Chapter 34 Think About It.

Naida
“What do we do? We need a plan. We can't let him do this to me. I thought I could trust him, but turns out nobody can be trusted."

“Really?" Jayden pretended like he didn't know what I was talking about, and for a moment I thought he was being real until he frowned his face.

“You thought I was lying to you from the onset, how could you even think that? Do you know how much I love you? You don't even care how much I care for you. Maybe that's the reason you're acting this way. You seem to not care about how I feel about you.”

Words were failing me at this point. He seemed to be confessing his feelings or was he messing with my head, or was there something I wasn't just getting? It all seemed too good to be true.

“Are you being serious right now? You love me?" I asked, my brows curved into each other as I tried my face to the ground before raising it up.

“Since the very first time I set my eyes on you. The day when you were being bullied, and I rescued you. I have been in love with you since that day."

I immediately shook my head. Maybe it was because I was still not convinced. He had been in love with me? Nothing crazy had happened and I recalled suppressing my feelings for him back then because I felt he wouldn't want a weakling like me.

I shook my head. “You have got to be kidding me. Tell me…"I shook my head. “It might actually be a joke right? You're messing with me, aren't you?” I tried to understand what he was trying to say, but it seemed like he was telling the truth.

His eyes showed sincerity, but I waited for his words again.
“Well it's not a joke. It's the truth. I love you. That's why I can't bear to see you with that alpha. There's just something about him. He's strange, and mean. He would want to use your head against you, but there's no need to worry about it. I am here for you."

I didn't even need him to confirm for me to feel safe. He had always been someone who always looked out for me, so I knew whatever he was saying made a lot of sense to me.

“Well, aren't you going to tell me you love me too?" He asked, pulling me closer, so close that his breath fanned my face.

I swallowed the lump that threatened to remain in my throat, trying to force down the rest which seemed abortive at first.

“What do you say? I know you need a solution, but then you also have to look at it from my own perspective. I can tell you really want to make sure things are different, I can tell.”

"Well yes. It's the truth. I know you can understand what I'm trying to say. It's not really what you're looking for, but it's something.”

I sighed. I knew he was being truthful to him, but I wasn't worried about love for now. In fact, I was more worried about all the things that had been happening. More like the trouble in my mind.

"I know you love me, but…” I pulled away from his side, taking two steps backwards as I wrapped my hands around themselves. It was as though I was about to warm myself from the chilling truths.

“But we can't be anything other than friends for now. My ma–” I quickly corrected myself. " Luciver still is my mate, and for now, not until we are able to figure out how to get rid of him, or get me out of here I won't lie, we are stuck.”

He hummed, nodding gently. It seems he was taking note of my point, or maybe he had a lot on his mind about the issue.

“Didn't I ask you not to be scared? Why won't you just trust me?" His expression turned dark for a split second, and then he walked over to me. This time his hands rested on my shoulders, and he heaved.

“You don't have to worry like I said earlier. Just stick with me, please…”

She shook her head. " He is strong. He beat you up so bad that I had to intervene. Don't you think we should just let the plan go on?"

He raised a brow, this time, his friendly demeanor was gone, and he stared at me with a dark look in his eyes.

“You don't have to do this. I have a feeling that you know what I am talking about."

He nodded. “Of course I know, but I allowed that. He isn't a match for me. I also have something he doesn't, and you know I am not lying to you."

The rate at which he was trying to convince me was alarming, but I wanted to trust he knew what he was doing.

“You really don't have to make it such a big deal. I already love that's happening. You just have to trust me and don't look back. I know what I can do to make it better. You don't have to worry.”

No words were said, and I found myself being even more worried about the whole thing. Maybe it was time to give him a chance, maybe it was time to let him….

He cuts into my train of thoughts. "Let me love you, let me care and take care of you. Allow me–” he stopped talking, and slammed his lips on mind.

It was unexpected, and I found myself moving along despite my wolf trying to fight it.

The kiss was passionate, and carried a form of hurry. By the time he finally pulled away, he was wearing a smirk while I was still trying to compose myself.

My breath came out in pants, and he watched me with a smirk that I was so worried about.

"Think about it.” This time his voice came out breathy, and his chest paced like mine.

I sighed, still taking in air. Was this some kind of joke, or something?
