Chapter 15 Fifteen
Alexandra blinked slowly, "Stella Hills?"
That was her husband's....no, Liam's fiancee. She scoffed lightly as she held the phone tightly.
"What exactly does she wants?" She asked.
"She refuses to tell us and just demands for your attention." Doreen said, her voice laced with frustration and Alexandra took a deep breath.
"Tell her I'll be there."
"Are you sure about that?" Doreen asked, unbelievably. Alexandra has always refused to show herself to others in the business world. Would she really break that rule for this frustrating woman?
"Yes, Doreen. I'll be there." Alexandra replied before ending the call.
She took another hour to get the children ready and take them to school, before going to her favorite coffee shop for a cup of coffee.
"Madam?" She heard the familiar voice and she turned. As expected, Eugene.
"Eugene?" She gave a small smile as Eugene gasped and covered his mouth to hide his shock and surprise. He didn't know he'll meet her as quick as this and definitely not here.
"Mrs Jordans!" He exclaimed excitedly and a sentimental look passed by her face. He realized quickly.
"I'm so sorry. I forgot." He hit his mouth, "But how have you been doing?" He asked quickly and she smiled lightly.
"I'm fine, Eugene and what about you?"
"This is the best I can be right now. I never expected to meet you. You know when I found out you were boss of Velvet Vixen, my jaw dropped. I was so shocked and...." He paused, "how are your kids?"
"You know about my kids too?" She raised a brow. Of course he did, he would be Liam's henchman right now. She didn't hate Eugene but she didn't like him either, he had once brought a divorce letter to her and actually, they had never been close to begin with.
"I'm sure you did your check." She nodded her head, when he couldn't come up with anything.
"Anyway, I have to run right now and I'll meet you later." She smiled and walked out. Eugene sighed slowly, knowing this meeting had just taken a drastic turn. She was so different from what he remembered in the past and he didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
On getting to the company, Doreen immediately took her bag, before they got into the elevator.
"Miss Hills is still here?" Alexandra asked and Doreen nodded.
"She refused to leave no matter how many times I to take her leave. Especially when it was over one hour."
"Maybe she's come to plead for Liam, you never know." She replied and Doreen pursed her lips.
"What time is the meeting with the designers?" Alexandra asked and Doreen switched on her tab.
"It's by ten o'clock ma'am." She replied.
"That means I only have about twenty minutes to spare. That's okay." She nodded her head and stepped out immediately the elevator came to a stop.
It led directly to the Doreen's office, before they walked in through a door that widened into Alexandra's.
"Good morning, Miss Hills." She greeted as she walked towards her chair and Stella immediately turned towards her, a smile plastered on her face.
"Good morning, mis.." She blinked, getting up quickly, "Alex... Alexandra?"
~~~
"Boss, boss, boss!" Eugene rushed into the office, disturbing Liam's already disrupted peace. Liam didn't reply, he just kept on staring over the skyscraper building which he could see from his window, 'Velvet Vixen'.
"Boss!" He called hurriedly again.
"What is it, Eugene?" Liam scowled.
"Boss, Miss Hills is currently at Velvet Vixen."
"What did you just say?" Liam shot.
"Miss Hills is currently at Velvet Vixen!"
"Gosh." Liam rushed out of the building and into the elevator, stomping his foot aggressively.
"Boss, let me..."
"I'll drive myself." He snatched the key from Eugene's fingers and got into the car, roaring the engine to life. The tires rolled and the car sped out of the company, leaving a trial of dust on his wake.
"What the hell is that wtch trying to pull?" Eugene frowned his face, folding his hands.
"Miss Hills." Alexandra relaxed on her chair as she stared at Stella with a pleasant smile, "For what reason did you give me a visit?" She asked.
"Is she the boss? Are you guys just pulling something on me?" Stella turned to Doreen, snarling, "I asked you to get me the boss, right now!"
"You still have such an horrible character as far as I remember." Alexandra said and nodded to Doreen to take her leave.
"What do you want?" She checked her watch, "I don't have much time to spare."
"Wow. I can say I didn't expect this. You really made a huge comeback, Alexandra." Stella clapped her hands, "So from the dirt poor lady you are, you flew to the sky and achieved Velvet Vixen?"
"I'm glad you see Velvet Vixen as an achievement." Alexandra said indifferently, "but if that's all you came to yap about, I sincerely don't need it."
"You came back from revenge, huh?" Stella placed her hands on the table, leaning in, "What do you want from Liam this time? You want to snatch him away like before?"
"Snatch him? Liam?" Alexandra chuckled.
"How dare you laugh at me?"
"Stella, if you were wise, you would tell your fiance to stop rushing to my company with papers that I would never sign. That's your job, not mine and revenge, I'll definitely take my revenge and I'm not sure you'll be left without a scar from the burn." She said threateningly.
"No, Alexa, you lie! If you think Liam would come running to you, just because you came back, then you are joking!" Stella snapped.
"Actually, I think he is running right now." Alexandra smirked as she stared at the glass wall surrounding her office and there he was, rushing into the office.
"Alexandra!" He called the moment the door flew open.
