Chapter 71 71

Chapter 71 71

Third Person POV

Draven just left the gathering of men he had been with earlier; it was something he found a bit tiresome, but he'd much better, so he sent Adrian  too; those old men would squeeze everything out of him and the company if they ever got a chance to do so.

He walked into the ballroom searching for Hazel, but he couldn't find anything about her or her whereabouts. He began asking some of the guests in attendance, hoping someone must have seen her around or something of the sort.

He reached into his pocket to call her but realised he wasn't with his phone. He hurriedly rushed to his car and took his phone from where it had fallen in his pocket.

He saw numerous missed calls from Hazel  and Noah; it was way too suspicious, so he called Hazel  first, but the line wasn't ringing in the slightest.

He was quite surprised and called her once more again, trying to guess what had happened, but he just couldn't. With no other choice, he called Noah as soon as he couldn't reach Hazel .

"Noah, what's the matter?" Draven spoke, trying his best to calm himself down.

"Alpha Draven, I presume Luna Hazel  has told you about the thing I told her; I have everything under control here." Noah was still speaking when Draven cut him off.

"Wait, what did you tell her? I haven't seen Hazel  ever since I left my business partners; what the hell is happening, Noah?" He asked furiously, but Slater was a bit silent over the phone, more silent than he should have been.

"Forgive me, Alpha, but I tried reaching you and I couldn't do it; instead, I told Luna to tell you about the emergency," Noah said with a shaky voice, no doubt he felt he had made a huge mistake that he couldn't take accountability for.

"Speak, Noah, what exactly did you tell her?" Draven asked; he knew Hazel  was the type to act before thinking; he couldn't forget that nature of her.

"I told her that the mission was a success, and the men I saved from the cells there reported cases of human trafficking and slave trading," Noah said sharply, not wanting to waste any time about delivering the news.

Draven didn't say anything for a few minutes; rather, he couldn't say anything. He tried his best to maintain his composure, but that was seemingly beyond him.

"And after that, what did she say?" Draven asked as gently as he could; he knew he couldn't blame it on Noah, and it was partly his fault for not carrying his phone with him.

"She said she would tell you and you would both investigate you," Noah replied after a bit of hesitance.

"And where is the location of the place you told her to go?" Draven could barely hold in his anger at this point.

"Inside the second gate, the bungalow on the right," Water finished, "I'm sorry, Alpha; I didn't mean to put the Luna in danger."

"Take care of the pack, Noah; I'll call you when I can later." Draven said as he cut the call, he turned around and headed towards the second gate beyond the hall where the ball was being held.

He took out his phone one last time and called the only person that was closest and he could rely on. "Where are you?" Draven said.

"Come into the second gate in the Stone estate and look for me; Hazel  has been kidnapped," Draven said and cut the call. He approached the gate and saw some security men there.

"Stop; beyond this point is restricted entry to all guests and non-members of the Stone Family." A man with a bug build stood with arms stretched out in front of Draven, but Draven didn't stop, nor did he explain himself.

He simply held the man by the collar of his shirt and flung him as hard as he could without killing him, sending him hundreds of meters away.

The other man in front brought out his gun in a panic and levelled it at Draven. "S.... stop"

"Stop or I'll shoot," the man said. "I'm not joking, I meant it. I don't care who you are; just stop," the man screamed, but Draven blitzed from the man's sight with incredible speed and took the gun from his hands.

With his raw strength, Draven crushed the gun in his hold, folding the metal as though it were paper. The man saw this and simply crumpled to his knees.

Draven walked past him and went forward; he didn't care what the Stone family did in secrecy; the only reason that he was even here in the first place was because Hazel  wanted her revenge, and he had promised her that.

But now they had kidnapped her, and truly, this time he would carry out his own revenge for the disrespect they had brought to him. He walked further and saw the bungalow on the right.

Without a sense of safety, Draven walked down the stairs, heading towards the basement. He could smell something sickly down there as he heard the noise of several people down.

He moved on and saw the three empty cells by the side and a metal door in front. The door had no budge or handle, but he could hear the voices of numerous people from beyond the door.

Without a second thought, Draven balled his fists and pinched the door with enough force to dent the metal door, shifting it from its hinges as the door groaned against the force it was hit with.

He changed positions and matched the door down with his right leg. The metal door lay flat on the door, and he walked through to the other entrance.

That one had a handle, so he opened it. He could also smell that Hazel  had been here already. He walked into the room, ignoring the eyes of prisoners that looked at him with dead eyes.

He ignored them all and followed Hazel 's scent till he reached a cell a little further down. He saw signs of improvement and physical force.

Draven heard footsteps rush down the hallway he had just come through; he turned around just in time to see Adrian  coming through. "Uncle," Adrian  said in a rush.

"What's the matter?"

"Where is she?"

"And what is this place?" He asked all at once as he looked around the room in surprise. The slaves all looked at the two men in surprise and hope; they thought they had come to save and free them, but Draven was doing all that he could to hold his anger in.

"Adrian , this is the work of your woman, I presume,"  Draven said in a low growl. "Now that can't be; she wouldn't even..." Before he completed his statement, he caught a whiff of her scent and stopped himself.

Indeed, Thalia had been here and probably was in charge of whatever it was that's going on here—slave trading, he thought to himself.

It was abolished decades ago, forbidding Werewolves from owning or selling humans to any and all purposes. Thalia had broken a taboo.

"Dorian, that bastard, he has to know about this." Draven fruited his teeth in frustration as he walked towards the door back again. He was going to find Dorian and beat that shit out of him if he had to before he heard what he had to say about Hazel .

It didn't matter if she was his daughter or not; Hazel  belonged to him and him alone. Adrian  followed fast after him in a rush.

Draven walked away from the areas passing the second gate as more men had gathered, but they gave way to him as he passed without so much as care in the world.

He stormed towards the ball; the even still seemed to be going on, but he didn't care, not in the slightest as he matched the door down, breaking them instantly.

"DORIAN!" His voice thundered; everyone stopped in surprise as they turned in horror to look at Draven, but then again, he didn't care.

"WHERE ARE YOU DORIAN? COME AND FACE ME, YOU BASTARD," but again there was no response. Adrian came in front behind his father, and in a low tone he whispered.

"Dorian and Elara are both missing; I can't see it sense then," Adrian  said with worry written all over his face.

"And Thalia? Where is she?" Draven asked as he focused his attention on his son, but Adrian  calmly shook his head. "Also missing," he finished.

Draven stormed out of the ballroom outside; he was furious and angry; he needed someone to vent all his rage on, but such a human could never live after that.

Bzzzzz

His phone rang in his pocket. Draven picked up his phone almost immediately; it was an unknown number.

"Alpha Draven, it's been a while," a female voice said through the phone, a voice he vaguely seemed to remember but not also.

"Who's this?" Draven asked cautiously. "I heard you're looking for your Luna," the feminine voice giggled.
