"Then tell me how she is still living?" I yelled.
"I do not know, that may be a question for Helga your witch. I did everything you told me to do." Sammie told me. I could not stay mad at her she did what I asked she is only fifteen years old, but she knows better than to cross me.
"Go wash up and put on clean clothes next time. Tell me what you are doing." She reached up and kissed my cheek.
"I will." And off she went to her room. There was no point looking for Helga she would not be back until tomorrow. I have waited too many dam years to come here and avenge my father and brothers’ deaths. It was all that woman’s fault. I had to think someone in that family would pay. If I could not kill her, then there were eleven more. I picked up my pipe and stuck the match to light it. Humm. I thought now that could work. I threw the match onto the tray before it burnt me. I picked up my brandy and thought about the idea for a while.
EMMA'S POV
Everyone was leaving today, but Maz and Francis they were staying to see this Thorn thing through. Dammi and I said goodbye to the pack house. Dammi just delivered a baby girl a month ago. And I was just starting to show. Ben was being extra protective it was starting to drive me crazy. Tonight, I was going to have to talk to him.
"I'm still me." I yelled at Andrew as I threw another bunch at him. He blocked and grabbed my arm and twisted my arm, then let go.
"Concentration Emma." Andrew said.
"Let's sit." I said. Andrew grabbed us water, and we sat on the benches.
"You tired?" Andrew asked.
"No, I'm frustrated. You're the only one who does not treat me differently now that Dawn is gone. They view me as a weak human now.
"You're from weak. You're actually faster and hit a hell of a lot harder than you used to."
"You're just saying that to make me feel better."
"No, I have the bruises to prove it." He lifted his shirt.
"Andrew, why did you not say something?" I almost started to cry.
"Pfft, I can take it. It was only a couple of bruises, Emma. I’m not 20 years old anymore."
"I don't want to be hurting you!" I said.
"I want you to fight my wolf next." Andrew said. I looked at him like he was crazy.
"Seriously, Em. I really want you to fight him like he is going to take you down because he is going to try to just don't kill him." Andrew laughed.
"I can't fight your wolf, Andrew."
"Better we see if you can. If you can fight a wolf with one that is not going to hurt you. But He is not holding back either. Just don't kill me. Putting me in the hospital is great, but I would like to see my new daughter grow up."
"So, if I win, does that mean I will be Alpha?" I started to laugh. Then Andrew laughed, too.
"You really are a bratty sister." I stuck my tongue out at him. He tried to hit me full force with his paw. I did not see come out, but I knocked it away fast. And jumped to the floor, Andrew completely shifted and came at me. He grabbed the back of my one leg to take me down; I used his action to my advantage bent my knee and lock his head between mt legs throwing us to the floor I did not let go even though he was clawing me with his paws I grabbed his jaw with my hands and forced open his mouth to snap his jaw in half. But stopped.
I let go of him he shifted, sat up to catch his breath, and was rubbing his jaw.
"I'm sure glad we are on the same side." He laughed. We were both shocked to hear Ben talk. We had no idea he had come into the gym.
"What the hell were you two just doing?"
Andrew got up and helped me up.
"I was testing her abilities against a wolf." Andrew said.
"Emma is almost three months pregnant, and you decide to attack with your wolf?" Ben yelled.
"Ben, stop. I'm not a fragile human." I yelled.
"You have no wolf Emma; any wolf could rip you apart." Ben said.
"You admit it, you see me as a week human now!" I yelled and left the gym. Ben was following me, but I ignored him.
"Emma, stop, please." He asked.
"No. I'm going home leave me alone." I left the pack house just as my parents were coming in they looked at me then at Ben and Andrew, who was now standing with Ben. All I heard was my father saying was.
."What the hell was that about?" I went looking for Simon to talk to him. How was my life better now? I was not weak; I was powerful and strong. I was so angry as I walked up the mountain. I took the biggest rock there was and threw it down the mountain path I was on. Then another and another. I picked up a fallen tree, not thinking anything. I just needed to throw anything to release my anger it flew quite a Waze, then rolled. By the time I got to Hailey's where Simon and Leo were staying, I felt a bit better. I was still angry, but the urge to throw things was gone. They were just coming out of the house as I reached the steps. Leo was on the phone.
"Ben, she is here and fine she must have just missed it."
"Missed what?" I asked.
"There was a small avalanche on the walking trail. We were coming to look for you."
"You tell Ben there on the phone that was not an avalanche it was me throwing shit down the mountain."
"He heard you and is sending me a picture."
When I saw the picture, I started to laugh. "Did you throw all that Emma?" Leo asked.
"Yes, sorry I was, and I'm very angry." I told him.
Simon took me aside. Emma, can you do something for me?" He asked.
"I guess." I said. He went over to a large rock by a tree it must have been a good two feet in diameter.
"Just humor me, throw this rock." I looked at him it was pretty big. I bent down and picked it up and threw it just missing Leo. I was shocked.
"Sorry, Leo." I yelled.
"Emma, you have unbelievable strength, but don't do that again. You could hurt the baby." I had never thought of that when I was walking up the mountain. I just kept thinking I was not a weak human because my wolf was gone. I had been so angry. Leo got off the phone and asked me to come in for tea.
