Chapter 110 110
THREE MONTHS LATER
"Let's congratulate Alexandra Chapman, the owner of the new Fashion Brand, Nyxoria." The announcer said and Alexandra walked up to the podium, her face a smile as she stood in front of the mic.
"Thank you so much." She muttered.
"I couldn't have done this without you all. My family, I love you all. My friends who have been with me for the past few years, I love you. Liam Jordans, thank you for being right there with me. Jace and Jade, my kids, I'm so glad we all made it through. I won't have made it through without you all." She said and looked at everyone for a while.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to welcome you to the world of Nyxoria. As we stand here tonight, we walk in a new part of enchantment through jewelry designs. "Alexandra Chapman?" Someone suddenly called and her feet halted as she looked at the reporter with questioning eyes.
"We all know in the country now that for the past seven months, you and Liam Jordans have been in an endearing and beautiful romance, when would your wedding be held?" He asked and Alexa puffed her lips in a smile.
"Soon. I guess I and Liam can't keep you guys waiting any longer. We'll be getting married soon and trust me, it'll be so loud." She said and everyone laughed. Her eyes met with Liam who gave her a cocky smile and she scoffed lightly, a shade of red flickering past her cheeks as she walked down the podium.
"Let's take a picture." Liam suddenly dragged her hand and pulled her outside. When they got to the front of the building, Jade and Jace were already there.
"A family photo?" She asked, her eyes widening and she immediately ran to them, "Why not?"
Cameras flashed at them and before they even left there, the picture were already swimming around on social media.
The kids were one of the richest kids with net worths of over a billion dollar each after Liam transferred Gazette to their names, Jace and Jade Jordans. He had not wasted time at all to change their surnames when Alexa gave him the permission and he could not wait to change hers too even when legally she was his wife and beared his name. But she was being so stubborn right now. He would pay attention to that later. For now, he would let her ride high.
Alexandra frowned her face, her jaw clenching tight as she looked at the scene, throwing popcorn into her mouth aggressively. Her fair legs were straightened on the cushion chair, her eyes narrowed with rapt attention while she kept on eating.
"Won't you accept it?"She asked.
"Come on, girl." She muttered again, hissing angrily as she picked the remote and turned off the TV, throwing it angrily on the table beside her.
"I can't believe this. Some movies don't just have the perfect ending." She said as she got up and turned to leave the living room but her head bumped into a hard chest, making her stumble backwards, about to fall. A hand wrapped around her waist, pulling her upwards to him.
"Liam, when did you get back?" She asked, her eyes widening. His lips went to her head and he placed a long kiss on her forehead.
"What was that?" She pouted, her lips asking for a kiss and he gave her one, tickling her at the same time, making her laugh out loud.
"Liam... Stop it." She hit his hand away.
"Alexandra." He raised his hand up above his head as he stared at her, his eyes locking with hers.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" She asked, and Liam pressed his lips tightly against each other.
"Don't you want to get married to me?" He asked and she blinked, moving backwards a little bit. Liam's eyes furrowed as he stared at her.
"What is this? You don't want to get married to me?" He asked.
"You are so....oh my God." She hit her hand on her head, and stared at him, "Liam Jordans, I have been wearing your ring for the past months waiting for you to be reminded. This is my prime. If you don't get married to me soon enough, I would abandon you."
"Next week is a good day." Liam said quickly, snatching a quick kiss from her lips.
"Next week is so early. We won't have time to prepare." She said.
"We would." He said and smiled, "We could also go for our honeymoon." He added.
"I don't want an honeymoon." She pulled herself away from his arms which he'd wrapped around her after stealing a kiss.
"Nyxoria is still new. I can't take any single time off for now. So if we plan a wedding, I have to be sure I would resume the next day."
"Alexandra..." Liam was totally shocked, "Even as the chairman of Glamour Holdings, I'm not still as workaholic as you are, Alexa."
"Yeah and that's because you are a chairman. I'm still growing my brands so....no way." She said and placed her arms over each other in a 'no' manner.
"Alexandra, please." He begged and she moved her neck backwards, glaring at him.
"No, Mr Jordans." She snapped, picking her popcorn and rushing up the stairs. Liam sighed, a smile forming on his face as he rushed after her.
