Chapter 314 Directly Kiss Until Telling the Truth

Chapter 314 Directly Kiss Until Telling the Truth

It was a kiss that tasted as sweet as a strawberry dessert.

Even though Cordelia had pushed him away , Alaric felt it wasn't enough.

He gazed at Cordelia's soft lips, his voice thick with emotion.

"Cordelia, I really like you. I want to seriously pursue you."

Cordelia's faceburned a deep crimson. Despite pushing him away, her heart continued to race .
Feeling Alaric's gaze still on her, Cordelia swallowed quietly and spoke.

"Get out."

Only after speaking did she realize how hoarse her own voice sounded.

She had to admit, Alaric's sudden kiss just now had left her flustered and confused.

She bit her lip lightly, angry at herself.

Hearing her raspy voice, Alaric flashed a smile.

Noticing the slight anger in her eyes and worried that pushing too far would backfire, he opened the car door and bent down to get out.

"Drive safe on your way back, don't get distracted."

Hearing this, Cordelia glared at him.

Alaric chuckled softly. As he was about to close the car door, he bent down and looked at her.

"Why don't you just stay here?"

"The master bedroom hasn't changed at all."

Cordelia frowned, her voice still hoarse. "Close the door, I'm going back."

Hearing this, a flash of regret crossed Alaric's eyes, but he still gently closed the car door and reminded Cordelia to drive safely.

Cordelia didn't respond. After turning around, she sped up and left.

Alaric stood there watching her car disappear from view, a slight smile playing at the corners of his eyes and brows.

After getting home, Cordelia lay in bed tossing and turning, unable to sleep. It wasn't until almost dawn that she finally managed to fall asleep.

The next morning, Amber was already up, and Alaric had come to the Stone Manor.

Not seeing Cordelia come down, Alaric asked Amber.

"Is Mommy still sleeping?"

Amber nodded obediently. "Mommy might be tired."

Hearing this, Alaric raised his eyebrows slightly, thinking that Cordelia had indeed been working hard lately, driving him around every day while also working.

Allegra glanced at the time. If Cordelia didn't come down soon, she might be late for work, so she said softly.

"I'll go get Ms. Stone to come downstairs."

Alaric spoke up.

"Let me go."

He gently rubbed Amber's head as he spoke.

"I'll go check on your mommy."

Amber nodded, watching Alaric go upstairs, then suddenly remembered something and ran to his side, hugging his leg.

"Mr. Hughes, Amber, come too."

Hearing this, Alaric bent down, picked Amber up, and headed upstairs.

When Amber had gotten up, she'd already left Cordelia's bedroom door slightly open, so when they entered, they just pushed the door open gently without making any noise.

Cordelia's bedroom had changed quite a bit from when he'd been there three years ago.

The room now had many of Amber's things, giving it a much more lived-in feel.

Cordelia lay in bed, not sleeping peacefully, her brows tightly furrowed.

As Alaric was about to walk over, Amber kicked her little legs, wanting to get down.

He quickly bent down and put Amber down.

Once on the ground, Amber immediately started rummaging through things in the room.

Alaric walked to Cordelia's bedside and sat down. Just as he was about to wake Cordelia, Amber knocked down a jewelry box.

The sound of something falling instantly woke Cordelia. She immediately sat up in bed, her voice somewhat anxious.

"Amber..."

Before she could finish, she saw Alaric sitting on her bed and froze.

Alaric's gaze fell on Amber. Seeing that Amber had knocked down a jewelry box, he walked over to help pick it up.

Amber opened the jewelry box, which contained the bracelet he had given Cordelia.

Alaric took the bracelet out of the jewelry box and looked at Cordelia.

"What's this?"

Cordelia had just been startled awake, and her mind was still fuzzy. When she saw the bracelet in Alaric's hand, she became much more alert.

Amber stretched out her little hand to Alaric. "It's Amber's."

Her voice was very happy.

She had discovered the bracelet yesterday, but other things had distracted her, and she'd forgotten about it.

When Alaric came today, she remembered and wanted him to help her put it on.

A flash of embarrassment crossed Cordelia's eyes as she mumbled a response.

"It's just a bracelet."

After answering Alaric's question, she flopped back down on the bed, embarrassedly scratching her head.

Alaric looked at the woman who had flopped back onto the bed and chuckled softly. After putting the bracelet on Amber, he said gently.

"So pretty! Why don't you go show your grandpa how pretty it is?"

Amber's eyes curved into crescents as she smiled and nodded quickly.

"Okay, I'll go find Grandpa right now."

With that, Alaric escorted Amber out of Cordelia's bedroom, signaled to Allegra downstairs to take Amber, then returned to Cordelia's bedroom.

Hearing the two sets of footsteps leave, Cordelia secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

However, the next second, she heard footsteps entering.

Not only did Alaric come in, but he also closed the bedroom door.

Cordelia had been about to throw off the covers and get up, but hearing the bedroom door close, she bit her lip lightly, her mind not yet ready with how to deal with Alaric about the bracelet.

Alaric walked to Cordelia's bedside. Seeing her facing away from him, covered by the blanket, his lips curved slightly. He bent down and picked up Cordelia, blanket and all.

"Didn't you throw away the bracelet?"

Cordelia gave an awkward smile and went along with what Alaric said.

"I found it again later."

As soon as she answered, Alaric kissed her on the lips.

Cordelia froze instantly.

Alaric continued asking, "Where did you find it?"

Cordelia answered, "I forgot."

Alaric bent down and kissed her on the corner of her lips again. This time, he simply didn't pull away.

"When did you find it?"

As he spoke, his warm breath sprayed on Cordelia's face. Cordelia suddenly didn't know how to answer.

Alaric looked at her with a smile, his deep eyes playful.

"Think it over before you answer. Every time you lie, I'll kiss you."

Cordelia bit her lip and immediately covered her mouth with her hand.

"I found it a long time ago, I forgot."

Hearing her words, Alaric reached out and grabbed her hand, holding it above her head, and kissed her.

This kiss lasted a long time, carrying a hint of punishment. When the kiss ended, Alaric brought his lips to Cordelia's ear and said softly.

"If you keep lying, the next kiss will be..."

Cordelia's chest rose and fell slightly. Alaric's whole body pressed against her, his weight heavy against her.

Her struggles seemed completely powerless against Alaric.

Every time she struggled, Alaric kissed her. Finally, exhausted, Cordelia had to admit it.

"I hid it, I hid it myself, okay!"

Her voice carried a hint of embarrassed anger.

As soon as she finished speaking, he captured her lips once more.

Cordelia was completely stunned.

Why was he still kissing her even though she'd admitted it?
