Chapter 0048:Someone To Talk To.

I'm not doing it!”
Anne yelled over the phone to her director, just this morning Mia has came over to her house with the news that she's collaborating with Logan on a new project, as they were the chosen model for a top company, a position that other companies are fighting tooth and nail to get, but she was easily letting it go because Logan was the one chosen to collaborate with her.
Had it been Xavier was a model, she wouldn't have had to put up with this. Yesterday, she came across an anonymous post about her relationship with Logan.
Everyone was looking forward to knowing if they will still go back to being a couple, that was the most hilarious post that she has ever seen. It was as if they weren't convinced that she's dating Xavier, and it couldn't be helped because Xavier wasn't helping out either.
Logan is a famous model, that everyone would like to use to bring out the name of their company to the world. But what she doesn't understand is why her agency was still acting as if they were still struggling to be on top, while they were already there.
Although Logan's agency was the first in the market, they are the second. They will always be competitions but what she didn't understand is her director trying to start up something between her and the very same Logan, who had almost killed her.
She could still recall years back when the two agencies went to court, because of their issues. Yet, she couldn't understand the need to repeat history because she's scared.
Logan is the kind of person people think he is, and what makes it worse is that she's ashamed to tell Xavier all about it. Not that he cared because he hasn't asked, since he's not the kind to meddle into people's business and besides, he wasn't around when it happened.
Yet, that doesn't change the fact that she could still talk to him, and tell him that Logan has threatened her about dating him.
At first she didn’t take the threat to heart, she’s not a child anymore but there’s no way this collaboration with him just spangled up on its own. Logan has something to do with it and that’s not playing fair.
“Anne, you need to calm down…” Director Vic said over the phone, trying to get the raging girl to stop talking and hear him out, but unfortunately there was nothing calm about the situation.
The talk about Logan is sensitive to the young lady, and on no account would he go ahead to agree in anything without talking it out to her first. It’s time to change agency.
Anne thought to herself.
“There’s nothing to be calm about, Vic. You know that nothing good comes out of linking me up with that bastard. You know that yet why do this?” Anne nearly cried.
Ever since her scandal with Logan, the young girl has done everything possible to gain back the awareness back to her. Nobody believed her side of the story, they tagged Logan the victim and she was left for whatever it was they said about her.
Her hard work was what brought her to this stage and when she thinks her worst nightmare is over, here he was again, trying to gain an entrance into her life and that’s what she won’t take, again!
“You need to hear me out, Anne. Stop acting like a child, this is business. Nobody is telling you to get back with him, it’s all about business my love.”Director Vic said, laughing.
It was fun to him but it wasn’t with her. “Well, I’m still not doing it, find some other model.”
“Or maybe you can come to the office and we can sort this all out, I will explain everything, Anne. I promise you are not getting back with Logan, you need to fix the public’s view about you both, it was meant to happen, don't act like you don’t know how it’s been run.” He said.
“I will expect your calls when you are coming over, but i want you to bear it in mind that we’re securing that deal and it’s going to boost your fame.” Director Vic said all he wanted to say.
But Anne doesn’t want to boost her fame especially with Logan’s name attached to it, Xavier is enough.
The call ended even before she could say anything else, but one thing was clear to the young lady. Nobody cared about her feelings, Victor was there in the hospital while she was receiving treatment.
She had two broken ribs, an under eye cut, busted lips! Name it, yet all of that was gone with the wind at the mention of money. If her parents find out that Logan was even in the same room with her, all hell will let loose.
“He doesn’t understand anything!” She yelled, throwing her phone to the couch and that was when Mia came out of the kitchen with the breakfast that she had prepared for her.
“I can’t do this, not again.” She cried, touching her temple to ease the headache that was forming but what’s done has been done.
“I will get going now.” Mia said, picking up her bag from the chair before leaving. There was no need to say anything because her opinion won’t help matters. She’s just her assistant and her job is to do whatever that is asked of her.
After the door closed, A knock was heard on her door and she wondered if Mia was stupid enough, to forget the passcode that she told her minutes ago.
She changed everything, her passcode?
Anything at all that Logan could use to track her down or gain entrance into her life.
“I just told you that moments ago…” she slurred her words, only to stop when she saw who she wasn’t expecting, Xavier.
“Babe?”
Not that she isn’t happy to see him, it’s just that it’s rare for him to come see her. She could barely assume if he remembered where she lived.
Her eyes watered at the sight of him, her emotions getting a hold of her.
“Is this a bad time?” Xavier asked, not understanding what was going on with her, she didn’t pick his call moments ago and now she’s acting like she isn’t excited to see him.
But before he could say anything, she leaped into his arms. “Thanks for coming, I really needed someone to talk to.”
She cried.
She needed someone to talk to, while he was here for something else but he let her do her thing. She doesn’t look alright and that bothered him for the very first time.
