Chapter 94 94

Chapter 94 94
Draven's POV
I opened my eyes with a gasp and found that I was all alone in the old, abandoned hospital. I was tied up to the chair I had sat on with not even a soul around, and it seemed everyone had left long ago, with Hazel.
I looked towards the corner and found my phone close to the wall. Someone was calling me, and I stretched myself to look closer, only to find that it was John, one of the elders, calling.
I shifted into my wolf form, ripping off my clothing and the rope tied around me. I shifted back to my human form once more and stumbled on my feet as I tried to reach out to my phone, but got back up and picked it up.
I answered the phone and placed it against my ears. “Come to the old abandoned hospital in the woods, close to the west wing pack borders. With clothes and water.
"My breath was shaky, and he was about to say something, but I wasn't interested in hearing it and cut off the call. I lay there silently, and after a while, he walked in, stepping on the debris of the door I had broken open earlier on.
Seeing me in a bad state, he hurriedly rushed to my side and helped me get off the floor. Once I got to my feet, I took the water bottle in his hand and gulped its contents.
I let out a loud groan as I drank its very last contents. After that, I took the clothing and put it on, making sure to get rid of the remains of the ripped one first.
"Alpha Draven, what exactly happened? Seeing you in this state," he began. He had been quietly watching me all along and only spoke up now that I was dressed.
"Richard is back, and he has witch powers," I said simply. "What?" He sounded alarmed, as though he felt I had said something completely unbelievable.
I mean, a werewolf can't be able to possess witch magic, but Richard isn't an ordinary werewolf. He is a descendant of great, powerful seers and the first-ever wolf known to the clan to have glowed on the night of his shifting.
Looking back, I knew all along that Richard was most definitely after the title of Alpha. He has always shown me, when we were still kids, how thirsty he truly is for power.
As I thought about that, I flashed back to the last time I saw him. When he told me about his glow, he also mentioned being the alpha of all alpha's.
He thought his star didn't shine because he wasn't just Alpha of the pack but of the clan in total. Then it hit me: he became the rogue werewolf's leader so that he could rule over all the packs.
That's his mission, and that's what he plans to do. But for sure, I wouldn't let him have his way.
I quickly called elders in a group call and explained to them everything that happened, including what I had realised was Richard's mission.
"But I still hadn't figured out who exactly it was that granted him the witch magic, nor do I know how he was able to receive it since he's a werewolf." I explained my confusion to them.
"You don't think...Rayna wouldn't. She seemed to be being tortured by him. Judging from the state she was in when I saw her, I explained calmly.
"I still cannot believe Margaret could betray the pack in this manner. She has always been treated as family; how could she be so ungrateful and insensitive? Of all people, a rogue werewolf is not just one of them but their leader.”
“You've got to be fuckin kidding me," he spat, extremely angry.
"I'm not concerned about that right now because I had already suspected her for quite a while now. I knew she was doing something shady, but before I could investigate, she helped Richard kidnap Hazel, then played the second victim in front of Jason." I explained it sincerely.
"But it's alright; there's no need to cry over spilled milk. Let's try to figure out our next step. Whatever we do now must be done with controlled thinking and careful management. We can't afford to slip up.
At all. Richard is playing a game, and I know that by now, Hazel must've been handed over to  Zac. I said it with a sigh.
"We would have to find a way to gather up a meeting with the witches," Sam suggested, which was the most unbelievable thing. "How? Both creatures have sworn to stay out of each other's business," I explained in confusion.
"But they are reasonable; if a wolf possesses witch magic given to him by an unknown witch, it would automatically mean that there's a witch using forbidden magic.
So I know they won't tolerate that and try to fix the problem; the only glitch in this plan is the fact that the witches would rather put themselves in danger than help out the werewolves after all that happened with the late Alpha, your father."
His words made a lot of sense, and thankfully, I knew all too well how to gather the witches. I'd need to call in a favour from an old friend.
I dialled a few digits on my phone and placed the phone against my ears. After a few rings, the person from the other line picked up.
"Hello darling"
"Hi baby." I had a smirk plastered on my face as I heard her cheery voice call. Sam looked at me with a confused look before feeling at ease, obviously realising who I was talking to.
"So you finally remembered my digits after all this year's Alpha Draven?"
"Who says I forgot it? I have a little problem, and I need your help." I got straight to the point, as I knew if I didn't get serious, she'd drag this into some kind of flirty call.
"Let me guess, your mate has been kidnapped by the fun guy," she said, shocking me. "How did you do?"
"I checked into the future to find the next time you'd call me. Don't feel too special and think I have been waiting for your call. Well, the fun guy is at some kind of old abandoned hospital."
"I already dealt with that. Also, the fun guy is actually Richard," I explained.
"Richard? That's impossible. The fun guy cannot be Richard." She seemed to be shocked and a bit panicked as I said that.
"Wait, how do you know he goes by the name Fun Guy?" I had just realised that she already knew the werewolf pack leader was a fun guy.
"Because I already met with him two years ago. Anyway, this isn't something we should be discussing right now. I'll come by the pack tomorrow, but you have to make sure our secret passageway is still secure and pro-witch proof."
“And with that came a short-term beep sound, which signified that she had cut off the call. I looked outside to see that it would soon be dark out, so we had to leave the west wing borders.
The members of the west wing pack aren't nice to uninvited visitors, and getting into a brawl with them now would mean starting up a pack-to-pack feud in the most dire situation.
I already had way too much on my plate, and between Zac and Richard, it's way too much to top up one more. Right now, we need to focus on not just bringing Hazel back and defeating Zac but also on finally ridding the werewolf clan of its most feared rebel group.
The rogue werewolves I had made a vow the day I became Alpha to protect my pack and rid it of the rebel wolves. Even if it meant completely ending a long-time friendship, I left the old, abandoned hospital.
I drove steadily, not wanting to get home anytime soon. What was I going home for? Whom am I going home for? The thought of being home alone and in my room all alone filled my heart with sadness.
I've truly gotten used to having Hazel with me, and now I truly needed her by my side, where she truly belonged.
I got home a few minutes later and parked my car at the front of my mansion before getting off it and climbing up the stairs of the huge house. I walked into my lonely mansion and opened the fridge to take out some leftovers.
Jason was still getting treated, so he wouldn't be able to help me out with this. I put some uncooked pizza in the microwave and brought out a bottle of alcohol.
I remembered Hazel hadn't eaten yet, and she easily got hungry due to her pregnancy, and my heart began to hurt as I remembered her.
I couldn't stand the fact that she is way too far away from me right now; I needed her with me. Now.
I'll find you.
