Chapter 92 92

Chapter 92 92

Hazel's POV

But him, he's got green eyes and blonde hair. I felt somewhat drawn in; I wanted to know him more, almost the same way I feel about Draven. They are both a wonder, a curious egg I wish to crack open, and I hope I am given a chance to.

"Hazel," he said, coming closer and placing his hand on my cheeks. That gesture made my heart skip a beat. His palm felt so wonderful, so warm and soothing. I found myself pulling in closer to his palm.

"I'm sorry about his bad manners." He spoke once more with his voice. That voice was melodious, cool, and smooth, and I felt dazed. What was going on with me? Why do I feel content at the hands of my kidnappers? Whatever was happening wasn't good, and I knew that fully too well.

My eyes were swept over by the corner, and I saw an old woman tied up and seated on the cold, dusty floor. She looked extremely weak and seemed to be in need of water.

"Hazel," I heard him call, and I stared deeply into his eyes, and then it all started over again—the strange, safe feeling—and that's when my wolf realised that it was his eyes. He was somehow compelling me.

With great effort, I managed to pry my eyes away from him by shutting them tight and then looking over to the woman at the far corner. "Can you release me from this chair? "It's uncomfortable," I said in a pleading tone.

"On the condition that you will be a good girl and not cause trouble for me," I was about to look into his eyes but stopped just before I could look into his eyes.

"Okay." I had a plan in mind; I had stolen a dagger from the guy the fun guy had to kill. I planned to cut the ropes that held me down and left me unable to move from where I sat. But there was no need to right now, so I just sneakily hid it in my pocket.

I felt a stinging pain as I had mistakenly cut my skin open with the dagger. I could only pray that the blood doesn't seep out and get unwanted attention.

The fun guy gestured to one of his men, and they came over and untied me. I immediately got off the chair and needed to stretch a bit. I felt so rusty from sitting there for way too long. I looked around me; it seemed to be a clinical environment, possibly abandoned.

The fun guy came slowly walking towards me with a strange, beasty look in his eyes, and I knew I needed to think hard and fast so I'd be able to escape his grasp.

At that moment, he reached me and trailed his eyes from my neck down to my melons. I felt uncomfortable and disgusted by his gaze this time, and I wanted to throw up all over his face.

His gaze trailed lower and finally rested on my hip. I looked down and realised that the blood had already seeped out and I was bleeding profusely. He began walking even closer towards me, and I knew I was busted.

I knew he wouldn't spare me, and I wouldn't be spared unscathed, but then I'd have nothing to lose if I was able to kill the fun guy and rid the werewolves of the Diamond pack of the new threat that is sure to trouble them for all while.

Draven already had a lot on his plate with Zac being a threat, but now rogue werewolves would be way too much, and I had to find a way to help him.

I grabbed onto the dagger and swung it at the fun guy in a swift move. I could tell I had most definitely hurt myself, but I had to hide in the pain that almost reflected in my eyes.

He was able to evade my attack and twist my hand behind me. His counterattack was unexpected, and I had been disarmed quite easily.

"You'll hurt yourself more, Hazel." His cheek was pressed lightly onto mine, and it felt like thousands of lice had been touching me in that area. I wondered how I could feel different about this man earlier on. He held onto my neck, strangling me.

"I warned you, Hazel," he said, gripping my arm tighter, and it hurt so badly that it heightened the pain in my hip, and I felt tears well up in my eyes. Just then, a loud bang was heard from the possible entrance.

I looked towards it and saw a silhouette of Draven, standing there with anger evident in his eyes. I could instantly tell the fun guy was most definitely in trouble.

I could feel my consciousness slowly weakening, and I was beginning to lose consciousness. I tried hard to keep my eyes open, but I couldn't even stand straight on my two feet; it felt as though I had two left feet, and I could do nothing but tremble.

It seems I had lost way more blood than I thought and was soon feeling weaker and weaker with every second that ticked by. My legs would soon give out, and my eyelids were forcefully trying to shut tight on their own.

Suddenly, there was someone holding onto me so tightly that a muscular arm was wrapped tightly around me. I felt a sense of security once more and left myself to succumb to the feeling.

Draven's POV

"What was the riddle?" Sam asked.

"He is at the place where the poor would go with fear and the rich would go with ego.” I replied in a haste.

"Okay, Alpha Draven, let's go inside one of the tents." He suggested it, and we all moved in to try and think together.

After a while, Sam suggested the bank, but since the only banks available are human banks outside of the woods and they are all up and running, there is no way the fun guy could have taken them both there.

I thought for a long time about the possible places he could have kept them when a thought suddenly popped into my head. I wondered if he was actually daring enough to go in there and hold them captive.

That was the only place no werewolf would ever dare step into because they all believed the spirits there wanted more and more spirits to join them and remain trapped with them for their own benefits.

Of course, it was just a myth told by the elders to keep young werewolves from all neighbouring packs away from the hospital as it seemed dangerous and someone could get really hurt inside.

In fact, no werewolf is allowed close to that vicinity, as the others who had gone there never came out unscathed; they either looked half dead or completely bruised to death.

I thought of the possibilities of the rogue werewolves being there and realised there was a good chance, but would they really be daring enough?

"Why can't you try finding her with the help of your mating bond?" Sam asked. I looked up at her, not knowing whether to tell him the truth or not.

"You have marked her, right?" Sam asked this time, and he seemed anxious to know my answer: "She is my true mate, but... I haven't marked her just yet." My voice got smaller as I reached the end of my statement.

"That doesn't matter for now; let's just try to find another means for us to save them. We do not know who exactly this fun guy is, nor do we know what exactly his motive is. But we can all suspect that he has a connection to Alpha Zac."
