Chapter 101 Save Nadia

Chapter 101 Save Nadia
DEAN

After concluding that that bastard had kidnapped Nadia, I immediately took my cell phone out of my pocket and dialed Aidan's number.

"Hello, Dean?" He answered on the second ring.

"Frank kidnapped my fiancée," I said, clenching my hands into fists.

"Wow!" Aidan exclaimed in surprise.

"What do you want me to do?"

"I want you to find the hole that worm is in," I said, hoping he would find them.

"That's easy," Aidan said.

"Just give me five minutes."

"Hurry up," I said impatiently.

"Calm down," Aidan sighed.

"He's..."

"Spill it!" I exclaimed nervously.

"In an abandoned warehouse near your company," he finished.

Near my company? – Any more information? – I asked, getting into my car.

"More information requires more time," Aidan replied.

"Do you want to wait?"

"No way," I said after starting the car and stepping on the gas.

"Let me handle it, but before I hang up the phone, I want to ask you a favor."

what.

"Call the police," I said, my voice serious.

"The police?" Aidan asked, confused.

"But I thought you..."

"That I was going to kill him?" I finished.

"Yes, and I will if the police don't arrive in time."

And so I ended the call and began searching for the warehouse where that bastard is holding my woman.

(...)

I run red lights and turn onto any street that is close to my company.

Sometimes I would get out of the car to go into some suspicious warehouse, but they were all empty.

Hours passed, and when I realized it, the sky had already darkened and the full moon shone over the buildings of New York.

"Shit!" I exclaimed, realizing I had already walked all the streets near my company.

"And now?" I murmured anxiously, quickly grabbing my cell phone.

But before I could dial any number, I spotted a small, dark alley a few meters from where my car was.

I started staring at it with a certain amount of suspicion, and soon found myself getting out of the car and heading towards the unfamiliar alley.

I rushed inside and ran down the narrow corridor, which was wide enough for a police van to pass through.

With each step I took, my intuition told me I was on the right path, so much so that I could already feel my heart racing with the hope that I would finally find her.

When I reached the end of the alley, I noticed a small street to the right, and looking at it from the front, I spotted an old warehouse with no sign of being in operation.

"Finally," I murmured, feeling a weight lift from my shoulders, but the relief vanished as soon as I heard a scream.

And it wasn't just any scream, it was the scream of the woman I love.

Nadia! – I shouted, running towards the warehouse, and in a few seconds I was already inside.

I jumped over the debris in the path and followed the sound of my woman's desperate voice.

The louder the screams became, the more my anger consumed me, to the point that I couldn't see clearly, and everything worsened as soon as I found her.

She was lying face down on the floor while that bastard Frank kicked her mercilessly.

Nadia! – I exclaimed, letting my anger consume my body.

All the following movements were made with the sole intention of killing the cowardly son of a bitch.

First I lunged at him, and he widened his eyes in disbelief at my presence, but my fury prevented his brain from processing what was happening, and I quickly punched him in the mouth.

Then I unleashed a series of blows aimed at every part of his rotting body, where I smiled with satisfaction at all the blood gushing from every hole in him.

I continued punching and kicking him with full force, so much so that I could feel my fists raw, but my pain was nothing compared to the agonizing pain he was surely feeling.

My anger laughed ecstatically at the power it held over me.

No one will stop me, because nothing else matters except getting revenge on this worm.

That's what was going through my head as I laughed hysterically at Frank's condition.

He was unconscious, his body mangled, yet his chest still rose and fell with his breathing.

"Die, you son of a bitch!" I yelled, wrapping my hands around his neck in an attempt to suffocate him.

But something unexpected happened...

The hem of my shirt was tugged, and when I looked at the person responsible, I was met with a pair of pleading green eyes.

"Stop," Nadia murmured weakly.

"Don't do that."

I continued to stare into my woman's distressed eyes, and slowly loosened my grip on her hands.

"Don't become a murderer," she said, crying.

"Don't leave us."

And that's when I noticed she was clutching her belly, as if trying to protect our little seed.

"My Love..." I murmured, feeling several tears streaming down my face.

"I will never leave you."

And so I let go of Frank's neck and hugged her, who, without warning, fainted in my arms.

Nadia? – I shook her gently. –

My love!

I turned her around and saw several bruises all over her body, but the worst part was seeing the bleeding between her legs.

"No!" I screamed in terror.

"Not our child!"

I pressed my face against her belly and began to murmur various incoherent pleas, begging God that our baby would not die.

And as if by divine intervention, I heard the police siren along with the ambulance siren.

"Sir?" a police officer asked.

"Are you alright?"

"No," I said anxiously.

"She needs to go to the hospital."

The police officer looked at me and then at Frank's beaten body.

"Did you do this?" the police officer asked.

"Yes," I replied seriously.

Is he the kidnapper?

Yes. – I repeated.

Was it self-defense?

I took a deep breath before lying.

Yes.

Is he dead?

I don't think so. – I kind of hoped it was true.

"Indeed," said the policeman after feeling Frank's pulse.

"He's alive."

Those three words made me sigh with relief; after all, I hadn't become a murderer.

"Bring the stretcher," the policeman said over the radio.

"We have two wounded."

"Yes, sergeant," a man replied over the radio.

"And we arrested a suspect; she was trying to escape through the back."

A suspicion?

"Very well, officer," said the policeman.

"We'll interrogate her as soon as we get to the station."

I stood there frozen for a few seconds, wondering who this suspect they were talking about might be, but I decided to leave that to the police and turned my attention back to my wife.

The next few minutes were spent by the nurses placing Nadia and Frank on stretchers and taking them to the ambulance, where I followed them in my car.

Upon arriving at the hospital, I hurriedly got out of the car and followed the nurses who were carrying Nadia down the corridors.

"How is she?!" I asked, running after them.

"Her vital signs are stable," one of the nurses replied.

"And the baby?" I asked anxiously.

"We don't know yet," the same nurse replied.

"That's why we're taking her for an ultrasound."

"I'll go too," I stated, trying to enter the room with them.

"No," said another nurse, blocking my way.

"You can't go in."

"But...!" I tried to ask, but the nurse interrupted me.

"We'll let you know about the baby's condition as soon as we get the results," the nurse said seriously.

"Please don't insist, otherwise we'll have to take you out of the hospital."

"Okay," I agreed reluctantly, and began pacing back and forth.

And as if in an inner plea, I closed my eyes and began to repeat it mentally.

They'll be okay, I know they will...
