Chapter 21 Cooking together

Chapter 21 Cooking together
Henary still looked very panicked, still holding Leondra tightly as if he would never let her go.

"Don't go again, they'll definitely come," Henary muttered.

"I won't go again, just calm down. I'll definitely protect you," said Leondra.

"I've scared him, but it's okay, Henary is relying on me now," she continued silently, smiling slightly.

"Wait here for a moment, I'm going to use my powers to protect the house," said Leondra, stroking Henary's head.

Henary nodded and let go of Leondra.

After that, Leondra went outside her house to cast a protective barrier with her power.

Leondra was sure that the stupid Wolf would come soon. But now she didn't need to worry too much, because her plan was working perfectly.

"Now Henary won't trust that stupid Wolf," Leondra muttered with a slight smile.

Leondra went back inside, and Henary immediately approached her.

"Leondra, I'm really not calm right now. Should we go back to the forest?" asked Henary with a panicked expression.

"You have to calm down. Earl probably won't report directly to that stupid Wolf. If they had intended to kill you from the start, Almarjaf would have come with Earl," explained Leondra.

"You're right. It seems that Alpha Almarjaf also doesn't know that Earl came here to see me," replied Henary softly.

"Of course he doesn't know. If he knew Earl came here, Almarjaf definitely wouldn't let Earl do that. Earl came here because he's jealous of you," Leondra grumbled.

"Besides, what wife would willingly let her husband have children with another woman? Even if the man doesn't love her, no woman would willingly allow that," she continued.

"But do you know, Earl said earlier that Alpha Almarjaf already knew that Earl killed his mother. He wasn't angry because it was the only way for them to be together," explained Henary, holding back her tears.

"I told you before. And I also know that Almarjaf's parents really like you, because they know you will be very beneficial to the Wolf clan," said Leondra.

"I'm so stupid, Leondra. Because I thought that if Alpha Almarjaf found out about Earl's crime, he would be punished like I was," said Henary with a chuckle.

Henary had hopes, which made his heart ache even more because the reality was not what he had hoped for.

"I told you, wolves are very loyal to their partners and they are cunning. Maybe the two of them will do anything for their unity," said Leondra.

"Leondra. Now I really hate Almarjaf," said Henary with an emotional expression.

Hearing that, Leondra was of course very happy, but she tried to act normal. "You should have done that a long time ago," Leondra said softly.

Henary hugged Leondra again, surprising her. "Thank you for protecting me. You've been so good to me."

"You don't have to thank me. I did this because I love you very much," said Leondra as she hugged Henary back.

"Is Leondra really destined to be my true partner?" Henary wondered to himself.

Leondra smiled, knowing what Henary was thinking. "Of course, dear, we are meant to be together," Leondra said to herself.

"Earl didn't hurt you, did he? If you're still in pain, tell me. I'll treat it right away," said Leondra, holding Henary's shoulders to make sure he wasn't hurt.

"I'm not hurt, because you came just in time," replied Henary.

"Actually, my business wasn't finished, but I felt uneasy and couldn't stop thinking about you. So I decided to come home to make sure you were okay," explained Leondra.

"Even Leondra has a strong spiritual bond with me," thought Henary to himself.

"Now, don't think about those stupid Wolves. Let's just have fun and forget about them. How about it, do you agree?" asked Leondra.

"What are we going to do?" Henary replied, looking at Leondra.

"Having children seems fun," said Leondra casually.

Henary's face immediately changed, and he looked at Leondra with an annoyed expression.

"I need a serious answer, don't just say something meaningless," Henary grumbled.

"My words are very important," Leondra said firmly. It was as if she disagreed with Henary's words.

"But I don't want to have children, and I don't love you either," said Henary with an annoyed expression.

Leondra held her chest. Her face looked like she was in pain.

"What's wrong, Leondra? Did someone attack you?" asked Henary panickedly as he held Leondra.

"It hurts so much to hear what you just said," Leondra replied, looking at Henary.

"Leondra. I'm sorry," Henary said with a sad expression.

"I was just joking and teasing you. Don't take it too seriously," Leondra said with a smile, and also kissed Henary's lips softly.

"I'm already happy enough that you're by my side. I won't force you to rush into loving me," she continued, making Henary smile slightly.

"Thank you," replied Henary.

"Earlier, you asked me to have fun. I'm asking seriously, what do you want to do so I can forget about the Wolf?" she continued.

"How about we cook together? Do you want to?" asked Leondra.

"I want to! Let's go," replied Henary enthusiastically.

Henary took Leondra's hand and led her to the kitchen.

"What's your favorite food?" asked Henary.

"Anything with meat, I like it," replied Leondra with a smile.

"Okay. I understand you don't like vegetables," said Henary with a chuckle.

Leondra deliberately let Henary do the cooking because she knew it was one of his favorite activities.

"Actually, I wanted to say raw meat and fresh blood, but that would only scare you," Leondra said to herself with a soft chuckle.

"Why are you laughing?" Henary asked, looking at Leondra. Henary had been too focused on finding ingredients to cook.

"It's just funny, you look so enthusiastic, even though it's just cooking. It's nothing special," Leondra replied.

"I'm used to cooking, so cooking is something I enjoy," Henary said without looking at Leondra.

"But just this once, I'll let you cook. You're like a queen in this house. Cooking isn't your job," said Leondra.

"Okay. I understand," said Henary.

They enjoyed cooking together.
