Chapter 88 88
Q
"You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Alexa raised her hands, folding it under her bursts as usual.
Liam stared at her.
"You asked me questions, I answered. It was simple." He muttered, his eyes not leaving her, till she felt uncomfortable.
"Stop staring at me with those eyes." She said, glaring at him.
"What eyes?" He asked.
"The eyes you are using now." She raised her fingers to fake poke into his eyes, but he caught him, and she halted in her steps, her eyes widening with an inch.
"I don't think I could ever look at anyone that way. When they see you, it's hard to look away." He muttered, interlocking his fingers with hers.
"You....can't do this here. It is National Fashion Department." She muttered, gulping down.
"What can I do?" He smirked.
"Anything. Don't even dare to touch me." She hissed and pulled her away, walking away from him quickly.
"Alex....God, she spoiled this beautiful moment." He muttered.
"Alexandra!!" He rushed after her quickly.
"You have nerves coming here." Miller muttered as his walking rod touched the stairs strategically.
"It's my brother's house. Is there a reason not to come?"
"You haven't apologized for trying to kill Liam when he was young, what makes you think I would want you in my house. Get out, Reed."
"I'm not leaving. I can't if things don't pan out." Reed said, getting up. Miller's eyes narrowed at him in anger and then he turned to his wife.
"Antonia, the next time you let this man into this house..." He hit his stick angrily as the end of his warning and then climbed the stairs.
"You heard him, he doesn't want you here." Antonia shook her head.
"Why? I'm just trying to settle things with him." Reed said seriously, anger overwhelming him.
"If you really want to settle things, you shouldn't be angry right now. Maybe you go and come back later." Antonia persuaded. Reed gave a sigh and then left the house. Antonia picked up her phone which had been ringing in her pocket for a while.
"Why did he come to see dad?" It was Liam's voice.
"You can't even greet your mother a good day, you brat." Antonia snapped.
"Good day mum." Liam replied and Antonia sighed.
"I don't really know. But do you Reed has come to cause trouble again this time? He always has something up his sleeves whenever he comes here." Antonia said with a bothered tone.
"Don't be disturbed by him. I'm pretty sure he would be able to do nothing." Liam said.
"That's not the problem. I'm worried about the kid, Alice. If her father keeps acting this way, when would Alice learn? She even has to make friends with he family, doesn't she?" Antonia asked.
"Not all kids are like their parents." Liam sighed, "I have to check something out right now, mom. I'll call you later."
"Say hi to Alexa for me." Antonia quickly chipped in before the call could end. She hissed when he didn't reply and ended it. Such a spoilt son acting all like a grown up.
She sighed, placing her hands on her hips as she stared around the house, "I'm kinda bored, why don't I give Louisa a call? We should hangout." She wheezed out.
"He just wouldn't let me see him." Reed said seriously as he removed his shoes, resting on the cushion chair.
"You should leave him alone." His wife, Sarah chipped in and Reed's head turned slowly to look at her.
"What do you mean leave him alone? I'm his brother." He snapped.
"Well, if you wanted to make amends, you would have but instead you dissappeared out of the country for two years. What did you expect? Even your daughter almost forgot your face."
"What the hell did you say?" Reed stood up angrily, raising his hand to slap Sarah but his hand hand stopped when he saw Alice staring at him from the stairs. He wrapped them into a fist and stared at Sarah.
"You should train your lips, woman." He said and walked up the stairs. Alice's hands tightened on the stairs as she made way for him to pass.
"Mom." She muttered, walking down the stairs. She stood in front of her mother's front.
"Why did you let him come back?" She asked, her eyes cold as she stared at Sarah.
"Alice, don't say that. He is your father. He is meant to be here for you." Sarah said.
"But all he does is hit you when he is home. So why did you let him come back. Our lives were almost perfect with him gone!" She shot, a tear escaping from her eyes. She couldn't hold it in and she began to sob. At six years, Alice was no longer attached to home.
Sarah pulled her into a hug and patted her back slowly, as she tried to calm her daughter down. Alice was right. She could take care of them both with her family's money but separating would cost them the news casting which she didn't want to happen. It could cause a dent on her family's name.
"I'm sorry, Alice. You shouldn't have a father like him. It is all my fault." She muttered slowly, patting her daughter's back. This was going to be a long long holiday for Alice, well, unless they took a break. Hawaii.
