I'll Ba Damned
Jack saw Chris Belov walking towards the exit and said to Cindy. "Let me quickly speak to Belov while you chat with Emily. Hi Emily."

"Hi, Jack," Emily replied just as Jack walked away.

Cindy noticed that Emily looked more refined and polished than she did before and couldn't help but say, "You look very beautiful Emily."

"Emily smiled and said, "Not as much as you, Cindy. You have no idea how happy I am to see you and Jack together. It makes me so happy that my acting wasn't in vain."

"Well about that," Cindy said as she briefly scratched her head. "I know you made a deal with Jack but I still want to thank you for your flawless acting. I never would have guessed that everything you did was an act and I'm sorry I slapped you so hard."

"No, it's fine," Emily replied humbly. "I believe it came with the job. I am seriously rooting for your relationship with Jack which is why I am going to tell you this.

Watch out for your man because there's someone who wants to steal him from you."

Cindy stared at Emily in surprise while Emily recounted the conversation she had just had with the two girls she was standing with.

When Jack had walked into the party with Cindy, one of the girls had said, "See who just came in, the CEO of a star entertainment agency.

He is my dream man, so hot and sexy and I am going to make him mine. I've worked so hard just to get close to him and I made sure he got an invitation to this party."

When Emily had seen that the man the girl was referring to was Jack. She had said, "You can see he already has a beautiful girlfriend so just forget about going after him."

But the girl replied, "It doesn't matter. She isn't nearly as beautiful as I am and I'm yet to see a man who can resist my charms. Mark my words girls, I'm going to make him mine sooner than later and the lady by his side cannot stop me."

Cindy placed her hand on her chest. She knew Jack was sexy but that didn't mean she had to keep fighting to keep other girls away.

It was exhausting to do things like that. And besides, if they could overcome Maya who had Jack's trust, then this girl who was a stranger to Jack didn't stand a chance but Cindy was curious so she asked,

"Who is this girl and why does she feel so confident that she can take Jack away from me?"

Emily gestured towards where Jack was standing with her head and said, "She is Chris Belov's sister and his manager.

And I heard she went under the knife to get her perfect looks. I know you don't feel threatened by her but I will advise you to be careful and watch your back. She can be quite ruthless."

Cindy became worried the moment she heard that the girl in question was Chris Belov's sister. She knew how much Jack wanted Chris Belov to be an artist of star entertainment. Was this girl going to use her position to get close to Jack?

She thanked Emily once again and took her contact before walking over to Jack.

She could see him excitedly talking to Chris Belov with his sister who seemed like she wanted to eat him up.

She walked straight to where Jack was and held his arm. Jack smiled lovingly at her as he said, "This is Cindy Banks, my girlfriend. And Cindy, this is Chris Belov and his sister Lily Belov."

Cindy was in shock as she watched the both of them without saying a word. Lily was the one who said, "Oh my God! Cindy, it's such a small world."

Turning to her brother, Lily said, "Chris you remember Cindy, we used to be best friends back then and she had a huge crush on you."

Jack looked at Cindy in surprise as he suddenly recalled the story Cindy had told him about her childhood best friends, Lily and Daisy. She had conveniently left out the part where she had a crush on Chris Belov.

Cindy now understood why the name Chris Belov was so familiar to her. It wasn't because he was a renowned actor but it was because he was the first guy she ever had a crush on.

She recalled an incident that happened back then when she had gone to Lily's house. Chris was alone in his room dancing to a trending song while she watched him secretly.

When he eventually caught her, he pulled her into the room, made her sit on his bed, and said, "If you want to watch me dance, I would gladly let you. Someday I'm going to be a famous dancer so you can be my first fan and get my autograph.

He had signed his signature on her palm with his pen. It didn't mean anything to him but to her back then, that signature on her palm felt like the world. She had cried when it eventually came off after she tried her best to protect it for a few days.

She was only a child then and Chris was already a senior. The crush she had on him was known only by Lily and Daisy and they always teased her for it. It was no surprise to her that Lily blurted it out the moment they met after so many years.

Perhaps she thought it would make Cindy feel embarrassed or make Jack unhappy with her but Cindy knew it wouldn't matter.

She was more surprised about Chris Belov. He was one of the best dancers she knew back then, even in their school and everyone believed he was going to grow up and become a famous dancer.

Who would have thought that Chris Belov would end up becoming a world-renowned actor instead? He was really talented.

Anyways, these memories from her past were useless to her and had no bearing on her present life. She had Jack now, Tim was fine and she was living her best life. This was truly the happiest time of her life.

And Lily, a fake friend who had turned her back on her so many years ago when she needed a friend was the same bitch who wanted to take her man.

Cindy was surprised at how much Lily had changed. If it weren't for her name, she never would have recognized Lily, no matter what.

Back then, Lily was the least beautiful among all three of them but now, she looked so beautiful and sexy.

She was almost perfect but Cindy knew that just as Emily had said, Lily had gone under the knife so her beauty wasn't real.

There was nothing on her face that looked like the Lily she had known back then, she looked more like a beautiful barbie doll.

Was Lily hoping to steal Jack away from her with her made-up looks? She wasn't worried that she was going to lose Jack to Lily because she was convinced of his love for her.

Lily who had been evil right from childhood was certainly going to have a lot of schemes up her sleeves since she had said that she would get Jack for herself at all costs, irrespective of the fact that she had been told he had a girlfriend and it had turned out to be someone she knew.

As she thought of this, Cindy smiled and said inwardly, "I'll be damned if I let a bitch like you get your paws over my man."

Although she was surprised to see Cindy, Lily did not hesitate to try and make her feel embarrassed, the first chance she got.

Truth be told, she felt extremely jealous of Cindy. After Cindy lost everything back then and Lily kicked her out of their lives, she thought that Cindy would end up on the streets.

The most she had expected for Cindy was that she would get married earlier to a wealthy but older man who could foot her bills and help her care for her brother.

Who would have thought that Cindy would end up being the girlfriend of a man like Jack who was one of the most sought-after bachelors in the city?

The same man who was her love interest. No, Cindy did not deserve to be with someone like Jack. Jack was rather the perfect fit for her and the fact that Cindy was the one standing in her way, gave her more reasons to take Jack away and have him all to herself.
