ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE

Dianna's POV

Neil walked into my room, I looked at him feeling so pathetic but I shouldn't be making things hard for him. He's more heartbroken than I am, I quickly wiped off my tears and walked up to him.

"Neil, whatever you decide I'll follow. But I want this please, I want to be your wife and I mean it." I said to him.

Neil looked at me feeling so confused. I could tell her didn't have a decision yet. He has grown to love me so much that he wouldn't want to let me go easily.

"Have I always been a tool for you to get back your town? Have you ever even loved me?" He asked me, looking so pathetic.

"I do, I sure do." I replied, but I can tell he wanted all the truth to make things easier for him.

"I can't lie, I had an affair with him, but that was before I began to fall for you. And you aren't far from the truth when you asked if I was using you, but that was earlier, things are different now." And so I explained to him.

There was an awkward silence as we both stared at each other, I could tell a lot of things were running in Neil’s mind.

"I'm going on with the wedding, but only on a condition." He said finally to cut the air of the awkward silence.

"And what could this condition be?" I asked anxiously.

"If Levi or whatever his name is, should come back here again for you, I'm going to kill him myself. And if I find out that you cheat on me in our marriage, it's over." He said

I can understand the divorce part, that's very logical and reasonable, what I couldn't quite get was the killing part. For all I care, I don't want Levi and Neil engaging in any battle against themselves especially when it's about me.

"Okay, I accept whatever you want. As long as you don't call off this wedding." I just had to agree to this to build his confidence and trust in me.

But I've got work to do. I'll have to reach out to Levi and warn him never to confront me again, especially at my husband's house. I quickly sent a message across to him with the help of one of the guards. I told them to tell him how serious this could be, his life is on the line, and I prayed they delivered the message the way I wanted it to go and Levi understands and respects my decision to marry Neil over him.

Levi's POV.

As soon as I got the message, I was heartbroken and angry at the same time, I scattered my living room in anger. I was so confused on what to do at the moment.

I went out to a bar to drink away my sorrows and think of a better way to resolve this and have my Dianna for myself.

Few hours into the sobriety of the night, my eyes have been dulled and my thoughts not in one place. I thought vampires don't get this high, or I guess it's my human side that's into the drink.

Immediately I got a call on my phone, I picked up the call, it was a stranger, he offered to help me from my situation and reclaim my Dianna. His suggestion immediately brought me back to my senses.

"I'm ready tonight if you are. I don't want that wedding taking place today, it's few hours to morning already." I said with newfound determination as I looked at the ticking clock at the bar, it was a few minutes to 6:00 am.

I staggered out of the bar to get ready for the plan ahead. I just got a call from someone offering to help with men to fight Neil.

I immediately left the bar and I quickly met up with the men of this strange helper. Neil can't threaten me with my life and expect to go scot free, I'm going to make sure no one of us ends up with Dianna if that's how it's going to be.

I'm clearly aware that Dianna may not like this, she might in fact hate me for life. I'm just fighting for my pride, I don't care who Neil is but no one should be threatening others with their lives.

Dianna POV

I woke up so early, I don't know if it's the anticipation of the wedding or anxiety from the tension between Neil and Levi. I just want everything to go back to normal after today.

It was the early hours of the morning but the sky was still a little bit dark. I went out to the event hall, and surprisingly, I met a strange old lady wearing a black cape. I could barely see her face, so I walked closer to her to see her face clearly and asked her what she could be doing here.

"My daughter please don't move any closer." The old lady said in her old cracky voice.

"There's a gemstone on the ground below you, take it for it will be helpful to you." The old lady said pointing to the ground just before me.

I looked down and I indeed saw a beautiful gemstone. I quickly picked it up as the old lady had ordered.

"That'll help in the coming moments, there's a looming chaos and war, and that would help you greatly." The old lady said.

" What do you mean? And who are you to start with?" I asked the old lady in confusion.

"That's not important now, if you don't want to lose the most important people of your life, use that. It'll reset your life and theirs, the war and conflict would end if you use that, but at the cost of your memories." The old lady said.

" I know you've many questions to ask. But one last thing before I go, if you don't use it, everyone here might not live to see the next day and I mean." She said as she walked out, as I ran towards her immediately she left the hall, I couldn't find her outside or anywhere.
