FIFTY SEVEN

I continue to hug them both as the blood in my hands continues dripping to the ground. The wind blows stronger and stronger and it is getting colder and colder. I couldn't believe it, I just remembered that this was the place that Kalsey told me about before. The place where their ancestors lived, how did Charlotte know about this place? How did she get in here?

A shadow of a woman can now be seen causing me to tighten my grip on them. I don't want that woman to hurt them, I will make sure of that.

"I can't believe that you forgot about me, Karius." Karius? Who the fvck is she talking to? I am the only man in here, why did she just call me Karius? Who is that?

"Who are you talking to?" I asked as I stared at her. She did not respond but I can in her shadow that she was looking at me.

"Why? Karius. Even though we are at different times, do you still want that lady? I killed you so you won't remember a thing, so, how? I let you live again so I could love you again and make you mine! Why do you always keep on choosing her over me? I am better than her!"

What is she talking about? I don't even know her even the name that she mentioned earlier. Is this just some sort of hallucination? "I don't know what you are talking about, Miss. If you are the cause of why my girl is like this, then I don't let this slide. I will make sure to get you imprisoned, stop joking around. Stop this prank."

I heard her laughing after I spoke. I tried my best to wake up Charlotte but her eyes were still crying as she stared at the ceilings. What she had done to her? Did she put something like a spell? I gritted my teeth and looked at her again. "I told you to stop this, if you don't I will make sure you will regret everything!" But the woman didn't even stop laughing.

"Why would I stop, Karius? This is the moment that I have been waiting for. I was so close to controlling that girl's body but before I could do it, you broke up with her! And then choose that woman again. I don't know what is wrong and is missing, after I killed you on that day, I made sure that you would be with one of my descendants but everything messed up because of her! Why is she always the one that is the hindrance to our close romantic relationship!?"

Break up with her? Is she talking about Kalsey? Did she know her? How?

I just continue to stare at her and after she speaks the wind gets even colder causing Nini to hide in my shirt. I could feel that I was getting frozen now and the wound in my hand was getting more painful. "You're crazy, I don't know who or what you are but once Icano gets out of here, you will regret doing this."

She now went closer to us. I still can't see her full face because of the dark and the heavy rainfall did not stop yet. "This is my last chance, Karius. I don't want to waste this. Give me the woman or I will take her away from you forcibly. We didn't need her in our life, she was just an obstacle to our relationship. We don't need her."

"You don't need her but I need her. Don't order me around."

"Look at you, Karius! You are freezing! I can stop the cold for you if you let me but you needed to sacrifice that woman's life! Don't kill yourself just to protect her! She doesn't deserve you!" I clench my fist hearing that. What does she mean she doesn't deserve it? She deserves it because I love her! She is the woman I love!

"I won't, you can kill me, but I won't let you hurt her." I saw her glaring eyes turning red which made me shiver. The wind starting to get even stronger so I had to close my eyes and hug them tightly. "I am here, wake up please," I begged her as I touched her face.

"Then forgive me for doing this." She tried to stab Charlotte but I immediately covered her with my back which made me shout in pain. "You!" She shouted and I tried to shove her away causing her to almost fall to the ground.

I took the knife that she used to stab me and pointed it at her but she didn't even flinch. "One step and I will kill you." She snickers and went even closer to me holding the tip of the knife. "I won't hesitate to kill someone just to protect her, Miss. I will do anything for my woman."

"Even though you will sacrifice yourself to her, I will still make sure I will reincarnate your soul again and again. And this time, I will kill that woman—" Before she could complete her sentence, I immediately stabbed her hands causing her to shout in pain and glare at me.

She screamed causing me to cover my ear. All of the things inside the house were twirling around us and some of the sharp things almost wounded Charlotte but I kept on protecting herself with my body. I look behind me and my eyes widen after seeing a sharp glass heading towards us and close my eyes but I can feel that the time immediately stops.

I open my eyes and see that everything stops aside from us. Wayang immediately showed up and carried Charlotte with her hands which amazed me. How was she able to carry her like that? "No time to waste, the time will only stop for minutes, hurry!"

I immediately follow Wayang's order while holding Nini with my hands. Before heading to the portal that Wayang made, I looked at the woman first and began running away from her.

Will she show up again and kill us? What is her purpose? I need to know for sure - Did I already know her before, or did I know her from my past? If it is, who is she?
