Karsen

I was about to leave the mansion when Wayang showed up in front of me causing me to be confused. How did she get in here in front of me?

"Karsen, Charlotte will be in danger now. Save her, her cat might be there protecting her but it is not enough. She needed you, if ever you caught her running, follow her and stop her."

I raise my eyebrows after hearing that.

"What do you mean by that, Wayang?" Sometimes I think that she is from the other dimension or maybe a ghost. I feel that she is not the same as us, like normal humans. Does Charlotte know about her origin? About her identity?

"Just, follow me. I can't say the words I wanted to say to you as I keep my promise to her that I won't say anything. It's just that, I needed you this time. I can't go there to save her. There is something that is blocking my way to get closer to her. You are the only one who can do that."

She walks closer to me and stops when we're inches apart now. "Save her. Stop her. She needed you more now. If you have questions, you can ask her about this. Things are about to happen soon, there will be many obstacles that both of you will face starting now."

I still don't get, everything that she just said but I just tap her shoulder and smile. "Okay, I will follow what you said." After that, she smiled and I immediately went to my car and drove to her location.

I was in the middle of driving when suddenly a heavy rainfall came. I immediately tried to find the umbrella that I left in my car for an emergency. While doing so, I almost had an accident but fortunately, my luck was on my side. "Shit, I almost fvcked up," I cursed as I keep driving faster.

When I was now at the coffee shop that she was talking to, I saw her bag open in front of the shop. I quickly take it and look around. "Why did she leave her bag here?" I ask myself as I look around while I am holding the umbrella.

I started walking and running as my heart was racing faster. Why do I feel like I am nervous and afraid? I was thinking about what Wayang had told me earlier. Is it true that Charlotte would be in danger? If so, where is she?

I keep on trying to find her but I still can't find her! "Where are you, Charlotte," I said and started to shout for her name until I saw a cat. It was Nini!

She showed up and stared at me and it was like she was telling me about something. She ran immediately causing me to run and follow her. "You know where Charlotte is? Tell me where she is, Nini." She meowed at me and I smiled as I kept running and following her.

She leads me to a place, to an abandoned house. I looked around and it gave me an eerie feeling but this place was somewhat familiar to me. Where did I see this place? "She's inside?" Nini meow indicating that she is saying yes.

I gain the courage to go inside and look around. Nini was walking in front of me and I just kept on following her until I heard something was breaking causing the two of us to jump in surprise. She immediately ran causing me to leave the bag and the umbrella alone as she was running faster. If I don't let those things drop, I probably won't see Nini now.

I stopped when I saw someone, my eyes widened seeing her holding a knife with tears in her eyes. I immediately ran to her when she was about to stab herself. Luckily, I was able to stop her and while doing so, I kept on calling for her name but Charlotte was not in her sanity right now. It looks like she was being controlled by someone.

"Charlotte! Stops it!" I was shocked at how strong she was. I couldn't get the knife away from her and even try to stop her, I was having a difficult time. "Charlotte, stop!"

I heard Nini glaring and started getting angry in front of us. What is she doing? Did she see someone there? A ghost? Maybe the ghost was the one who was trying to kill Charlotte and was controlling her body! I gritted my teeth as I still kept on trying to stop her and finally, I was able to take the knife from her hands but my hands were bleeding causing me to curse because of how hurt I felt because of it.

"Who are you? Show yourself!" I know that this is absurd shouting in the air but I believe in Nini. Cats are known to have sharp senses and I know they can see everything that the naked eye won't see. "I said show yourself!" I kept on shouting while holding Charlotte's hands while we were standing. I look into her eyes and she's still controlled by someone.

Instead of waiting for that someone. I just carry Charlotte and run away from the mansion. I was about to run away but the door immediately closed and also the windows causing me to feel nervous about what would happen to us in this place.

Nini was now in front of us trying to protect us. "Nini, can you call Wayang here?" My eyes widen after asking that to Nini. Why did I just ask that from a cat? Why did I assume that Wayang could teleport from the mansion to here? After witnessing what was happening inside the house, the person that came to mind was Wayang. I am so sure that she will help us to get out of here.

The lights even started going wild and the wind was so strong that it could almost throw us away. The wind was so cold that it could freeze us to death. "Nini, come here!" I called the cat when I saw her scared and also trembling in coldness. She saw me and immediately ran towards me so I hugged her as well as Charlotte.

I close my one eye and the other one looking around but my eyes widen when I see the person in the portrait. The thunder and lightning were also the reason for me to be able to see the image in the portrait. My heart was racing with nervousness. There is no way that this place is from her. I can't be mistaken, I know the lady in the picture. I keep on hugging Charlotte while my body is trembling in the cold.
