Chapter 112 112
Daisy's mom scoffed lightly and smirked as she got into her car, driving off. She wouldn't dare to exchange words with Alexandra not when that could easily jeopardize Daisy's future with her kids. The kids would sort each other out.
Alexa smiled softly at Daisy and looked at the kids, "I didn't't believe you guys could stand up like that and defend your friend. It's really beautiful." She said and Jade smiled at her.
"Why did you come to school after daddy dropped us?" Jace asked immediately.
"Your daddy forgot to collect your results for the session. It's being shared to the parents today. Jade, let see how well you will perform." Alexa said. She didn't really have to worry about Jace for the time being because he was a smart head but Jade....
"Mommy. You know a lot have been happening these past months. I have been really stressed before my exams so don't get too scared when you see my result. Don't get mad either or angry. Just smile and pat me on the head once if I really failed badly." Jade said and Alexa shook her head tiredly as she walked away, leaving the kids behind.
"I can help you study." Daisy said quietly, holding her bag strap tight. Jade glanced at her,
"Jace and Salma already tried. Education isn't meant for everyone." She shrugged in reply and walked away, jumping as she did. Daisy smiled as she followed her but when Jace cleared his throat, she stopped and turned to him,
"Does that mean you are not leaving the school anymore?" He asked and Daisy nodded.
"Since my mom knows about my friendship with you guys, it might be hard for her to give up on it." She said.
"That's cool. It's actually an advantage. I'll have been hurt if it was something else that we wouldn't be able to fix." He said and she pouted her lips slowly.
"That's my mom for you. She collected my results today and she was a little angry. I fell behind someone for the first time." She said.
"Who?"
"You don't mean it." Alexandra muttered with pure shock as she stared at the two kids results in front of her.
Jade had for the first time ever gotten the first position in the session. It was practically impossible. She was totally shocked. Her body was trembling so hard that she chuckled, a gasp escaping right afterwards. Jade was totally..... wonderful.
"Your two kids came first in their different classes. Jade's improvement cannot just be left this way. She deserves a gift."
Alexandra's head immediately snapped back to the kids request, Disney land.
Oh no, she didn't want to go. But it was just to wonderful to see Jade at the top of her class. She relayed her thanks to the teacher and walked out of the office, rushing to Jade's classroom. Jade's eyes immediately widened as she saw her mother at the door post. Her lips curved downstairs, seeing Alexandra's hard face.
"Come on out." Alexandra waved her hands in a pulling manner and Jade stood up, walking towards Alexandra.
It took a moment and then Alexandra patted her hair twice. Oh no, Jade thought. She was probably the last in her class.
"How did you do it? Gosh, you had it in you, Jade. You've pretty been hiding it all these times, isn't it?" Alexandra suddenly smiled.
"What's going on?" Jade asked totally bothered as she looked at Alexa. Truth be told, she'd read like crazy. When Alexa was stressed by them forcing her to be back with Liam, she wanted to relieve her by the exams. It was a long term plan, but oh well and then the accident had happened, boosting her morale more and then the trip to Disney. It was just one stone and a million birds this time around. So she'd worked crazy but after every exams came the incessant headache that refused to leave her head no matter how much.
"You have been granted a trip to Disney, Jade. I can't deny how much you made me impressed." As Alexa spoke, she handed Jade her results and Jade checked it. Her eyes brightened up in shock in a moment but suddenly darkened.
"This is practically impossible." She muttered.
"Why?" Alexandra asked.
"Well, I knew I would go up in rank a lot but definitely not past the ten place, Alice, Salma and even Daisy who is usually first. I don't think I could beat them." She shook her head, making Alexa frown.
"Why don't you think so?"
"It would take another session for me to get the highest. This isn't my result. Let check. If it is, it's unbelievable."
Alexandra took the result from Jade and held her hand, taking her back to the teacher. After thorough review and a complete check with the ICT office, the school realized that not just one but two of Jade's results had been switched. Crazy thing but it was true. One had been switched with Daisy and the other with Salma. A calculating had made Jade instantly rise to the top, through the scores of both smart little girls.
Any how, the results were switched back, leaving Daisy at the top of the class again, but it left Jade at number three.
"Jade, you still did it. Number three is not so far from the top." Her teacher said and Jade smiled.
"I'm not annoyed. If I want Disney land, I can easily work hard next year. And then, I can return everyone's position back to them."
"What?" Alexandra's eyes widened and Jade sighed tiredly.
"Mom....." She drawed her words and glanced at Alexandra, "This position isn't mine. I snatched it. But I can return it once I come back from Disney." Jade smiled, making Alexa shake her head.
"You are not just interested in studying, Jade." She shook her head.
"Mom, not all heads are for books." She gave a short reply and walked away, leaving Alexandra stupefied.
