Episode 19
"Excuse me, do you happen to know where he is?" Jesse asked.
I paused for a moment, trying to recall any information about his location.
Unfortunately, the only thing that came to mind was the memory of being attacked in my home and waking up in their hideout.
I was subjected to brutal torture and left in a coma before they eventually took me out of their cottage. Therefore, I don't have any knowledge of their current whereabouts."
"I'm sorry, I don't know where they are," I replied, meeting Alpha Jesse's gaze.
He turned to glance at the other man before nodding and returning his attention to me.
"Don't worry, you're safe now," he assured me, giving a gentle tap on my back.
"Just relax and take the time you need to recover. Remember, you're one of us, so there's no need to be afraid," Alpha Jesse said, to which I nodded my agreement. He then looked back at the other man.
"You, Silva, let's have a talk," he said to him before walking away, and Silva quickly followed.
As they left, I found myself alone with two beautiful girls. The one sitting to my right caught my eye; she was stunning.
I couldn't help but stare at her shyly, and to my surprise, she moved closer and sat down beside me. I was taken aback, wondering what she was doing.
But then she smiled at me and extended her hand for a handshake.
"Hi, I'm Lucia, the Alpha's daughter," she introduced herself as she extended her hand. I quickly shook her hand with a smile on my face.
"I'm Logan, and..." I started to say, but she cut me off.
"No need to stress yourself, I was here when you introduced yourself to my father," she said with a reassuring smile. "Okay," I replied.
"Anyway, this is Arianna," she said, pointing to the other girl.
"That's my best friend," she introduced, and we shook hands.
"It's nice to meet you," the friend said, and I nodded in agreement. "Nice to meet you too," I replied.
"Um, Logan, would you mind telling me more about your encounter with the enemies?" Isabella asked.
To be honest, I wasn't interested in reliving that painful experience by recounting it.
"I'm sorry, I can't discuss that with you. It's too painful for me to relive the experience of watching my mother and sister die in front of me," I said with tears welling up in my eyes.
Isabella quickly realized that it was too much for me to handle, so she interrupted me, saying, "Hey, it's okay. Please don't cry. Just forget about it. Things will get better soon."
I turned to look at her, tears still in my eyes.
"I don't think things can ever get better until I get my revenge," I said firmly. The room fell silent for a moment as she processed my words, but then she approached me and took hold of my hands.
Gently wiping away my tears with her right hand, she spoke reassuringly. "Listen, I understand that you need to seek revenge, but it's important to be patient and wait for the right moment." Her words brought a glimmer of hope, and I tried to compose myself.
Despite my efforts, the pain was still evident as tears continued to stream down my face.
"It's okay," she said softly, wiping away my tears before gently placing my head in her lap. I couldn't understand why she was showing me such kindness, despite me being a stranger.
Perhaps it was just luck that brought us together, but as long as I had survived the blood curse, I was determined to exact my revenge on Rubin. I would make sure to rip out his heart and show it to him before he drew his last breath.

It was already late, and I found myself in my room watching a movie. Since I arrived here, every day seemed to be filled with new experiences and enjoyment. Was he doing all of this to console me for my lost family? I knew that wasn't the case. He treated me kindly every time I visited, and it was clear that he was just a genuinely nice person.
I felt restless as I watched the movie, and a strange feeling washed over me. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Eventually, I got up from my bed and opened the window to look outside. I stared at the moon, and as a gentle breeze flowed in, I felt a sense of peace.
Deep down, I knew that my mother and sister were safe. It even seemed like they were doing okay wherever they were.
I smiled and closed my eyes, relishing the fresh air. Suddenly, I heard the sound of my door opening, and I knew that someone had entered my room. I didn't react right away, instead, I continued to enjoy the breeze for a few more moments before slowly opening my eyes.
To my surprise, it was Zyphyrine standing in front of me. I was taken aback because I hadn't asked her to come, and I wondered why she had entered my room at this hour.
I cautiously approached her, taken aback by her foolish behavior of staring at the ground as if she had lost her way.
Confused and frustrated, I asked in a stern tone, "I don't understand. What on earth are you doing in my room? You should be asleep in your own room by now. So, why are you here?"
She explained that Sydney had sent her to spend some time with me, but sensing my displeasure, she suggested we take a walk in the woods instead. However, I immediately erupted in anger and yelled at her.
"You must be seriously ill! Didn't you understand when I told you to stop coming near me?" I shouted at her, causing her to kneel down immediately.
I was still trying to comprehend what was happening.
"I don't understand why you're kneeling down," I asked her.
"Please, if I've done something wrong that makes you keep rejecting me, Liam, please tell me," she pleaded.
"I am willing to make things right. Please tell me what it is. I have tried to make you happy, but I don't know what I've done wrong that makes you hate me so much," she said, tears streaming down her face. I just stared at her, unsure of what to say.
As I watched her plead with me, I couldn't understand why she would force herself on someone who clearly did not want her around.
"Please, tell me what I can do to make things right. I love you so much, and it's not an act. I know what my wolf feels for you. You're my mat--" she tried to say, but I didn't let her finish the word before interrupting her.
"I'm not! I hate that word of yours! I don't feel anything for you, so I'm rejecting you, okay?" I shouted, causing her to freeze and stare at me with a serious expression, as if I had committed a heinous crime.
But I was only defending myself. I couldn't allow someone I didn't like to force themselves on me.
"I don't like you, okay? Just get up and leave my room now!" I shouted, my voice ringing out loudly.
"Please, Liam, I still want you..." She started pleading again, but I felt frustrated and unsure of how to make her understand.
I didn't know why I had to resort to force for her to listen, so I pushed her out of my room and locked the door behind her.

having gained some insight from the young boy's explanation. "Do you think Rubin was responsible for Ulva's kidnapping?" I asked Silva, who took a moment to consider before nodding in agreement.
"Very well," I said, stepping closer to Silva. "We must hunt down Rubin and find him, wherever he may be."
"Are you perhaps reacting too quickly?" Silva suggested, as I stared at him, attempting to comprehend his meaning.
"I'm not sure I understand," I responded, as Silva exhaled deeply and clasped his hands together.
"Last time we encountered Rubin, it was incredibly violent and resulted in numerous casualties on both sides," he explained, taking another deep breath.
"Another attack could lead to a full-blown war, and we still don't know for sure if he is aligned with Ulva. It's best to conduct a thorough investigation before taking any action against him, given how dangerous he can be." As Silva spoke, I took a moment to survey our surroundings and pondered his words. Ultimately, I came to agree with his assessment - further investigation was indeed necessary.
"You're absolutely right, but I need you to take this matter even more seriously. Do everything in your power to gather the accurate information we require," I instructed sternly, as he lowered his head respectfully.
"Understood, Alpha," he replied before exiting the room.
