Chapter 114 Chapter 114
Chapter 114 Chapter 114
I was open mouthed as I looked around the room after shutting the door. I can't describe it in detail, but it was beautiful.
Few minutes later I'd washed up and changed into a pair of pajamas Klaus bought during the shopping spree, and was walking down the stairs when I spotted a woman toward me.
"Miss Daisy," she said with a polite expression on her face. "Master Klaus instructed me to accompany you to his study. In his own words, he believed you would stop and study every art design you saw."
I frowned, slightly offended. Then I sighed. "Take me to him."
He looked up when the door opened, and inclined his head to the side. “Well, you're earlier than I thought.”
"The plan," I said, plopping onto the chair before him. He looked irritated by my response, but chose to say nothing.
"The plan is to turn you into a whole new person."
I blinked. "What?"
"You're going to strike back against Aiden, Daisy."
"I...I don't understand. And quite frankly, scared. Why me? And what do you mean, strike back?"
"My brother, Kieran, was the leader of a rogue pack, as you might remember.”
I nodded.
"They need a new leader, else they'd revolt. And trust me, a rogue pack without a leader that's ready to revolt is not what the werewolf kingdom needs right now."
"So...how does that involve me? Surely you're not planning to put me as the head, are you?"
He looked at me like I'd gone mad. “What? You? Please. You'd be killed the night you're coronated. No, of course not."
Despite the insult, I was curious. "Then...what are you-"
"I'll become the leader. As Kieran's brother, I'm next in line. That'll get Aiden concerned, because he knows I'm aware he killed my brother. However, your role is a lot more important than mine.”
"How?"
"You're going to be my lover."
There was a moment of silence, then my eyes widened. "What?"
He raised a brow. "What is it? What do you think all the fancy clothes are for?"
"Your lover?” I asked in disbelief. “Is that not taking it a bit too far?"
He chuckled. “A bit too far? Daisy, you're the former sex slave of the Lycan King. You're a fugitive now, and you watched him kill the only man who'd been kind to you without asking for anything in return. And you think being in cahoots with the King's enemies is taking it a bit too far?"
"Not that." My hands were shaking now. "I mean being your...your lover. Isn't there another position I can take up?"
"No." His gaze bored into mine. "One of the major things that would infuriate Alpha Aiden is seeing what he called his prized possession in the arms of another man. He would go mad with anger."
A picture of Aiden with an angry look flashed through my mind, and I shivered.
"Wouldn't that be taking it too far? He can go on a rampage on your people."
Klaus shook his head. “It'd be foolish to do so. The only person he might even have a right to killing is me, since I'm the one that took said slave. But if he does that, then he's asking for war. And although his army is strong, there are more rogues in our pack, and many more rogues lying in wait, hoping to make a mark on his bloodied fur by the time we're done with him."
The expression on his face had gone sinister, and I resisted the urge to move backwards.
"W-wow. That's a lot."
He turned to me like he'd only just discovered I existed. "It is, isn't it? Which is why it's a wonderful plan. Kieran had a much more positive outlook to Aiden, but see where he ended up. Killed by the same person he tried to defend." His eyes turned dark, and I gulped as I watched his demeanor change.
"We'll drive him crazy with you as bait, and one day, when we've had our fill, we'll kill him.”
I froze.
"It'll be amazing," he was saying. "We'd beat him up, then gouge out his eyeballs. After that, we'd make as many incisions as we want on his body. If some women want to know what it's like to fuck him, that'll be their chance. He'll be stripped naked for all to see, and fucked by these women in public."
He...what?
There were gold flecks in his eyes as he clenched his fist. "And when he seems to have had enough, we'll give him a drink laced with special anti-lycan poison. It'd be the perfect accident."
I was speechless, watching a maniacal look come upon his initially angered look.
He chuckled, causing me to flinch. "Oh, it's going to be so amazing! I can't want to see what they come up with. I bet it will all be wonderful ideas!" His eyes swiveled to me. “And you will stand by my side, as my lover, watching while he burns."
I didn't speak. I couldn't speak.
"Well? You'd better say your mind now, or keep quiet forever."
"...I, ah," I stuttered. "That's a mighty good plan."
He frowned at me. "Is that all you can say?"
I nodded, causing him to shake his head. "If you weren't so beautiful, I'd have wondered what Alpha Aiden sees in
you."
A few moments later I was back in my room, staring at the ceiling.
They planned to poison him, to burn him from inside out.
I closed my eyes, doing my utmost best to prevent the image of Aiden clutching a burning neck as he fell to the floor from engraving itself in my mind.
It was an impossible task.
I sighed, sitting up. Exactly what had I just gotten myself into?

Nobody's POV::
A shrill ringtone jarred Leon from his deep thoughts, breaking the thick silence that enveloped the balcony. He had decided to come out here to clear his head but apparently, that wasn't possible until he got on the seat.
"Hey?" The caller ID said it was a private number but he knew who it was.
"Where are you, Leon? I came over to your place but was told you'd left. You better not be thinking of sabotaging our partnership," Aaren said in an accusing manner.
"Of course not," Leon assured him, leaning against the railing of the balcony. “I'm at home now. I was out earlier, running an errand."
“And which errand would that be?” Aaren asked, sounding suspicious.
"Nothing you need to know about. What's up?"
"I need to know your plan so we can take the next step. Time is on anywhere but our side," Aaren said, his voice suddenly filled with urgency.
Sighing, Leon moved away from the railing and walked back into the house. "I already told you, man. I'm working on it. You need to calm the fuck down, okay? Stop hounding me."
"Don't tell me to calm down!" Aaren spat at him. “This is taking too long. We need to act. What's the fucking
delay?"
"It's just a minor setback. It's not something you need to worry about, I'll handle it.”
"You'd better."
"I will. I'm also working on other things. Everything will be in place soon. What about the other packs? Can we still rely on them or do you need to go make sure they are still on the same page with us?"
There was a brief silence, then Aaren said, “Yeah, I'll pay them a visit and handle that. Just make sure the plan is
ready soon."
"I will."
"You'd better. Keep me updated," Aaren said and hung up.
