Chapter 16 Sixteen
Stella scoffed the moment the name Alexandra left his lips.
"Alexandra?" She muttered, rolling her eyes as she turned out of the office angrily.
"I'm really sorry about this," Liam apologized.
"Don't be sorry to me, Liam. Just make sure that stupid girlfriend of yours doesn't come to my office anymore," she shot.
"I'm really sorry about that .."
"You can also leave," she directed her hand towards the door with a smile on her face and Liam sighed, before walking out.
"I'm sorry," he apologized again at the door and finally left.
"Ma'am," Doreen walked into the office and stood in front of Alexa's table, "I'm really sorry about this ma'am. I tried to make her leave but she wasn't listening to me," she apologized with a frustrated face.
"Don't worry about it, Doreen. Next time she comes, just call the securities," Alexandra smiled and she nodded.
"You are five minutes late for the meeting," Doreen informed and Alexandra gasped, "I totally forgot," she muttered and immediately picked her phone and bag, walking out of the office. Doreen immediately followed behind her with the files.
"Good morning, Miss Chapman," the designers greeted and Alexandra smiled pleasantly before taking her seat at the head of the table.
"How are we all doing today?" she asked, her voice bright.
"We are doing well ma. I'm pleased to inform you that the Lavender dress has fifty orders already."
"Thank you Remi. We'll leave it at that," Alexandra said as she opened the magazines to check the new designs which the designers brought today.
"We'll leave it at that?" Carol asked, "but the dresses are actually making a lot of income as it is."
Alexandra raised her eyes to look at her, "They are rare dresses, for the top. You are to tell the public we have only fifty pieces and then they'll pay any amount to get one of the dresses. That's what's exquisite," Alexandra smiled and Carol nodded.
"I now understand ma'am," she said, nodding her head more.
"There's a company who copy the designs of our dresses, Doreen. It has come to my notice," Alexandra said calmly, as she dropped the magazine on the current page she was staring at.
"How did you know that, ma'am?" Doreen's eyes widened, "I only wanted to tell you when I found out what company it was."
"Did you find it out?" Alexandra asked and Doreen nodded, "Boston just sent it to me."
She placed the tablet in front of Alexandra and Alexandra scoffed, swiping across her already copied dresses. They made it seem like she was the one who really made them, whereas she wasn't.
"SH Apparels," Doreen said and Alexandra scoffed again, folding her fingers in front of each other.
"How come I still got this information before the IT? How had they copied so many of our dresses before this arrives?" Alexandra snapped, shaking the tablet in her hand as she dropped it on the table. Doreen placed her hands underneath it because it could finally hit the table loudly.
"Stella Hills," she breathed out slowly, before letting out a chuckle, "Doreen, we are going to bait them. Create a new design on our computer and leak the design out," she smirked.
"Yes ma'am," Doreen nodded attentively.
"By the way, who created this?" She raised the magazine up at the page she was looking at and a young guy raised his finger up slowly.
"I'm the one, ma'am," he said quietly.
"Blue." She called out his name and he nodded, a smile broke out of her lips as she stared at him enthusiastically.
"Your work is.... excellent, Blue," she praised as she shook her head, "I'm going to take you in and train you personally."
"Wow, really ma'am?" Blue asked excitedly and she nodded her head, making him jump in excitement,
"Thank you so much. I'm really grateful," he said.
After the meeting, Alexandra stretched her neck tiredly as she groaned, "Gosh, I'm so tired."
"Do you want me to help you pick up the kids?" Doreen asked as she walked to the table and dropped Alexandra's bag on it.
"Would you?" Alexandra asked doe eyed and Doreen smiled, nodding her head.
"Thank you so much. I can't imagine having another assistant, except from you, Doreen. You are such a darling." She said.
"Thank you ma'am. I'll go now," Doreen smiled politely as she walked out of the office and got into the elevator.
Alexandra walked into the other room in her with her phone as she removed her shoes and laid on the bed, to relax for just a second.
She had no idea when she slept off tiredly until her phone started ringing loudly. It rang for three times before she finally realized and woke up, picking the phone.
"Yeah," she muttered lazily.
"Ma'am, your kids are nowhere to be found!"
"What?"
