CHAPTER 12: FRANCE
LIAM
Sofie finished her training and we are now going to France together with my mom. My brother and Fatima already got there. I am not in a good mood right now because Sofie is not with us. She is on the other plane because we still can’t see each other.
“ Liam??” I turn my head
“ Thalia?” Thalia is my ex-girlfriend, our relationship was not good so we broke up.
“ hi! Nice to see you “ she said, I just smiled.
“ Yeah, same here,” I said.
“who’s with you?” asked Thalia.
“ ah yeah, my mom” I pointed at my mom but she ignored Thalia.

“ I don’t like her” I smiled at what mom said

We arrived in France, mom said we need to go. Sofie will arrive next to us and someone will fetch her.
“ how long are we going to stay here mom?” I ask
“ until your brother’s wedding is done” so it means we will stay here for a month.
“ are all the Montequinto’s coming?” I ask, I haven’t seen them in a long time but I don’t want to see the other Montequinto because he has a bad attitude.
“ yes, and I want you to behave” it’s me again, I don’t like arrogant people that is why I always get into trouble with my cousins.

“ Master Young Lady is coming” whispered one of his guards
“ okay let her in” my eyes widened, is serious? He’s just gonna let her come, I’m right here.
I saw her coming and I felt so nervous but I noticed that she was wearing blindfolds, I can’t believe it I thought she’s going to see me.
“ hahaha! You looked stressed Liam “ this old man, I thought she’s going to see me.
“ Young Lady Sofie welcome to Montequinto Residence” greeted grandpa
“ thank you,” she said, there is something strange with grandpa, he smile too wide.
“ take Young Lady to her room“ he ordered so the maids take her.
“ prepare yourselves later because I will introduce her and tell them why is she here” we look at each other. Just as I thought there is a reason why we were here.

All of them are busy for the gatherings tonight. I can’t stop thinking about what Grandpa and Mom said a while ago. There is something I don’t know here, what’s with Sofie?
“ bro what are you thinking” I am with my brother doing his invitation cards.
“ There is something strange with Grandpa, the way he looks at Sofie” he frowns.

Dinner time
Grandpa called for us and there is a chair reserved for me. Wait, why am I the only one who has a chair reserved? Grandpa will introduce Lucas to Sofie. I know that Sofie will not notice us because we don’t look alike.
“ good evening” greeted grandpa, all the Montequinto Family are here, looks like it’s not an ordinary gathering. I look at grandpa and he is so serious.

“ I wanted to thank you. Thank you for saving my life and I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to visit you in the hospital because I was miserable at that time but now I want you to know and my family what I’m about to announce”. We listened quietly to what grandpa was about to announce.
