would avoid her in front of so many people.

“Let’s go. I will take you to meet the others.” Alex said and with that, they both walked towards Killian and Damien.

When Killian saw Hazel, he smiled, “Look who we have here.”

Alex rolled his eyes, “You are staring at her too much, keep your eyes to yourself.”

Killian snorted, “Can you not be so obvious?”

“I am being obvious. What can you do about iy?”

Killian sneered, “I can’t be bothered to argue with someone like you.” He turned back to Hazel. “What are you here for? To watch us race?”

Alex quickly replied, “No, she wants to race.”

Killian glanced at Alex in mild exasperation, “Can you keep shut for a while? She has a mouth, so let her speak for herself. What in goddess name is wrong with you?”

Alex scoffed, but did not say anything more.

“You can race?” Killian asked and Hazel shook her head.

“I can barely ride a horse.”

Killian chuckled, “So where did your confidence come from?”

“Well, I have the three of you. I learn quickly.” She replied and Killian laughed.

“You made us your trainers without even asking for our consent, impressive.” He said. He wasn’t actually angry or anything, he just found it amusing.

He could not count the number of people who wanted him or Alex to train them, but Hazel got the chance without even asking them if they wanted to or not.

No matter how he thought about it, it was funny.

“Well, you guys don’t have a choice.” Hazel replied and Killian raised his brow in surprise.

“Not even the Alpha?”

Hazel turned to Damien and smirked, “Not even the Alpha, he has no choice.”

Killian smiled, clearly entertained.

Alex, on the other hand, stared at Hazel with bright eyes, “I feel like I’m loving you even more now.”

Both Killian and Hazel rolled their eyes at him in sync, but he didn’t seem to mind.

Damien had already mounted his horse, it was a black horse with a brown mane.

“That is Damien’s treasured horse. It had accompanied him from childhood, they are very close.” Killian told Hazel when he noticed her staring at the horse.

Hazel wasn't really looking at the horse, but at Damien. However, when Killian spoke about the horse, she shifted her gaze to it.

The horse was gallant and it seemed proud, a point Hazel noticed when she saw how it had its head raised. But when Damien caressed its mane, it leaned closer to his touch.

As Killian said earlier, they seem quite close and the horse was smart, but not as smart as her Little Red.

Speaking of which, the little cub had disappeared once again. Hazel had no idea where it normally goes. Killian gestured towards the stable nearby and said, “Bring our horses and the white one.”

Moments later, the stable brought three more horses out.

One of them was brown and Alex quickly approached it to rub its mane, “Buddy, did you miss me?”

The horse neighed like it was replying to Alex, and the man laughed.

Killian held the reins of a black horse and patted its back affectionately.

When Hazel saw the last horse, she fell in love instantly.

It was a white, elegant horse. Its coat was flawless and properly groomed, not a single dirt could be seen on its body. Its limbs were sturdy and strong, and there was a hint of indifference in her eyes.

“I specifically had them bring this particular horse for you, nobody has been able to ride it before.” Killian pointed out with a smile.

“It’s beautiful.” She pointed out.

“It might seem cold, but it is actually gentle. It is good for first-timers like you.” He added.

Hazel walked towards the horse and caressed its white mane, the horse stared at her before neighing softly, making Hazel smile.

“I like her.”

“I knew you would.”
