Chapter 37 Andrew Is Always Worried About Lucy.
Chapter 37 Andrew Is Always Worried About Lucy.
Andrew walked toward Lucy's room in a hurry and full of worry. I followed him out of curiosity. "What happened to Lucy?" I tried to ask, but Andrew didn't answer, nor did the maids, who were only busy watching Lucy.
"Call the doctor!" Andrew's voice rose; I knew he was very worried. A maid went to call the doctor. During that time, Andrew just paced back and forth, waiting for Lucy to regain consciousness, while the other maids tried their best to revive her.
I mustered the courage to approach. "What happened?" I asked.
"Lucy waited for Sarah Olsen in front of her house until she got rained on and fainted. The woman was truly hard-hearted and refused to forgive Lucy, not even to the point of going outside and seeing her. Lucy knelt in front of her house until she was soaked by the rain, and reporters were already swarming around her." Look at how quickly and angrily Andrew is speaking. He panicked and worried about Lucy.
I fell silent, and pain crept into my heart. Why could Andrew stay calm when he lost our baby twice, but he looked so angry when Lucy was ignored in the rain by Sarah Olsen? Even though he insisted that he only saw Lucy as a sister, with no other feelings. However, his behavior showed something else.
"You've already guessed that it's not easy to get forgiveness from Sarah Olsen, who has been wronged so much. You shouldn't be surprised by Sarah's behavior toward Lucy. Besides, Lucy could choose to go home and come back later, unless she stays because she wants attention," I said.
Andrew glanced at me silently, then approached me with a sharp gaze fixed on me.
"In a situation like this, you're thinking Lucy is just seeking attention?" I didn't expect Andrew to get angry; he couldn't accept that Lucy's fainting was intentional.
"You know exactly what Lucy is like," I said loudly.
"Let her have her own assumptions." That's Lucy's voice, making us reflexively turn toward the bed and see Lucy trying to get up.
"Don't get up yet; you haven't recovered," Andrew said worriedly, and that attention made Lucy smile.
"Please check her condition," Andrew requested.
"Her body is feverish, and she's quite chilled, sir." That statement just made Andrew go over to Lucy's bed and help her lie back down and use her blanket.
"I'm fine, Andrew. I'm fine." Lucy gave Andrew a statement with a smile for the umpteenth time. I know Lucy is very happy with Andrew's attention; it's all evident from her shy smile.
"Don't talk too much; you're sick right now," Andrew said. This time I feel like my presence doesn't mean anything. I'd better go back to my room now.
I turned and left Lucy's room with an uneasy feeling. I don't want Andrew back, but seeing him be so attentive to another woman makes me a little uncomfortable.
I immediately shook my head, banishing all the unwarranted jealousy that was still lingering in my mind and heart. I walked toward my room, the sound of the rain still pouring down heavily, and it reminded me of Andrew running while carrying Lucy and their soaking wet clothes.
Andrew reminds me of the time I miscarried my second child. It was raining heavily that day, and I fell after a long argument with Andrew. Andrew pushed my body until the thick red fluid came out.Andrew was shocked, and so was I. He then carried me and took me away toward the hospital, braving the heavy rain.
But at that time, Andrew wasn't this panicked; he had lost his son twice, but he didn't panic at all. His flat face when he lost our children really annoyed me. Does he really not want children from me? That's why he's acting normal, as if a life hasn't been lost.
When I got to my room, I decided to watch television, and I just realized how quickly the news spreads. Television is filled with Lucy and reports on how Sarah Olsen didn't open the door and apologize to Lucy. There are many pros and cons. Some blame Lucy for not admitting her mistakes in court, even though it's now proven that she did it. Others criticize Sarah Olsen for not wanting to forgive Lucy.
But if I think about it, Sarah was indeed at a disadvantage. Her face was still wrapped in bandages, and she was still limping. She had also lost a lot of work because of her physical condition, not to mention the arguments between her and Andrew, which caused further speculation among the public.
Now Sarah Olsen's name sounds bad because she dared to get close to Andrew. Even though she planned to boost her popularity, she ended up getting unlucky.
Sarah Olsen didn't want to make peace, didn't want to forgive; she insisted on reporting Lucy for her crimes and also reporting Andrew for protecting evil people like Lucy. Andrew had covered up Lucy's crimes many times, yet look at how Lucy ruined her life just because she wanted Andrew to be hers.
And when I turned off the television, suddenly a loud noise was heard outside. I rushed toward the balcony and saw many reporters swarming the gate of this house. I immediately hid; I couldn't let them find me and create more news about Andrew's life.
In hiding, I heard their voices shouting for Lucy to come out, asking Lucy to clarify if it was true that she came to Sarah Olsen's house yesterday to apologize for planning Sarah Olsen's car crash. The media wants to know more; the more coverage there is about Andrew, the happier they will be.
Andrew's men were trying to hold the fence to prevent the reporters from breaking through. Some of them were also climbing the fence, and Andrew's men were holding them back to prevent them from getting in here.
I ran out of the room to see Andrew. Andrew said this house was safe from reporters; no one knew about this house, but look how many reporters are swarming this house like ants around sugar.
Andrew is still in Lucy's room; they're laughing together, and it's making me so angry.
"Andrew, reporters are swarming your house, and you're still here?" I said angrily. Andrew turned around, and from his expression, I could tell he was quite surprised and had just realized the reporters were here.
"It seems they were following you earlier," Lucy said, with a forced expression as if she felt guilty.
"We can get rid of them, don't worry. And Matilda, you have to stay in your room. Don't let them see you if you don't want to be reported by the media." Only after that did Andrew leave Lucy's room, leaving me alone with that devil woman.
