Chapter 306 The More I Look, The More Handsome He Becomes

The five photographers quickly found their positions and angles.

Various cameras focused on the couple on the cable car.

Only one chubby photographer didn't rush to claim a spot, waddling along behind them.

Charlie led the makeup artists, staying nearby ready to provide support at any moment.

"Yes, Mr. Harrison, put your arm around Mrs. Harrison's waist and look at her."

The photographer directed their poses while shooting.

His voice was loud, echoing through the valley.

"Great, that's perfect. Now, Mr. Harrison, give Mrs. Harrison a kiss."

The moment the photographer finished speaking, Nicholas lowered his head.

He kissed Emma's lips directly, with no intention of pulling away.

The photographer stared in amazement, his eyes widening behind the viewfinder.

The other photographers adjusting their settings also froze, forgetting to press their shutters.

Emma lightly patted his shoulder, signaling him to tone it down.

But he grabbed her small hand with his large one, wrapping it completely, and kissed her even more deeply.

After a long while...

"Makeup artist! Touch-up needed!"

The chubby photographer finally snapped back to reality, shouting at the top of his lungs.

The bride's lipstick had been completely kissed away.

Emma's cheeks were flushed pink as she pushed against Nicholas's chest.

"Can't you be a little more professional?"

Nicholas chuckled low, his chest vibrating.

He leaned close to her ear, his breath warm.

"She's my own wife. I'll kiss her whenever I want."

Emma rolled her eyes at him.

However, two of the most professional photographers managed to capture the sweetest angles from this public display of affection.

After all, they were professionals.

At this dog food distribution scene, they could enjoy the show while still doing their job.

Throughout the entire day, they only changed three outfits.

They shot at the cable car, the lake center, and the chapel.

Emma felt like her legs weren't her own anymore, completely exhausted.

The makeup artist was equally tired, having lost count of how many times she'd had to reapply the bride's lipstick.

Nicholas and Emma were just too affectionate.

Once they started kissing, they couldn't stop, constantly giving everyone free entertainment, though it was a bit hard on the lipstick supply.

Before they knew it, night had fallen.

The photography team leader approached Charlie.

"Charlie, we still have two night scene setups. Should we ask Mr. Harrison and Mrs. Harrison to change outfits?"

Charlie waved his hand.

"Mrs. Harrison is tired."

"Mr. Harrison wants to accompany her back to rest. We'll shoot tomorrow. Pack it up for today."

"I've arranged a barbecue feast for everyone, follow me." Charlie smiled, leading everyone to their accommodations.

As darkness deepened, on the mountaintop observatory, in that beautiful and romantic secret garden.

Nicholas was holding Emma, kissing her among the flowers.

A soft cushion was nestled in the center of the blooms, surrounded by rich floral fragrance.

Only the sound of wind and flower scents filled the air.

This was also Nicholas's special arrangement.

He held her soft body contentedly, his strong arms keeping her firmly secured in his embrace.

But Emma seemed a bit distracted, worry in her heart.

"What if someone comes?"

He lifted his gaze, his eyes still burning hot in the darkness.

He nibbled gently on her ear.

"Focus, honey. No one dares come up here."

"But what if it rains?" Emma's bright eyes locked on his, water light floating in them.

Nicholas laughed.

He reached out, removing her last barrier, letting her lie flat.

"Baby, look at all those stars, how beautiful."

His voice carried a seductive huskiness.

"It won't rain tonight. Focus."

"Mmm. Good girl."

Soon after, Emma completely melted into his passionate rhythm.

She felt like she was floating in the sky, able to reach out and pluck the stars.

Heaven and earth, everything dissolved into nothingness.

In the entire world, only he and she remained.

"Honey..."

She murmured softly, her face glowing with an enchanting flush.

Nicholas smiled with satisfaction, working even harder...

...

The night was deep, and Jackson Mansion was brightly lit.

Evelyn had returned home after work and was now holding Annie, strolling leisurely through the garden.

The evening breeze carried a slight chill, brushing across her face and tousling her long hair that fell over her shoulders.

The daughter in her arms was quite excited, using both hands and feet, constantly waving about and playing with her hair.

Evelyn wasn't annoyed, just let her be, while the gloom in her heart lingered stubbornly.

Before long, Ruby came clicking out of the house in high heels.

She glanced at Evelyn with obvious disdain in her tone.

"Look at you, coming home from work and just staying in to babysit. How will you ever amount to anything?"

"Hurry up, change your clothes and come out to dinner with me."

Evelyn's arms tightened around her daughter, her mood low.

"Mom, I don't want to go. I want to stay with Annie."

Ruby stepped forward directly, scooping Annie from her arms in one swift motion.

"Stop arguing with me."

"You have twenty minutes. Go get ready, and remember to put on makeup. Don't embarrass me when we go out."

Evelyn looked at her daughter who'd been taken away, then at her domineering mother, and finally could only sigh in resignation, turning to walk into the mansion.

Twenty minutes later.

Evelyn came down from upstairs.

She'd changed into a well-tailored long dress, applied delicate light makeup, and wore a pair of small diamond earrings. Standing there, she was a stunning sight to behold.

Ruby nodded with satisfaction, handed Annie to the nanny, grabbed her car keys, and walked out first.

The red sports car roared to life, particularly eye-catching in the night.

