Chapter Thirty Eight
Silas POV: To sell her or to keep her.
We drove for a few hours with her head dangling on my shoulder like a dead animal. She eventually would be dead after I sold her to witch hunters. I knew what she was the second she washed up from the river like a drowned rat I might want to lick, I went from wanting to make money off of her to wanting to lick her skin. Thank’s to her horrible fall I got to see every outline of her body as her clothes were plastered to her skin, and the goddess did have an amazing body. She slumped forward as the roar of the motorcycle died down, I pulled up to an inn where I had a room waiting for me. For now the little one needed rest, her wound needed time to heal. I can’t make good money on damaged goods. Opening the doors to the room which wasn’t much just a bed and a desk, with peeling wall paper on the walls, I put her on the bed. Best to let her sleep.
Getting up the next morning I went downstairs to the bar and told my contact who would be several weeks' travel time away that goods were ready to be picked up. I was a Fae man and the Fae were men of their word after all. Only during moments of grave peril to life did we break our bonds on our words. I walked back up to the room carrying a tray of basically everything the inn could provide for breakfast. The sight before me is everything. She is still asleep. I untied her hands hours ago. She can’t run far in this condition.
“Good Morning little one.”
I chant loudly hoping that will wake her and I won’t have to smell her again. I hate that she smells delicious like I really could eat her. There was something forbidden and dark clawing at the back of my mind while I stayed up all night tending to her wound and watching her sleep. If I didn’t have to sell her.
I could keep her here with me. What if my Fae senses were trying to tell me something about this strange little creature that had fallen from the sky into my life.
Her eyes fluttered open and I heard her groan. Oh, that groan is doing something to me. I try not to stand over her and intimidate her too much, but my body wants to be close to her so I move near the bed.
“Wha.. ahh my side! What happened? Where am I?”
I turn and look at her and she tries to back further up on the bed.
“Making room for me to sit with you little one?” This little witch arches a brow at me and points.
“You! You psycho stay away from me!”
I pretend to make a pouty face as I move closer.
“Little one that is not what you said earlier when you got on my bike.”
She moves to try and get up off the bed and I slam my hand down hard, maybe too hard onto her leg keeping her body still, she might be a witch but I can overpower her if I need to. Heat fills my body and I recognize this feeling. “Aht, Aht.” I motion with my finger to stay put. “My little one I don’t want to tie you up again but if you make a move to leave or do any spell work I will tie you to this bed. Even if you do manage to leave, the wolves will eat you alive out there.”
She looks around the room like she is still planning and plotting her escape. That’s fine she can plan but there isn’t much of anywhere to go, even if she still escaped the people she's running from are also still out to find her.
“We need to tend to your wounds little one you are still very hurt.” I point to the bandage that covers the abdomen.
She touches it tenderly, “ahh. Uh thanks for bandaging me up I guess.”
I lean closer and try to give her some food, “Little bites we need to fatten you up some more if you’re going to be sold, my contact likes plump whores.”
She leans in and smiles and takes some food with her mouth open taking both of my fingers holding the small piece of bread and bites down hard. “What the hell? You little minx.” I stand up to slap her but my eyes dart and look into hers that familiar feeling from last night creeps in again. Uh oh, her smell is all around me and my dick is rock hard. Too bad I was focusing on her and not the fact that she had now run out the door.
I guess witches did heal fast. Ha! I was going to thoroughly enjoy chasing her. Racing out of the inn I smell her scent traveling back to the woods, oh no you don’t little one you’re too weak the earth won’t help you here. I will drag you back by your hair. You are mine little one.
