Chapter 115 Chapter 115

Chapter 115 Chapter 115
Immediately after getting off the phone with Leon, Aaren got dressed, left the house and headed to his car. He still wasn't sure if he could trust Leon fully but he knew he didn't have much choice.
He just had to get the best he can out of him now and if he turned out to be a problem later, he'd just get rid of him. It was that simple. Starting the car, he reversed out of the house and veered it onto the road. Several minutes later, he arrived at the house he knew he would find the werewolves and he alighted from the car and knocked on the front door.
Getting no response after a few seconds, he made another attempt to know but the door opened before his fist could touch it. Aaren found himself staring at the same werewolf whose ass he'd kicked back when he was looking for Alpha Charles.
“Yeah?” The guy asked with hostility and raised an eyebrow.
"You're not going to invite me in?" Aaren asked.
He got his response when the man filled the doorway with his frame, a defiant look on his face. Aaren chuckled, shook his head slowly, and, deciding he'd given the man enough grace, he moved forward suddenly and shoved the man out of the way. He was past the doorway and heading towards the living room before the man could stop him.
He could hear voices as he approached the living room and when he got there, seven pairs of eyes turned on him instantly and the room was enveloped by silence, save for the sound coming from the television. Aaren looked around, shrugged, and walked into the middle of the room.
“You need to leave," the guy that had answered the door said angrily and gestured towards the entrance. “Now.”
"As soon as I achieve my purpose of coming here,” Aaren replied, reaching forward to grab the remote lying on the transparent table. Turning around, he saw a woman stripping in front of a weird looking man and he hesitated for a moment before hitting the power switch on the remote. Then, there was total silence in the room. "What the fuck are you doing?" One of the other werewolves asked in a gruff voice. Aaren didn't recognize him, same with three others. There were only four people from the group he'd met the last time and the way they looked at him told him how welcome he was there.
"I need to know if you guys are still on board with us. We're making our move soon," Aaren said, looking from one of them to the other until he had measured the expression in the eyes of each of them.
The one who had opened the door for him laughed, and after a few seconds, the others followed suit. As he watched and listened to their hideous laughter, Aaren couldn't help but wonder what he'd said that was funny. The wolf came to stand in his front, squaring up to him, then he said, "The only thing you need to do is to leave."
Chuckling, Aaren stepped back a little. "I'm not leaving until I get what I need. Now, are you guys still on board or do you need motivation?"
One by one, the other men got up from where they were seated and they looked a lot less friendlier than they did before. Moving forward, they came to stand behind the first man and Aaren's sixth sense started ticking. He made sure to track all their movements with his eyes to avoid any surprises.
"You're the reason our Alpha is dead after all your crazy talk about a revolution and all that bullshit," one of them said as he came to stand beside the man in front of Aaren. "And yet, you still have the guts to come to us and talk shit about being on the same page. You've got a lot of balls on you."
“So, I've been told,” Aaren said, scoffing.
"Leave. Now." The first wolf said. "We won't ask again."
Aaren looked around at all of them and the look in their eyes told him that they were all prepared to go to any lengths to get him out of the house. Things were far different from the way they were the last time. Aaren considered his options and flight seemed to be a better one than fight. Two or three wolves he could have handled on his own, but seven of them? He wasn't willing to take that bet.
Raising his hands to show compliance, he said, "okay, okay. I'll leave."
Then he started stepping back slowly and they all followed him with their eyes until he got to the entrance to the living room. He stopped, wanting to say something, but he felt hands on him as he turned around, shoving him very hard.
"“Get the fuck out,” the person said and for a brief moment, Aaren felt the strong urge to put his fist to use. Instead, he threw a glance over his shoulder and kept on walking till he left the house.
When he got back home, the first thing he did was to call Leon. The phone rang for a while before it was answered and Leon's tired voice came over the line.
"Yeah?"
"Those bastards didn't even listen to me,” Aaren said. “We gotta find another way to get them to cooperate with
us."
“What do you mean they didn't listen to you?” Leon asked as if Aaren had said something stupid.
"They didn't want to listen to anything I have to say. They blame me for the death of their alpha," Aaren said irritatedly.
"So we don't know if we can use them?"
"No," Aaren answered. "Which is why we need to find another way. Someone else has to be the one to talk to them."
"And where are we going to get someone to do that?"
"What do you mean get someone? You don't count as a person?"
Leon sounded surprised. “You want me to do it?"
"If not you, who else?"
Leon fell silent and Aaren could hear his footsteps as he moved around. There was a small clattering sound then Leon said, "Even if I'm going to do it, I don't know how to go about it."
A snide remark came to the tip of Aaren's tongue but he held it back. Sighing, he said, "It's easy. All you need to do is to convince them to work with us. Without an alpha, they need someone to be their leader, someone that can lead them to freedom. You just have to do anything it takes to make them see that their lack of a leader is to their own detriment. Hell, you can even start chaos between them or something. Just do all you can to make sure they accept."
Silence followed Aaren's explanation then Leon said, "Okay. I'll do that and let you know how it goes." Although Leon couldn't see him, Aaren shook his head. “The only way it should go is that you should get them on board. I expect to hear from you in the next few days," he said and ended the call.
Leon looked at his phone in irritation then he shoved it into his pocket and left the house. Half an hour later, he arrived at Neena's room and knocked. It took a few seconds before the door was answered and when it opened, Neena was standing there, looking surprised to see him.
Then her eyes traveled down to his missing hand, as if she was just seeing it for the first time, and she stared at it for a few seconds before bringing her gaze back to rest on his face.
