Chapter 61 061

Chapter 61 061
"Miss Granger, I've changed the samples like you asked..." Mr. Reggie, the doctor’s call came in late at night.

Mona’s eyes moved a little. "Are you sure? He hasn't gotten suspicious?”

"Don't worry. I've been really careful with the whole thing,” Mr. Reggie said with confidence, "There's no way it will be found."

Mona didn't say anything about it. She wired Mr. Reggie some cash through William’s account, as they had agreed, and then she destroyed the SIM cards they had used to talk to each other.

As soon as her car left the neighborhood the next morning, a Maybach quickly sped over from the other side of the road and halted in front of her car with an air of superiority.

Mona slammed on the brakes and glanced at Leo with fear and hatred still in her eyes. "Are you out of your mind?"

Leo got out of the car and stood outside her door, looking down at her with an air of superiority. "Let's talk."

Even when he remained still and expressionless, his aura was so strong that it made him seem scary.

She held on to the steering wheel tightly and spoke without thinking, "There's nothing for us to talk about."

"Is that true?" Leo’s heavy stare was fixed on her face.

"You should know that I've never been one to give in easily!"

The drivers of the cars behind Mona were stuck and honking their horns in desperation. Mona gritted her teeth and threw open her car door when she saw that traffic was about to stop and Leo wasn't moving.

She gave him an annoyed look and said, "What do you want?"

When Leo unlocked the door of his car, the driver grabbed the keys from Mona and stood calmly to the side. Mona got out of her car and climbed into the Maybach, even though she didn't want to.

She suddenly sensed something strange when Leo sat in the driver's seat and drove without showing any emotion.

Since coming back to this city, she had spent almost more time with Leo than she had in this marriage before.

Leo drove the car up the mountain and gave her two reports on the paternity test. "The results of the paternity test. The kids are not mine?” He stared at her with keen eyes. "Who is their dad then?"

Mona kept her cool. "I've told you from the start that they have nothing to do with you. The problem is that you don't believe it.”

"Who is their father?"

"If they're not yours, why would you care who their dad is?" Mona laughed at him. "I don't want to keep reminding you that we are no longer married."

Leo looked at her closely and then quickly grabbed her hand, bringing them closer together. She was concerned since they were so near. She automatically tried to move back, but he moved in on her again.

"Your life abroad these years seems pretty busy, but don't forget how you made me mad at first."

Mona had no choice but to stay put because the cold inside the car was pressing against her back. She looked him straight in the eye. "The father of the children is Conan."

Leo looked right at her. "Say that one more time."

She said with certainty and she felt bad for Conan, "Conan is the children's father,"

Leo let go of her hand slowly. He sneered and then grabbed her chin, his eyes flashing with danger. "Don't believe that just because you're now the leader of the Zenith Group or even the Clinton family, you….” His voice got more and more threatening. "What made you think you could keep messing with me?"

He pulled out two paternity test reports again as he said. Mona saw that the papers were the results of the paternity test between Conan and her kids when she looked at them.

"You can think again. Who else besides Conan could be the father of these two kids?" Leo laughed at her.

She calmed down and tried to get him angry again. "Since we're already divorced, why do you care who the father of my kids is?" Her phone rang out of the blue before she could continue. She looked at him and saw that he wasn't stopping her, so she answered the phone.

Conan’s voice sounded a little nervous when he said, "Luke and Rue were taken for tests?" Why isn't anyone in the ward?”

She instantly looked up at Leo, her wrath bubbling over as she said, "You bastard, Leo. Come at me if you have any problems. Why pick on my kids?”

Leo frowned. "What are you talking about?" He instantly got the point. "Where are the kids?"

She knew he wasn't lying because they had known each other for years. Her face turned white. "Please tell me you didn't have someone take them away," she said, grabbing his hand.

Leo furrowed his brow and held her hand. "Don't worry," he said. "I'll help you find the kids." He said as he took out his phone and called.

Conan could clearly hear the talk on this side of the line. He quickly told her, "I'll make sure people search right away." Don't worry. The kids will be okay.”

Mona put the phone down. At this important time, her mind slowly started to clear. When anything happened to the kids, she first thought it was Leo, but suddenly his reaction didn't seem to have anything to do with them. The ones who were so angry with her would try to hurt the kids.

"Look into Helen Shell, Sydney, and the Hunt family!" Mona quickly told him what to do as she got ready to phone Williams for help. But as soon as she unlocked her phone, a message from a number she didn't know showed up.

It was a picture of Luke and Rue strapped to chairs in a dark warehouse. There was another child next to them, but Mona didn't pay any attention to it. She saw Luke’s hurt hand hanging limply and Rue, whose face was crimson from fighting. It looked like her breath had stopped.

"Look up this phone number!"

Leo also saw the picture on her phone, and this made him angry. Mona was shaking as she sent the picture to Williams. He called her right away and said, "Miss Granger, what's this?"

"Someone has taken Luke and Rue. Tell all the new members of the company's tech department to do whatever it takes to find this number.”

Mona took a long breath to calm her emotions and said, "Keep this information to yourself. Everyone who finds a clue will get a million dollars.”

Frank was a little confused on the other end of the line, but he quickly agreed. Mona was still not at ease. She shared the picture and the number to her friends in France and asked them to give hackers a big prize and tell them to find the address in the picture.
