Chapter 93 93

Chapter 93 93
Draven's POV
"That would explain why he targeted my home. And kidnapping my mate is crossing the line. I have an idea where he could be, but I do not want to jump to conclusions.
"Where do you think he is?" Sam asked
"The old abandoned hospital," I said blankly.
"But that's impossible, Alpha Draven. That hospital is abandoned for a reason; it's too dangerous even for the rogue werewolves," my beta explained.
"But that's why they would hide there; that's the one place no one would come looking for them, and it would explain why no pack has been able to capture them. The hospital must be their hideout."
I was 100% sure I was right about this. I was about to say something when I felt a huge sting on my hip, and I instantly knew something was going wrong with Hazel. "Oh, you're dead"
I could see that fun guy holding onto Hazel's neck, strangling her. He had this strange look in his eyes, as though he were torturing himself, but she was the one being manhandled.
"I warned you, Hazel," he said, gripping her arm tighter, and I could tell it hurt so badly; it heightened the pain she felt in her hip and brought tears well up in her eyes.
I couldn't take it anymore and hit the door of the entrance so hard that it made a loud noise. She looked towards me, but I avoided locking gazes with her. I stood there with anger evident in my eyes.
This fun guy only invited trouble by messing with me, especially by involving Hazel. I saw he had a silver mask on. The mask covered the upper half of his face, leaving only his eyes visible to onlookers.
Third person POV
Suddenly, Hazel began looking quite pale. The fun guy's eyes glowed brightly, and onlookers, including Draven, realised that he was doing something to Hazel.
Hazel tried hard to keep her eyes open but couldn't even stand straight on her two feet; it felt as though she had two left feet and could do nothing but tremble.
It seemed she thought she had lost way more blood, and that would explain why she was feeling weaker and weaker with every second that ticked by. She knew her legs would soon give out, and her eyelids were forcefully trying to shut tight on their own.
Suddenly, she came crashing down, and thankfully, Draven noticed it and quickly caught her before she completely fell to the ground and hurt herself.
She felt a sense of security once more as she felt a muscular arm holding her, slowly closed her eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.
The fun guy slowly walked away from the two and walked up to the old woman by the corner. He crouched down to her level and took a good look at her.
"Let's begin," he said to her, and she trembled lightly. He slowly got up and looked back at Draven, who was trying to find out what exactly a fun guy had done to his beloved.
"Welcome, welcome. Alpha," he greeted. Draven laid Hazel down carefully on the dusty floor, slowly stood up, and met the fun guy's gaze.
"What did you do to her?" He inquired, gritting his teeth in anger.
"Oh. I put her to sleep. You wouldn't want her to see things get dirty between us, would you?"
"Why do you care?" Draven was curious as to why he felt like a fun guy was being too caring towards Hazel.
"Why? You'd prefer I'd hurt her more than I already did? You felt it, didn't you, the way I hurt her hip?" The other rogue werewolves around looked at him in disbelief before looking amongst themselves in confusion.
"What do you want, fun guy?" Draven said authoritatively.
"Calm down, Alpha Draven. We have time for a little fun. But I don't think you should remain standing there; it's going to be a long, interesting, fun game, so take a seat while I explain the rules," he offered, but Draven remained unmoving.
"Okay then." Draven walked over to the old woman and made a sleek hand movement. She began coughing out blood. "Rayna?" Draven called and looked down on her.
He had this indifferent look on his face, but his eyes showed something else. "So, take a seat". Draven finally sat in the chair Hazel was once tied to.
"So, begin your sob story," Draven said with boredom. "Tch, you are a really funny guy. That's why I once liked you a lot. I am bisexual, by the way, but don't worry, I already lost interest in  you.
"Good then." Draven was slightly stunned. "So, shall we begin?" He drawled. "Margaret," he called, and from the corner, she walked out and untied Rayna.
She seemed well dressed and extremely beautiful as she walked towards the fun guy and embraced him. “Aw, don't try showing off. He never loved you, darling."
Draven couldn't believe it; Margaret was the mole all along, and she was pretending to be a meek and obedient maid. He trusted her so much that he even put her in charge of Hazel as her personal maid.
"So come on, stand up." He spoke, and Rayna looked up at Draven before locking gazes with the fun guy, and she slowly got to her feet.
"Mother" Draven felt dazed by the words the fun guy had called Rayna. He knew Rayna had a son, but if a fun guy is her son, then it means...
"Yes, Alpha Draven. It's exactly who you think it is." The fun guy drawled and slowly took his mask off. "It's me, Richard."
"Richard is the leader of the rogue werewolves." Draven mumbled to himself. “Yes, I am. You see, sometimes you have to mingle with the bad people for your safety, and I found that these bad werewolves love and respect me more than my mother and the Alpha ever did."
"But you got taken away by the rogue werewolf's leader after I became Alpha. How could you be the leader?" Draven asked.
"Well, that's just one of them playing the leader for a while, but you don't need to worry about that. Right now, I'm going to take you on a little journey to where it all began.
We are meant to play a game, but don't worry; we will play at the end of my little sob story. All you have to do for me is sit quietly and listen to the facts of our little story here."
Draven was completely perplexed; never could he have imagined, even in a thousand years, that Richard was someone he had always seen as a little brother.
But he had lost him to the rogue werewolves years ago, but now it seems that he is the leader of the rebellious wolves that threaten the safety of the pack.
"Why? When did all this begin? Explain it now." Draven had his hand clenched into a tight fist as he glared at Richard with nothing but anger.
"Don't be in a rush now; we have time."
"I thought you loved the pack, and you helped me keep everyone safe and together, but now you are a lowly rebel wolf leader!" Draven couldn't contain his anger and yelled uncontrollably at Richard.
"Draven, that's where both you and my mother got it all wrong. I'm not just the rogue werewolf's leader; I am also the true leader of the pack. I am Alpha” He concluded that with a growl, and what followed was a growl from Draven too.
"How can you be a leader?" Draven asked. "That question should be directed to my mother here. Rayna, care to speak up?" She kept her head bowed low and didn't dare look up at either of them; she felt ashamed.
"Well, dear old friend. I'm pretty sure that you have figured out that I have formed alliances with Alpha Zac of the Blood Moon Pack. And I mean, why wouldn't I? He wants what's rightfully his, and so do I.
He wants you, and I want my true title back from you." His eyes showed a demonic golden colour, and Draven began to feel extremely tipsy.
"You know, you are so greedy, Draven. Oops, I'm sorry for the disrespect, Alpha Draven. I gotta ask, though: why do you feel like you are so special? Like, no one else matters in the werewolf clan like you do?
Why do you feel like all the good things should be yours?? "He continued, his tone getting sharper and sharper with every minute that went by.
"Why are you so proud, Alpha Draven? It makes me so sick!" He spat in anger. "You know what makes me more sick?” he said.
"Your eyes... and I do not wish to see them anymore." Like a magical spell had been cast on him, he closed his eyes and immediately dozed off into a deep slumber.
But as he slowly lost consciousness, he heard Richard say the words. "GAME ON, Draven, GAME ON."
