Chapter 43
Micah POV
Even before the doctor came out with the news that Alyssa was gone. I knew that she was gone. I now know what the sharp pain meant. It meant that my soul mate was dead. I have been numb ever since I entered the car, I came out and did everything my family did but my mind was blank...
The doctor came out and her parents rushed to him but he just removed his mask and shook his head. My sweet bratty princess was gone and it was confirmed, that was when the first sob teared out of my throat and I held on tight to my mother, I felt people surrounding me but I could not pay attention to them. I am without my soul mate, my best friend. How would I survive? This is all her mother fault, normally I try not to point fingers and assign blame but I have to this time. It is all her fault, if she had let Alyssa do whatever she wants, we wouldn't even be in this town now. If she had not forced Alyssa to be her maid of honor, this wouldn't have happened, she would have spent her day with me and you can bet that I would protect her, I would have trade places with her if it had even came down to that. This is all her fault.
“This is all your fault.” I said with so much venom in my voice that my mother shifted away from me.
“Whose.” Her mother asks when she raised her head from her husband chest - where she has been crying at the sound- of my voice.
“You. It is all your fault. “I seethed. “Why did you have to kill your daughter, I left her in your care and you had her killed. “I shouted at her as she jumps at the sound of my raised voice.
“Micah “my mother started reaching for me again but I quickly left her side and stood up.
“No mom.” I snap at her. I don't want her to put her hands around me, I am holding on to my sanity with my anger and that would fade out if she put her hands around me to comfort me. “I don't want to close to anybody now.”
“It is not her fault. “My mother cries with tears pouring down her face.
“Then whose fault it is.”
“Nobody fault. It was an accident. Accidents happen every day. “My mother said placating but I have past the point of hearing.
“It is true. It is her fault. You know it, I know it even her husband knows it. “I yell but Mr. Winston shook his head.
“She didn't kill Alyssa. She was not the one driving the car. "
“No. “I replied “she was just the person who started the whole chain because she was selfish. Who left her husband then came back to marry him? She did. Who wanted Alyssa to be the maid of honor even though she never wanted to be one? She did. Who was the person driving Alyssa crazy by not choosing a color scheme on time and started making Alyssa life miserable? She! Who was the freaking person who, out of a fit of anger screamed that Alyssa should leave the store and not come back until she has the perfect shade of blue? She! Who was the person that Alyssa was going back to meet that she entered the road without looking? She!
She is the guilty party here and I am sure you all must be thinking she doesn't deserve this lashing out but she does. She killed my Alyssa because of her selfish nature. She is the reason why Alyssa is dead. You are to be blamed for Alyssa death and I am also to be blamed because I trusted you enough to leave her with you. If I had knew you would be incapable of protecting your own blood, although I don't see how you can protect your blood from yourself, I would have followed her everywhere like I do when I don't like the errand she is running. I am to be blamed for trusting you with my girl. You killed her. “I said as I broke down and collapse to my knees with my breathe coming out in small gasps as I clutch to my head in pain.
“Micah. “My mother exclaimed as she rushed to me and held me. She said a couple of more words but I didn't hear her, I was too lost in the pain I was feeling and my own misery. Others gathered around me too and although I didn't black out I was kind of unaware of what was going on around me.

When I woke up. Yes after a while of be in that state. A drip was connected to me and I slept off. I woke up to see myself in the hospital bed and I could hear voices outside my door. I removed my drip as I went to the door and opened it and saw my parents talking to the doctor.
“What is wrong with me?” I asked and their eyes immediately turned to me.
“Nothing Mr. Vegas. It was just an anxiety attack “the doctor said as he moved into the room with my parents on his trail.
“I never had one before.” I said with a confused look on my face.
“I am not surprised. Something must have happened recently to trigger one. “The doctor said as my parents froze.
“Yes. Someone close to me died. “I said with a sad smile on my face as tears gathered in my eyes but I used the back of my left hand to bat the meteors away.
“I am sorry for your loss. “The doctor and I nodded my acceptance. I don't trust myself to speak right now. "you need to keep yourself hydrated at all times and any time you feel out of sorts or like it is getting too much for you to handle. You need to do a breathing exercise to stabilize your breathing. I also heard from your parents that you finished chemotherapy about four months ago and you have not relapsed so I will congratulate you for that and also I would advise you see a therapist to deal with your loss and please deal with it soon. You might be in danger of a relapse if this continues to affect you. "
It was fair to say that I tone the doctor out after the said breathing exercise, it was taking too much of my mind power to think about Alyssa and also pay attention to what he was saying but still at the end of his speech I replied. “Got it.”