Evelyn got into the passenger seat, fastened her seatbelt, and turned to study her mother.

Ruby was unusually flashy today.

Not only had she done full makeup with eyeliner that practically flew to the sky, she'd also put on that priceless engagement necklace she kept locked away, worth over a hundred million.

Everything seemed off.

Evelyn's heart skipped a beat.

"Mom, what's going on? Don't tell me you have a new target?"

"Are you dragging me along as cover for a date?"

This guess shocked her greatly.

Ruby drove without taking her eyes off the road, saying casually.

"What nonsense are you talking about?"

"It's just an old classmate. We're catching up."

"Male or female?"

Evelyn pressed, her internal alarms at maximum alert.

"Then why are you bringing me? I don't know your classmates."

Ruby completely ignored her rapid-fire questions, stepped on the gas, and the red sports car instantly accelerated, merging into traffic and soon disappearing into the deep night.

Soon after, Ruby led her daughter into a private club.

The club operated on a membership basis, frequented by familiar faces - many socialites and wealthy heirs liked to meet here.

Ruby and Evelyn settled onto a sofa.

Before long, a flashily dressed woman approached with a handsome man.

"Ruby, this must be Evelyn. She's grown up so much, absolutely beautiful." The woman called out dramatically.

Ruby wore a proper smile, "Your son is quite impressive too, very handsome."

She turned to introduce to her daughter.

"This is Mommy's good friend, Mrs. Reed, and this is Mr. Reed, Bruce."

"Nice to meet you." Evelyn nodded politely, maintaining distance.

Mrs. Reed also said to her son: "Bruce, this is Mrs. Jackson and her daughter, Evelyn."

Bruce's gaze fell on the woman before him. She was indeed very beautiful. He nodded slightly.

He'd only come back for a vacation and been dragged out by his mother. Given the current situation, what wasn't clear?

Sure enough, Mrs. Reed and Ruby exchanged glances and quickly found an excuse to slip away.

In the large booth, only Evelyn and Bruce remained sitting across from each other.

The atmosphere was a bit cold.

A server brought them coffee and pastries.

Evelyn was hungry and didn't stand on ceremony, picking up a fork to eat a piece of cake, showing no hint of restraint.

"Mr. Reed, what do you do for work?" she broke the ice first.

Bruce replied politely, "Novaria, Bluebird Tech."

Evelyn's fork paused, then she laughed, "You probably don't know much about your boss's background, do you?"

Bruce looked at her with confusion.

Evelyn pulled out her phone, found a photo, and showed it to him.

"I'm her sister."

Bruce looked at the familiar face in the photo with surprise, then also smiled.

The atmosphere instantly changed.

"You're so handsome, how did you also get dragged back for a blind date?" Evelyn complained.

"My mom just said she wanted me to accompany her to dinner." Bruce sighed, looking around, "This place doesn't seem to have anything good to eat."

"Want hot pot?" Evelyn's eyes lit up with a suggestion, "I know a place that's amazing. Shall we go?"

Bruce looked at this straightforward woman before him and was amused by her.

Just then, a stunningly beautiful couple walked in.

It was Luke, with his first love.

The woman wore a white long dress with her hair pinned up, gentle and moving, like someone who'd stepped out of a vintage poster.

As soon as she entered, people around nodded and greeted her. Clearly, this woman was someone important.

Luke's gaze swept over and darkened suddenly when he saw Evelyn with the man across from her.

Evelyn glared back at him.

Fury surged in Evelyn's heart. She stood up abruptly, about to leave, but her foot slipped and her ankle twisted sharply.

Bruce reacted quickly, extending his long arm to steady her.

"Are you alright?" he asked with concern.

Evelyn looked up and gave him a brilliant smile, "I'm fine. Looking at you now, you're getting more handsome by the minute. Let's go, first a good meal, then find somewhere to chat about life."

Her voice was neither loud nor soft, but clear enough, as if deliberately meant for someone to hear.

With that, she reached out and took Bruce's large hand proactively, leaving without looking back.

Luke's thin lips pressed into a straight line.

This woman really knew how to infuriate him.

At ten PM, Evelyn and Bruce emerged from Hot Pot City, waiting for a car by the roadside.

A familiar Maybach appeared silently before them.

Evelyn's eyes lit up as she grabbed Bruce's large hand again, acting intimately.

"Want to go to a bar? I'll take you somewhere lively."

Luke pushed open the car door and got out, pulled a cigarette from his pack and lit it, just quietly watching the two people not far away.

A taxi stopped in front of them.

Just as the two were about to get in, Luke threw down his cigarette, strode forward with his long legs, and rushed over.

He grabbed her wrist tightly, "Evelyn, quite capable now."

"Sir, please let her go." Bruce stepped forward, ready to fight.

Luke coldly barked, "Get lost. I'm talking to my wife, it's not your place to interfere."

Evelyn's heart jolted violently.

"Who's your wife?" She tried to shake off his hand but couldn't.

Luke ignored her struggles, wrapped his arm around her, and directly hoisted her over his shoulder.

Bruce tried to intervene, but four bodyguards in black appeared from nowhere, blocking his path.

Evelyn struggled and pounded on his shoulder, "Luke, put me down! What do you think you're doing?"

"What do you think I'm going to do?" Luke's voice was ice-cold and piercing.
